    Awesome, wasn't sure what to expect but that solution is genius. Also, that drilling was impressive, never seen that before, something tells me a lot of plumbers don't know about this method.

    nice a neat job the only thing I say about the installation is it looks to close to the left hand side (to the wall).

    Out of interest, how did the guys drilling managed to avoid cutting straight through the pipe in the floor? Also, I guess you don’t have to worry about a damp proof course under the concrete? We certainly have those in the UK and I wonder how things are patched up once the DPC is compromised.

    Nice job, but doesn't the building code require a termite proof barrier to be installed when penetrate the slab? I know a few pest control techs and they all say slab penetrations cause a large proportion of termite infestations - and YES those little buggers easily get through the concrete you filled the hole with and being under the pan and tiles the owner won't detect them until its too late.

    I've got exactly the same issue... 25cm from the wall to the center of the pipe. Any other ways to mount a back to wall toilet without drilling the floor ? I cannot drill it because the whole house has underfloor heating pipes... :(

    Thanks mate, I'm trying to fit a back to the wall into my off grid cabin at Angledool and see that this one is flush on the tiles. I'm an older bloke with lots of arthritis and the pan is too low for me set this way. Do you have any ideas for me to raise it? The plumber who does work for me says it cant be set on a cement base.

      Hi I live in Australia and have chosen the Urbane Cleanflush to replace my 25 year old ensuite toilet. The description and specification sheet states the following: Bedding: the pan should be fixed to the floor with a sand cement mixture of 3:1 to a depth of 60mm. Do not use lime or fast drying in the bedding mixture. When bedded the back of the foot of the pan should be approximately 10mm above the finished floor. So the manufacturer recommends the concrete bedding, but as someone commented, plumbers tend to just use sealant and fit to the floor. I don't know what method my plumber will do, but I'm guessing it will be the easy way using sealant. Cheers.

      We've just had 2 installed - they're taller than any other toilet we've had before. Mine had instructions for a cement bed OR silicone sealant - I haven't seen anyone use a cement bed in years.

    Hi , do you cement bedding the toilet pan?

    • @vzgsxr
      @vzgsxr Před 4 lety +1

      No, most plumbers these days just silicone the pan to the floor tiles.

      @@vzgsxr See my comment above. I want to raise the toilet as its too low for my dickie knees and wonder if you have any ideas for raising the toilet.
