I got a feeling that’s by design as well. I think women probably don’t want to discuss the “ick” in question because admitting how something makes you feel means taking a stance on the issue, establishing a position. Once you’ve done that you’ve opened yourself up to critique and rebuttal. And most people in this position don’t truly want to have to defend their emotional responses to any number of things. Because, most often they aren’t exactly rational or charitable. So in order to keep from being criticized and held to account, these “icks” takes on this zeitgeist-y life as secret checklists of things women like to read into or dislike that aren’t open to reasoned confrontation.

Just had dinner with a female friend yesterday and we talked about her (nonexistent) romantic life. She's slightly taller for a woman (5'6) but also overweight (170lbs).
She complained about how there are no decent men out there across ALL of the dating apps she uses AND the church she goes to.
I brought up a couple of people we both know and she said no for reasons such as:
    - "he's too short, he has to be taller than me at least"
    - "he's too old"
    - " he's too fat"
Finally, she huffed and puffed and said "I only need them to be taller than me, around my age, and not overweight, is that too much to ask for?"
By the way, women always tell me the same thing: "I really only care about X, I don't have many standards at all"
Then when we actually go through their dating apps live, she makes every excuse under the sun to swipe left.
What is going on lol. Sometimes I feel like modern women are looking for a mythical creature rather than a human being. Very glad to be out of this market right now.

Also yesterday was another female friend's birthday. This one is also single (surprise) and she claimed that 99% of guys are out there just looking for hookups. The remaining 1% are either already married/in a relationship or are unintelligent.
I asked her what her main criteria for a partner was. She said "I need to be able to have intellectual conversations with him"
Ladies, you need to understand this. Men DO NOT look for a female partner to have "intellectual debates" with. In fact, that's the exact opposite of what the majority of men want. Men want to have a relaxed, peaceful, and affectionate time. In fact, most men I know wouldn't mind if there was no talking at all.
Courtney clearly understands male nature so she has taken steps to maximize her femininity, which men appreciate. Examples include:
      - speaking slowly with a soothing, unaggressive voice
      - not getting aggressive and belligerent in the face of trolls or negative comments. Instead reacting with grace and poise without getting rattled
I told my friend that if she had the same kind of peaceful, non-aggressive demeanor, she would easily find a man. Her appearance is definitely not the issue.
Lots of women will be rebellious and in denial until the bitter end. Some people need to be right more than they need the truth.

I asked.. "Uhh... why don't you just ask him out then?"
She said she'd rather die than do that because she is extremely afraid of rejection.

What pisses me off about the height thing is that they're talking about being AVERAGE as short. No one talks about average shoe size being small feet cuz by definition they aren't small they're average. Gotta stop calling it short cuz it isn't. I've dated plenty of women taller than me, at least one significantly taller at 5'11. Median height for males is between 5'6-5'8 that's where 80-90% of the population are at. Median height for females is between 5'1-5'4 I think so average male is gonna be taller than average female regardless, so where did this obsession over height from women come from? If ladies are dumb enough to limit themselves to 15% of population then they have absolutely ZERO right to complain when they can't find someone.
In the past 20+ yrs I have seen women become far more shallow & far more entitled from dating in my 20s. There are good women out there gents, you just gotta decide if it's worth crawling through sewage of filth to find them.

I get annoyed by anybody using the "when you get a chance" type line. They want you to do it now, but feel bad if you get up now and take care of it. But if you don't do it in the next few minutes they get upset for not doing it, but what if i honestly wont have a chance for an hour, half a day or a week? And now I'm the bad guy for making them feel bad if I do it immediately (making them feel like they inconvenienced me because they honestly did) or because I did do it in the time they wanted it done.
And what is even more annoying about such a phrase is that its often something that can be done and finish in the time it takes to come to me and tell me. That it would have been easier and quicker to do it themselves and often, if i don't do it immediately, they do it themselves a few minutes later anyways. Often it seems as if its being used to purposely be inconvenient or lazy.
And this is a type of phrasing i've heard from both men and women of family, friends and acquaintances. I wish people could be direct and precise on their time frames.

Technically, offering to talk to someone, charging them $5 or whatever amount, taking the money, blocking them without doing the promised talking is actually petty crime and also suable. Personally, I think it's all RIDICULOUS, but sooner or later one of these ladies will take enough money from the wrong guy and will find herself in a comical legal situation.
Nobody's going to sue over $5-10 dollars, but if the girl does this dozens, or even hundreds of times, or does it with a serious amount of $$, some inventive litigious type is eventually going to get jilted and decide on some creative revenge. More ridiculousness for the rest of us to watch.

Hi Courtney just wanted to say that your groundedness and genuineness is quite attractive and it garnishes respect. I also think that modern people seem to lack humility insofar as they are unwilling to accept a partner who is at the same level if not lower than. Which is why we have all the manipulation and game playing. Since these people are of a lower status they can't just be themselves that would reveal their lower status and thus remove their chance to get a higher tier partner. Everyone wants to go higher this is more prevalent with women however...

There's nothing wrong with wanting to date someone who you're attracted to but if all you're looking for is 10/10 gigachads you're probably not going to find a long-lasting relationship. Sometimes you need to lower your standards (especially when it comes to appearance) because most guys don't look like Keanu Reeves.
I also find that usually when I do start dating a guy that I think is average he becomes a lot more attractive when I get to know him and see the way he treats me.
I think a lot of this comes from toxic beauty standards for men and a lot of these women don't know what the average man looks like. They expect to see a bunch of 10s walking around when that's not really common at all.

Media that work on the basis of numbers (eg dating apps) will naturally emphasize quantifiable characteristics, because that is what they are best at. Whether or not plugging in some numbers will get someone the perfect guy or girl is pretty debatable though. Humans have aspects that aren't easily measured, and sometimes even difficult to put into words, that can make people who maybe look a bit iffy "on paper" incredibly charming in person.

I'm 6 feet tall, 32 years old, but had no relationship at all. I think some reason for that is my own faults I made, but also the girls are just strange. Also there currently was no girl were I think that she would have been a good match in the retrospective. But now I have a good income, so I'm beginning to enjoy being single. This year I want to invest all my money, but next year I will book an escord lady as a personal birthday present for myself. And the sylvester next year I maybe will book 2 escords just to try out how it is to have a date (and the bedroom fun) with 2 girls at the same time - imagine how hard it would be to explain your girlfriend, that you want to try out having an additional girl in the bedroom or a date/relationship with 2 girls at the same time) ;-). And after the "date" everyone goes it's own way, so no "running costs" like the ones I would have when being in a relationship. And I'm also more into the younger girls (20-25), so I just simply can book one for having some nice hours. Starting a relationship with a 20 to 25 year old girl would be much harder.
Also I didn't met any girl so far, which I would want to settle with. I'm looking more for the traditional, but feminine woman that would do the household stuff and surprise me with her nice cooking skill after my work day, while I'm earning the money for the family and it's really hard to find a girl that would match in that way (and I'm currently still working on getting up to an income where I can fund a family). Another reason is, that I want to migrate out of my current country within the next years, so having a girlfriend now would make everything more complicated.

Got a good laugh out of the guy with the Christmas lights. "When you get a chance" means you get to finish your sandwich or send the email you're working on, but then you certainly have a chance to do what I just asked you to do. Once you figured out what that means, it's not much of an issue anymore.

When you talk about not dating Guys that go to strip clubs are you talking about guys that frequented strip clubs or Guys that just occasionally go to strip clubs or have been to a strip club but I haven’t been to one in a long time?

There is some evidence that if you are quite muscular women will somewhat overlook your height. It's rough out there for short men. 😕

I don’t understand why you say that it’s cringe when the man said that it was the best night of his life even though the woman said it was normal! To me it’s irrelevant what the woman said, maybe it really was the best night of his life! The way I see it, if it was the best night for him than amem I’m happy for him, I don’t see that as cringe!

It's cringe that a guy would say something like that out loud.
