    Respect, loyalty and her honour along with emotional needs is very very important to a wife. I won't say women because I don't know how women who are girlfriends feel. But a wife definatly feels the need to be respected, honered and emotionally loved. And in return she will be obedient for the sake of Allah. How can you do that is to value her efforts, her words and just be kind. The one thing that can totally rock the boat is lying or telling half truths. Once that creeps in, its finished. She will lose all respect for her husband. If a husband and wife love for the sake of Allah and marry with correct intention, then Allah will put love and sabr in their hearts. And if your married to a rotten egg, you will know that too, whether your the wife or husband. And then you get divorce and move on.

      @Jack Ass respect and abuse are 2 different things. Who in the world will call abuse respect. If these women go back its because of emotional attachment and they don't see life without them working out. Maybe if these women put Allah first and had more stronger attachment to Allah they could leave an abusive husband and get help from family. When anyone has Allah they will never feel alone or to stick with anyone who is abusing them.

    Asalamualaikum brother Rumaanii,
    From my experience dealing with many married women while my husband was imam in the West brother is that, it's NOT only about emotional fulfillment, but indeed for a woman it also PHYSICAL fulfillment...
    So , sadly, many many many women do not get physical/ sexual fulfillment in their intimacy with their husbands and this automatically leads them to see the intimacy with them just so unpleasant duty and they will start to hide away from that.... but as soon that she HERSELF will find physical fulfillment in her relationship then she will automatically want intimacy much more
    It is up to the husbands to make sure that their wives also get their fulfillment and it is up to the wives to talk about this problem and not be too ashamed or too angry that the husband does not understand that by themselves
    I hope this helps.

      @Black Roses To be fair, if you look at the "raw material" it does seem treating your wife right is almost like how you're supposed to treat a child. It sounds extreme. But the thing is, it goes both ways. You should try to be an understanding and listening ear for the wife, but at the same time the wife should understand to not "take advantage" and not to bother her husband. Just like your wife should sexually please you whenever you want. However, you, as a husband, can't just expect your wife to have sex every time, because some times she might be ill or tired or really not in the mood. As long as both parties understand their rights and obligations it will be a harmony. If it's one sided it'll never work out and one person will be mistreated and/or taken advantage of.

      @kayc.8283 Před 3 lety +2

      Don't disregard her feelings in anyway. Even in argumentation, don't dismiss her, dont make her feel like she dosent have a voice. Dont gaslight, dont be avoidant or passive aggressive when it comes to problem solving. Many times, men in islamic marriages say "thats not a big deal, your making a mountain out of a mole hill" when in reality, the responsibilities of a husband and wife are different, so just bc you may think an issue she has is not a big deal to you, dosent mean she doesn't thinks the same as you. Listen attentively. Dont argue with her but listen. Be the patient one first, have sabr first. Lead by example first. Try and make her life easier by lessening some of her duties to you. This will go along way with her feeling appreciated. This I believe is how to get a woman to be submissive and obedient to you willingly without using scripture to remind her. Put yourself in the position of a wife, think about what a woman wants from her husband. Listen to other women's experiences. If you keep hearing the same thing over and over again by different women, make a mental note to implement this in your own relationship. All in all, be the person she can rely on.
