Can I just install used one that has no accident ?
You can part number has to be exact and you and you will need to program passenger seat since the module is from another car so cheaper to fix original then pay to buy and pay to program

Hello, can I reset an airbag module for a 2017 HR-V using carprog V8-21?
I just bought 2016 civic lx, 2 doors. Previous owner cut both driver and passenger SRS wires. How do I reconnect those wires since they have the same color (light blue).? I noticed on the connector marked 1 and 2.
Good video just brought a salvage civic with really minor damage no airbags or seatbelts went off but it says module fault seems odd to me from a small dent is that enough to set crash data

Hi, i have a 2013 Honda Fit which has been on an accident, blown front driver Airbag and passenger curtain Airbag, I'm thinking on buy an eeprom programmer, i found a web that offers to clear some eeprom but its limited, My Specific SRS module Part number is 77960-TK6-A042-M1, but in that web i only Found 77960-TK6-A030-M1 which is the module that came in the same model, But 2009 to 2011 years, do you think this program would work on my eeprom/SRS Module?
Hi I have a 2018 Honda Accord I'm in California i took my car to a place that Fixes Srs Modules the place fix my Module my Srs light went away but now i Have Abs Steering Angle sensor light Tps light Brake light . The car wont recalibrate it didn't have any of the lights i mentioned before the fix was done on Module.

I buy them from arlabs they are expansive cost me $251 shipped to my location I’m trying to see if there is a cheaper option out there cause if you do a lot of modules you will need to change these plugs every 3 month

When I remove the part . Take out the negative from battery first? Can I connected back and use the car like that meanwhile? It won’t mess it up?
No just do it its got nothing to do with the engine

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE FIRST, Wait 3 minutes, then disconnect Battery positive before removing / reconnecting the Airbag module.

Hello! I'm going to buy a used honda and a dealer is going to replace this module. Does it mean that he can hide error codes from the crash after such a change? How can I know then that the car was not in a crash? It's my first car :)
If any sort of device that has some kind of memory, it can be reset or replaced. Modules can be replaced, memory chips can be soldered out and swapped. Packages and serial numbers are easy to copy. Think of Shen Zhen part-assembled iPhones.
There really is not a guarantee from in-vehicle electronics on whether there was a crash or not, if you are looking for that.
Why is it necessary to clear the crash data afterall? In my case curtain airbag and pre-tensioner blown in a side impact. what is my sequence of repair plzz?

You can but you will need to make sure no crash and you will need to program

Can I just grab a module out of another car at the junkyard and plug it in and it’ll work?
Make sure that yours and the one grab from. Junk yard has the same Serial number. And matches the make and model of your car.
