- How to Reset Subaru SRS Airbag Module Clear Crash Data. In this video i show a step by step video instructions how to reset Subaru airbag module crash code. This airbag module has renesas mpu so same procedure is used on other Subaru airbag with same renasas mpu. Airbag control module reset do require spacial programmers, clear files and pin out to connect to read the processor.
Renesas H8SX172x come in Honda airbag modules, Toyota airbag modules, Suzuki airbag modules and Subaru airbag modules.

No you don’t have to, It’s already programmed to it, If you change the module then some cars may need to be programmed but the original doesn’t need to be programmed again

So yes it did not work with straight connection you must use the ISP adapter.

I try doing a Honda and Toyota module with renesas chip and I get the message “adapter disconnected ….cpu r5f51725 uart - work with adapter isp “ the rj48 cable is connected properly . I do pinout as shown in image. Short the points and remove resistor .
