The verses of the Holy Qur’an on inheritance state:
4:12 Allah commands you concerning your children: a male shall have as much as the share of two females; but if there be females only, numbering more than two, then they shall have two-thirds of what the deceased leaves; and if there be one, she shall have the half. And his parents shall have each of them a sixth of the inheritance, if he have a child; but if he have no child and his parents be his heirs, then his mother shall have a third; and if he have brothers and sisters, then his mother shall have a sixth, after the payment of any bequests he may have bequeathed or of debt. Your fathers and your children, you know not which of them is nearest to you in benefit. This fixing of portions is from Allah. Surely, Allah is All- Knowing, Wise.
4:13 And you shall have half of that which your wives leave, if they have no child; but if they have a child, then you shall have a fourth of that which they leave, after the payment of any bequests they may have bequeathed or of debt. And they shall have a fourth of that which you leave, if you have no child; but if you have a child, then they shall have an eighth of that which you leave, after the payment of any bequests you may have bequeathed or of debt. And if there be a man or a woman whose heritage is to be divided and he or she has neither parent nor child, and he or she has a brother or a sister, then each one of them shall have a sixth. But if they be more than that, then they shall be equal sharers in one-third, after the payment of any bequests which may have been bequeathed or of debt, without prejudice to the debt. This is an injunction from Allah, and Allah is All-Knowing, Forbearing.
4:177 They ask thee for instructions. Say, Allah gives you His instructions concerning ‘Kalalah’: If a man dies leaving no child and he has a sister, then she shall have half of what he leaves; and he shall inherit her if she has no child. But if there be two sisters, then they shall have two-thirds of what he leaves. And if the heirs be brethren - both men and women - then the male shall have as much as the portion of two females. Allah explains this to you lest you go astray, and Allah knows all things well.
Explanation
Under the commentary of verse 4:13, a brief portion explains what the divisions constitute:
It may incidentally be noted here that heirs are divided into two main groups:
Dhawu’l-Fara’id (sharer) i.e. persons to whom Islam allots a fixed and definite share (1/2, ¼, 1/8, 2/3, 1/3, or 1/6) in the estate of a deceased person.
‘Asabat (residuary) i.e. the heirs who receive the residue after the Dhawu’l Fara’id have received their allotted shares.
It is, however, not necessary that a member of the first group should always remain a Dhu’l Farida (sharer). In certain cases, he may be both a Dhu’l Farida (sharer) and an ‘Asaba (residuary) and in other cases he may be simply an ‘Asaba (residuary).
The Dhawu’l-Fara’id (sharers) are 12 in number, four males and eight females.
The males are:
Father
Paternal grandfather
Husband
Half-brother on the maternal side.
The females are:
Daughter
Son’s daughter
Mother
Wife
Full sister
Half-sister on paternal side
Half-sister on maternal side
Grandmother whether paternal or maternal.
The ‘Asabat (residuaries) are of four kinds:
Ascendants of the deceased i.e. father, paternal grandfather, etc.
Descendants of the deceased i.e. son, son’s son, etc.
Descendants of the father of the deceased i.e. full brother, brother’s son, etc.
Descendants of the grandfather i.e. full paternal uncle, paternal uncle’s son, etc.
[Larger Edition of the Commentary of the Qur’an, Volume 2, pp. 504-505, under verse 4:13]
The objections raised are specifically against the Sharers (Dhawu’l Fara’id), which constitutes the fractional portions. Anti-Islamists claim that these don’t add up to a whole number, but they are not meant to necessarily round up to a whole number. There are residue amounts left over which are considered as well, thus no matter what the case may be, regardless of whether there are fractional portions left over or not, the divisions happen according to the amounts which are left, debts and strangers are paid off first, then the remaining portion is divided among family members, some inheriting at one stage of division, then others get remaining portions of the division. If anyone wishes to consult this matter further they are invited to read the book “Algebra of Mohammed Ben Musa” edited and translated by Frederic Rosen, 1831, specifically the latter portion of the book starting from the chapter entitled “On Legacies”. To give some background, this book was written by the famous Al-Khawarizmi, who invented the modern algebra by utilizing it for the shares of inheritance. Thus, the problem with those trying to grasp the numbers in Islamic inheritance “not adding up” is due to a lack of mathematics on their part and their ignorance of algebra. Algebra was named because of Al-Khawarizmi (Al-Jabr), so anyone who wishes to learn how inheritances were computed should look to the father of modern algebra before they raise further objections.
Summary
The allegations against the Quran that its maths is wrong when dividing inheritance is due to lack of knowledge of how inheritance works and lack of knowledge of maths on the part of those who raise this objection. A simple reading on how the system of inheritance in Islam works and what’s the maths behind it would alleviate any doubts on this subject.

*WHO AUTHORED THE QUR´AN???😂* Someone must have produced it! After all, how many desert men have stood up in the history of man and given the world a book like the Quran? The book has amazing details of past nations, prophets, and religions as well as accurate scientific information unavailable at the time. What was the source of all this? If we were to deny the divine origin of the Quran, we are left with only a few possibilities: The Prophet Muhammad authored it himself. He took it from someone else. In this case, he either took it from a Jew or a Christian or one of the foreigners in Arabia. The Meccans did not bother to accuse him of having taken it from one of them. A brief response from God is: *"And they say, ´Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon.’ Say, [O Muhammad], ‘It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."* (Quran 25:5-6) It was well known to his detractors that Muhammad, who was raised among them, never learned how to read or write from the time of his birth. They knew whom he befriended and where he had traveled; they acknowledged his integrity and honesty by calling him ‘Al-Ameen,’ the Reliable, the Trustworthy, the Honest. Only in their revulsion against his preaching did they accuse him - and then it was anything they could dream up: He was accused of being a sorcerer, a poet and even an imposter! They could not make up their minds. Allah/God says: *"Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way."* (Quran 17:47) Simply, God is aware of what is in the heavens and the earth, He knows the past and the present, and reveals the truth to His prophet. Most religions are based on books claimed by their followers to be divinely inspired, without any proof. Islam is different because it is based upon reason and proof. There are clear signs that the book of Islam, the Quran, is the word of God and we have many reasons to support this claim. It is important to note that the Quran is not a book of science but a book of ‘signs’. These signs are there for people to recognise God’s existence and affirm His revelation. As we know, science sometimes takes a ‘U-turn’ where what once scientifically correct is false a few years later. The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century. Science at the time was primitive, there were no telescopes, microscopes or anything even close to the technology we have today. People believed that the sun orbited the earth and that the sky was held up by big pillars at the corners of a flat earth. Within this backdrop the Quran was revealed, and it contains many scientific facts on topics ranging from astronomy to biology, geology to sociology. Some people may claim that the Quran was changed as new scientific facts were discovered but this cannot be the case because it is a historically documented fact that the Quran is preserved in its original language. The Quran was written down and memorised by people during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad. One of the copies of the Quran which was written a few years after the death of the Prophet Muhammad is preserved in a museum in Uzbekistan. This copy is over 1400 years old and is exactly the same as the Arabic Quran that we have today. *for examples: 1. Origin of Life:* Water is essential for all living things. We all know that water is vital to life but the Quran makes a very unusual claim: *"We made every living thing from water? Will they not believe?"* (Quran 21:30) *2. Iron:* The Quran says the following on the origin of Iron: *"We sent down Iron with its great inherent strength and its many benefits for humankind." (Quran **57:25**) *3. Sky’s Protection* the Quran asks us to consider the sky in the following verse: *"We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they are turning away from Our signs!"* (Quran 21:32) *4.Mountains* the Quran draws our attention to a very important characteristic of mountains: *"Did We not make the earth a resting place? And the mountains as stakes?"* (Quran 78:6-7) *5. Expansion of the Universe* at a time when the science of Astronomy was still primitive, the expansion of the universe was described in Quran: *"And it is We who have built the Universe with [Our creative] power and keep expanding it."* (Quran 51:47) *6. Sun’s Orbit* the Quran mentions the orbit of the Sun: *"It is He who created night and day, the Sun and the Moon, each floating in its orbit."* (Quran 21:33) *7. The Ocean* the Quran uses imagery to covey its deep meanings, here it describes the state of the unbelievers as: *"Darkness out in a deep ocean which is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. Those God gives no light to, they have no light."* (Quran 24:40) *8. Lying and Movement* there was a cruel oppressive tribal leader named Abu Jahl who lived during the time of Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him. God revealed a verse of the Quran to warn him: *"No Indeed! If he does not stop, We will seize him by the forehead, his lying, sinful forehead."* (Quran 96:15-16) *9. Pain Receptors* for a long time it was thought that the sense of feeling and pain was dependent on the brain. However it has been discovered that there are pain receptors present in the skin. Without these pain receptors, a person would not be able to feel pain. Consider the following verse on pain: *"We shall send those who reject Our revelations to the (Hell) Fire. When their skins have been burned away, We shall replace them with new ones so that they may continue to feel the pain: God is Almighty, All-Wise."* (Quran 4:56) God tells the people who reject his message that when they are in Hell and their skins are burnt off (so they can’t feel any pain), he will give them new skins so that they continue to feel the pain. The Quran makes it clear that pain is dependent upon on the skin. The discovery of pain receptors in the skin is a fairly recent discovery for Biology. Salam!

Salaam(Peace) to all. My Teachers advice us not to argue with non-Muslims about religion. They teach us to convey the Message of the Prophet (peace be upon him). When it comes to Islam, it's not about who is right and who is wrong, it's rather about what is the Truth and what is not. If we argue with the people, they will become difensive, and not listen to the truth.
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْءٍ جَدَلًا - 18:54
And We have certainly diversified in this Qur'an for the people from every [kind of] example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute.
وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَّا أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ الْأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ قُبُلًا - 18:55
And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ ۚ وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ ۖ وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَمَا أُنذِرُوا هُزُوًا - 18:56
And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. And those who disbelieve dispute by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth and have taken My verses, and that of which they are warned, in ridicule.

Just asking because I'm an American convert & my wifey is Egyptian & whenever I go back to Egypt (after I visit family and have my yearly surgery) I always get ill 2 or 3 times within the 1st 2 months.

It depend where you eat your food or maybe you have an allergy, I'm from Morocco normally you will have no problem if you eat the Moroccan dishes , the Moroccan gastronomy is classed the second in the world as one of the best gastronomy

@@HCMSainacr - I'm from Las Vegas so we are hotter but Egypt has more humidity. I am thinking it has to be the water sources. Some fruits, tomatoes or cucumbers, if I eat them within the 1st 2 weeks, yes I am getting ill but after my body adapts. I get my fruits and veggies from the market fresh or from the main big store Carrefour.
Alhamdulillah. I know our food, water & systems are different and it takes time for the body to adjust.
@@mhd9166 - of course. I don't eat at places where I deem it to be dirty. I do love street food but I watch how things are prepared & cook before I dine in. It is usually the water in my opinion. I don't drink the water at all but the fruits and veggies contain it.
I believe that is where my system gets shocked but once I stay longer than 2 months, Alhamdulillah, my system is adapted.
if you don't mind me to ask what kind of surgery did you have? because that can be a problem if you eat the wrong food that you shouldn't be eating after surgery. Also, keep in mind the change of weather and location can affect the taste of food, for example the water taste much different in Morocco then the one in US. But I'll guarantee you that you will be eating the best food in the world!! I recommend that you try Tajin, Coucous, Pastila, Harira(soup), Tea, Tanjia...........Damn I missed my country Lol

Allah guides whom he wills. WE don't have to prove anything to anyone else. There are literally so many proofs for Islam. His disbelief solidifies my belief even more, because anyone who truly understands knows the game hes playing. Imagine a person went through life thinking like James? He'd never get off the starting block. His entire basis is conjecture and he builds his foundation on it. Life MAKES you choose a path and if you don't choose then one will be made for you (this is always the worst path) we are all by default slaves to something. Money,power,desires,material,popularity, fame,notoriety etc. A believer knows these are all dead end streets. The only thing capable of giving utter contentment is an unwavering faith in Allahswt.
