JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023, Tokyo, Japan - Discover a future you can't wait to navigate!

The name of the show was changed from the Tokyo Motor Show to the Japan Mobility Show. 2021 was cancelled due to the the coronavirus pandemic, but the show was held for the first time in four years. This time, the show was changed from an exhibition of automobiles only to an exhibition of mobility as a whole. However, I felt that the show was not so different from past motor shows. As was the case last time, Toyota Motor Corporation and its group companies seemed to put particular effort into the exhibition, making it seem like it was still the Toyota Motor Show. It was disappointed that not many foreign automakers participated in the show, but the venue was gorgeous, and I enjoyed myself from past 11:00 until the closing time at 19:00, when I was exhausted.
The black car in the beginning of this video is the Mitsubishi Starion, a sports car produced from 1982 to 1990. It was the automobile of the "Mitsubishi Team" played by Jackie Chan and Richard Kiel in the movie "Cannonball Run II" about the transcontinental race in the United States.
The gull-wing door model appeared in a Japanese detective drama. This is my very favorite car.
Ohlins is the premier suspension manufacturer and has been remarkably active in racing. This Ohlins booth was popular for grid girls Costumes. There was also a stand set up for photography, and some visitors were eagerly taking pictures with their DSLR cameras. Thank you to Ms. Saaya Asakura, grid girl of the OHLINS Roadster NATS in Super Taikyu endurance race, for making eye contact with my camera even though I was using a smartphone . The new model of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation's "Super Great" heavy-duty truck was very impressive with its bright red color and power that made us think it was going to fly into space. I was also impressed by the promotional Model's very smiling and soft facial expression. Both the "Super Great" and the promotional Model were very beautiful.
Toyota Boshoku Corporation, known as a major manufacturer of automobile seats and interior components, exhibited near-future mobile spaces envisioning automated driving and electrification-compatible products under the theme of future mobility life. The Nissan booth was a very beautiful space with LED panels in the car display area. Honda's aircraft exhibit was very impressive. Yamaha Motor's MOTOROiD2, an autonomous motorcycle that does not fall over, and a woman performing a dance while moving around were impressive.
In addition, there was a product exhibit by Japanese toy manufacturer Takara Tomy. Licca-chan dolls have been loved by many Japanese girls children for more than half a century. Tomica (toy car) was not only on display, but also on sale, including a commemorative model for the Japan Mobility Show.
The glamorous afterglow of the Japan Mobility Show 2023 lingered in my mind, and I didn't want to exit. The next show is scheduled for 2025, but I can’t wait until then. We hope that the show will be held every year.
