  • Selected as one of the “Top 20 World Architectures” by the British newspaper “The Times”, this is one of the most famous buildings in Japan. It is also the world's first connected skyscrapers. Two 40-story buildings are connected at the top, with a restaurant on the 39th floor, an observation gallery on the 40th floor, and a “Kuchu Teien Observatory” on the rooftop portion, which offers a panoramic view of the Osaka cityscape from 173 meters above ground. It is a spot where visitors can enjoy themselves while taking a panoramic walk. The building has a futuristic design and an exciting ride up by a see-through escalator. Inside the building are offices, stores, showrooms, an event hall, a movie theater, an art museum, and a bus terminal, as well as a restaurant district in the basement.
Koinobori are carp-shaped windsocks displayed on Children’s Day (May 5 th) in Japan. Carps are a symbol of strength, courage and success in the Japanese culture because of their ability to swim upstream. Parents display Koinobori as they pray for the growth of children. Koinobori festivals are held throughout the country in May.
