Look kids, this is called talent
Such a great song.., and played with not their instruments..
Excellent! Played from their hearts ❤❤ and souls
No autotune. Pure natural talent
Exactly. When life and music was better lol.
I wouldnt say life was better, but i cant argue that the music was indeed.@@johnnyenglish9622
Branford Marsalis deserves credit here as well. His added flavor to the songs he preformed with them is really beautiful.
So true!
Absolutely!!
Played on many of Sting's albums
Phil Collins is such a massive legend that he performed in London on 13th July and and then flew to US for the performances you see with Eric Clapton.
Phil is a hero! May he get all the strength in the universe!
I think you wrote "ego" wrong, it's not spelled "legend" :)
Come on, I love Phil, but that was some stupid shit, and surely even he would agree now. What's heroic about taking a Concorde flight?
@@frankslade33 Go back to school and ask your mama to teach you some manners at the same time.
Yes❤❤
Dokładnie wsiadł w samolot i poleciał do Stanów.
@@marcino7688What are you implying?
Amazing talents.
One drummer playing the piano and one bassist playing guitar. Both flawless in front of some 20% of the global population of the time.
Because they are extremely talented musicians. Ibdon't expect this from ordinary musicians.
Sting actually hit a few duff notes after the first chorus. 😊
Example 1:53 sting is a half tone off. Still good performance

This video never gets old.
This is what LIVE MUSIC should be
Decades later and we've made no progress, we've only regressed. Trillions in charity and billions of hours in volunteer work yet Jesus words at Mathew 26:11 "you'll always have the poor with you" are truer today then ever before.
Yet it is in Jesus Christ in Who is humanity's only hope. He first came to pay our sin debt. Coming again to restore creation back to how YHWH intended it.
In the meantime we all have The Choice to make. To follow Him or reject Him.
Have experienced the passing of two family members so far this year. Long Way to Go is a fitting song to remember suffering is everyone's business. With Holy Spirit's help, perhaps we can be there for other hurting people & be of some comfort. 💜🛐
This song is so beautifully haunting. Loved seeing Sting and Phil doing it live!
look at this musican, one of the greatest. Happy birthday Mr. Collins.
Class act. Great song but also check out "Miami Vice Long, long way to go" for a long, lingering gut-wrenching scene. Phil s' unique talents contributed greatly to many episodes of this iconic TV series from the 80s.
💯
Two icons performing a great song together at an epic event. Pretty powerful stuff from back in the day.
Two of my 80s heroes in one haunting song? A massive yes PLS!
Phil is the best live singer all over the world! Hopefully he ever life...
I will always remember this Live Aid performance and of course Miami Vice
Excellent song. Always reminds me of Miami Vice 🌴,.....
I was only six, so I didn't get to go to this. But I watched it live on our local channel because I live right across the bridge from Philly. A lot of people I knew got to go though. It was amazing, and it was some of the best music to ever be released in the past century. Some of the greatest bands and musicians as well.
Love this tune love this performance.
This was done just eight days after my 13th birthday in 1985. These two helped define the sound of the 80's, and they are two of my favorite performers. I remember it featuring in the MIAMI VICE episode "Sons And Lovers" (season 2).
Complete masterpiece . . . I get total body chills and goosebumps within the first 30 seconds of this song always. Xox
Two legends ❤ I'm 22 and the first time I heard this song I was like, wait is that sting? He's not really credited in the title so I was excited to find out they collaborated (I'm a new fan of both lmao)
Phil Collins is a true inspiring legend for me
This man's songs from the 80s gives me chills 👌🏿🔥
I have watched it live!
Every song Phil made is a classic.. every song..all hits..can't believe it just hit me now but yea
Awesome performance, awesome song. With no lip synching either.
Two of the best voices in music of the past forty years! Two of the best musicians ever.
Still powerful in these times ❤❤
Back when you didn't have to be a sex symbol to be a popular musician - your talent MADE YOU attractive.
It is still pertinent today and forever will be. We really do have a long long way to go
Beautiful song and two legends ❤❤
..what good times when music was played..
Sir, you are the definition of 'Hauntingly Familure' and will remain so❤
Two great vocalist
Icon of the 80s .. How the hell do the actual musics can t overlap this things.
I Love this Version ❤️
Live aid was so great. We need this again.
For Ukraine and Israel.
Do it again For the world peace, for all human made in equal, world environmental sustainable, raise all consciousness of caring, peace, not war, not fighting, and not selfish act..
Love this.. Miami Vice got me here
Great, great song! Teo legends!
Great duet 🙂
Again, why is there no Blu Ray that contains all these performances that weren't included in the DVD set?
My thoughts on this (after trying to collect EVERY bit of Live Aid Footage over the years) is that the trust don't think enough people would buy it. We have to remember that the BBC recorded the Wembley concert on analog 1" video tape (Called D2 I think). This was basically 480p Resolution. The clips the trust upload here , are 1080p (Blu Ray Res,but not BR quality) , but appear to to be rather crudely up scaled to 1080p. Only relatively recently , the Ai Technology has become available to upscale 480p to 1080p with almost no quality loss. Hopefully one day , they will use this new technology to produce a Blu Ray of the whole concert. Or at least put real 1080p footage on line with the 5.1 audio soundtrack we know they have. We all live in hope.
The Live Aid DVD is a travesty! Its all out of order and leaves out alot of amazing performances. I don't know who compiled it, but they did a terrible job. Thank goodness there is so much more footage on youtube!
@@JTRocks4Ever well, it largely had to do with music rights. footage that wasn't good and restored at the time. plus, there were 2 acts who refused to be on the dvd. one of them was led zeppelin and for very good reason.
@@JTRocks4Ever Yeah , the only good thing about it was that it did give us the Vital Wembley performances in DVD quality and 5.1 Audio , which do upscale quite well with the new software. But your right , it was literally "thrown together " with little thought. I hate how they faded our the last 30 secs of U2s set..
@@thevoid99 The Led Zep performance was at JFK , where the video quality was awful compared to Wembley and no 5.1 sound at all..
Long Long Way To Go Thanks Mr Phil and Mr Sting ❤ Gazza and Filistin için 😢 Barış 😢
What a voice 😮
Very powerful song.
Great Performance 💯
Beautiful song. Such great artists fabulous
Amazing song!🎹🎸🎶❤️
The war in Ukraine brought me back here. Slavi Ukraine. This song is still relevant today sadly.
🇺🇦🌻🕊

Great performance by the legends.

Great Brandford Marsalis!!!!!
CAN'T TOUCH THIS!!!
I remember this like it was last week..
Sring is great back vocal on this one
For all the wars going on the world right now!
What a classic Rock teamup!!!
The first time I bought this, if I'm not mistaken, was in 1985.
his solo album, this song shows that "PC had the character of his solo career", different nuances the characters in the group.
Phil collins is a drummer, also a pianist, a song writter (creator),... . So the multi vocals in live aids usa for africa, do they know its xmas time (1980s). It's a good memory.
Sting can make any song brilliant with that voice....
Two absolute stars in their own right.
Duas feras tocando juntos, muito top 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Those voices blend so very well
Thanks for the memories pill. C love your music
Beautiful
LOVE YOU
I know this song because of Miami Vice. Episode called Sons & Lovers.
My baby loves loving
He played this on Miami Vice
38 ears... amazing. Listen till today
Legendary! 💙
🙌It,s good ,impressive!! Very good job, thank you dear guys!! With big greetings from Lithuania!!🙏
The best one👌🏻
First heard this song on Miami Vice
And it's still pertinent to this day
Thank you so much for posting another of the so called "Missing" performances..
💙Two legends!🥰👏
Was that Branford Marsalis on sax? Makes me miss Jay Leno hosting Tonight Show....
VERY NICE 🤩🖤
Sting had time that day
superb
Phil Collins ❤❤❤
Phill Collins e Sting cantando juntos e bom demais pra ser verdade 👋👋💙💙🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Grandes caras da música!!!!
Maravillosos❤❤😊😊
Uauuuuu the voice of Phil is mostly potent of that of Sting and all music of Sting seems to be very influenced by Collins and Genesis compositions
Does anyone notice Long Long Way To Go sounds like Hide and Seek? You can play them from Live Aid bit by bit and compare. They're both in D-, go to vi, vii, i. Then Phil's goes to iii, using vi as its iv. Howard just goes to i maj 3, (vi, iv, v) of i maj 3.
Qué genios que son x favor 😍🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼 😊 X Dios hermosos y toda la gente que hizo esta obra 🙏🏼🙏🏼😻 tan grande los amooooo.💗💓❣️💘💕♥️❤️🌷🔥🍀🔥🍀🍀🔥🙏🏼🙏🏼😘😍🥰
Love him
Oh yes
