This is Sade. 80s would not be complete without this incredible voice and amazing lady.
Amen

Unmistakable voice. You'd recognize it anywhere without even seeing her sing.

The sound of this woman has gotten me through many tough days in this life.

So glad she never let herself be turned into just another pop singer.

I grew up in that era. Artists were able to have integrity in those days, they were treated with respect. Same with Annie Lennox. Even if they were successful artists they could still have a private life and live like normal people.
That would've never happened in the first place she already had so much fame and success because of her authenticity
@@dkncd Authenticity has nothing to do with it. The industry these days is different. The artists are forced to sell out or they get nowhere.
Beauty - no one can control
She’s absolutely timeless.
If it was any more 80s she'd have a mullet.

Welcome
She was born to enlighten our world with her precious velvet voice and beauty!
Very well said ☺️!
@@marccano5061 thank you!
Full class. Doesn't need to get practically naked like so many so called famous singers think they need to, to get rating. Endless talent and dignity ❤
she held that audience in the palm of her hand - you could hear a pin drop - real presence...wow!
Trips me out this is 1985.
While I liked her.
Had never heard this, plus this Live version is INCREDIBLE. Love her

Excuse the typo-error. Thank you. Humanity.❤
Sade Adu is now 65 years old….but she is timeless to me. Her vhs tape used to be my vibe setting music at get togethers back in the day❤
True Class here!!!!! Today’s singers have forgotten the Art of Staying Classy on Stage
This is just plain sick! Her voice could conquer nations! This performance is absolutely superlative 💀
It's a crime that somebody has such a voice and is so beautiful.
LOL - yeah, but at least we can admire greatness when we see it, and enjoy the ride
What a voice, there will never be another voice like my Sade,. She in a class by her self, beautiful and fine
you're right! Her voice to me contains all the sensuality as well as the soul and heart can be found in a woman's voice..
Silky, Silky, Silky!!
Picture this: Live Aid, 1985. The stage was set, and Sade stepped into the spotlight, a beacon of timeless elegance. Relajante😊
So smokey. Just thick, smooth smoke, great tone, timing. Gutsy. I keep coming back to gutsy. A unique talent. Her alto is so deep and cuts to my core. Is it a crime? Yes. Guilty. I’m so guilty. 😊
This is the most beautiful woman I’ve seen. My favorite female artist ever
I'm so glad she shared her beautiful voice with the world.
In the grand tapestry of musical history, envision Live Aid, 1985. Sade, a beacon of timeless elegance, strides onto the stage. Her voice, smooth as silk, resonates through Wembley Stadium, intertwining with the symphony of talent that surrounds her. This isn't just a chapter; it's a resounding anthem confidently etched into the annals of music. Sade and her band, the maestros of that moment, boldly painted the air with notes that transcend time.
Performing for a worthy cause her songs are off the charts ❣️
i want to go back to the 80s. best time of my life
I'll "second" that!!👍👍
She has more class and talent in her little finger than most artists today. We're thankful we have Miss Helen Folasade Adu

You can feel her music in your soul!!!
And your sentence can be returned.. you can feel your soul in her music.. I would even say : you FIND your soul in her (in fact "their") music..

No mobile phones, Heaven!
I was 19 when I watched this live on TV and I’d forgotten what a flawless performance this was. Stunning!
I was 18. Yes, it was. She changed much in me. Still one of my very few favourites in music.
@@AndrzejKam same for me! timeless Goddess.
Same here. I was eleven and couldn't grasp that beauty yet anywhoo...lol. Looking back at it... seen from the year 2024 pov.... It's like with architecture, cars.. we are losing a very important trait we have as a human : to create beauty. She really resembles so much qualities that are fading away, all in one person.
Everyone wants to talk about how great Queen's set was, but don't realize how absolutely flawless her's was 😳🥰
TRUE!!!
Not only is Sade an outstanding performer, but her band is tight, esp the bass player.
This is bad-ass!!! I did not know she performed at Live-Aid!!!!
Me i3ther❤
ME TOO!!!
Это ее дебют на большой сцене
Hi everyone. Will you please vote for Sade DAILY starting NOW through MONDAY, APRIL 15TH so that she gets inducted into this year's 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
No one cares about that joke that is the RRHOF. She's not a rock & roller anyway.
That's not Rock & Roll.
Действительно! А где здесь рок’н’ролл ???
@@carltaylor4942none of the people being inducted at the rrhf can be considered rock lately… Dolly Parton? Ice cube??
@@x3a3x3 - Exactly. As for Sade, what's that? Smooth jazz? Elevator music?
Sade has a voice that is so smooth ,it is lights out sensitive, almost intoxicating. Forever in love with the sound of smooth jazz.
This is her best song of all time. So smooth, passionate and sexy and the sax just kills it.
I would say this is THE best song of all time..!
That's debatable. I've always been partial to Smooth Operator.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH that's a good one too. Matthewman sax kills it on both songs... ❤️❤️❤️
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH Sorry but there's no comparison possible ! smooth operator is a killer song of course with a fucking groove and a part of nostalgia which makes it a sort of drug but "is it a crime " by.its length, intensity changes, the importance of every instruments (sax, horns, bass, keybords, ) and the way they melt with her voice that contains SO much feeling, with all those breaks in the song , make it an unexampled masterpiece, which to me make it much much better and overwhelming than any other..
@@sebasdebordeaux8347 this and Jezebel are two of the richest songs they did, Stewart’s sax and Sade’s voice drive both songs to great heights 💜💗💃🏻🎷
My wife and saw one of her first us shows when she first hit the scene and this band is phenomenal and she ranks in the superstar category for sure.
Her voice is smooth, rich and earthy. I’ve been a fan for four decades. Once heard never forgotten. Sade.
Exactly.
Абсолютно согласна. Завтра мне 52 и я люблю её с 17-ти лет. И очень хочу машину времени❤❤❤
Im born in 85 and Sade Records were on heavy rotation in my home, what an Icon.
Another 1985 baby reporting in, my dad loved Sade, i grew up listening to her, what a beautiful voice, and a beautiful woman!
I’m truly captivated by how beautiful she is here. No Botox, no lip fillers just raw natural beauty. Her voice is like silk
She was, and still is, utterly breathtaking. The personification of grace, beauty, talent and elegance.
@@pauledmonds3249 well Said 🙆 🇬🇧 ❤
She was in her 20's here. No need for cosmetic surgery
nothing wrong with botox and lip fillers it's whatever makes you happy
It’s a pity (for me) that just about every single song is about romance which is something I just can’t relate to.
The real deal.. no replacement for this... absolutely once in a lifetime talent 😊
С конца 80-х и по сей день влюблена в творчество Шаде.
❤Untouchable.Sade is in a class by herself.
The Queen of coolness - stunningly beautiful and a fantastic vocalist.
Sade has more class in her handkerchief than today's 'artists', and a million times more talent.
Seriously? Have you heard Justin Bieber's "Ooh, baby, baby! Ooh, baby, baby, baby!!"? A timeless classic to transcend the ages.

her last," is it a crime," gives me chills down my spine
She’s so cool and the sax is insane
What a gem, what an absolute gem. The powerful vocal, musicians enjoying the moment, the dynamics, the sax solo, the interlaced picture. A window into the past.
Fantastische Musiker, fantastische SADE ❤ traumhafte Stimme 😊
Love all the instruments sounds so full, like Earth, Wind and Fire.
Yes, as incredible as she is, the band is every bit as incredible. They are one of the best live experiences I have ever seen.
Sade exemplifies the word "exquisite".
Мне 1 год был. Какой голос великолепный. Как и та ушедшая эпоха. Всем желаю благопалучия не унывать, быть жизнерадосными. Привет всем из России !
She's so BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED !! 🥰❤️❤️
Loving her since 1984. Shit, I am getting old and I never get tired of Sade. What a talent and beauty.
Исполнение,вокал,высочайшей пробы,здесь даже добавить нечего,браво!
Meine Güte. Was für eine Stimme. ❤
Everyone still talks about Queen and Bono at Live Aid, but I think Sade, Duran Duran and Ultravox were the highlights of this amazing event!
Ultravox!!!! One of my favorites from my youth. Midge Ure has such an amazing voice.
Agreed. Especially U-Vox !
@@brentwalker3300 I just bumped into Midge Ure a few weeks ago, in Germany.
Actually not himself, but I stayed at the same hotel. As I went to my car, I had a chat with his bus driver, who showed me the lower deck of the tour bus. Not super interesting, but as you mentioned him, I thought I could tell my little story here.
Madonna was great, too...
@@spaceengineer1452 Madonna gets no love. Maybe JFK was more open, woukd have had closed in Wembley rocking.
Lady that’s responsible for more babies born in late 80-90s than any other 😅
And later the listening of Sade make babies stop to cry and have a nap ❤
It's mindboggling that this was sung live. You could reliease this delivery as a studio album.
Какая же она стильная и органичная! Красота во всём: во взгляде, в голосе и в образе!
Still beautiful 40 years later
Nigeria should be proud of an export that is a creation of talent combined with beauty.
Sade was amazing here, in her prime a stellar performance.
How little did we know at that time that she would become the most uniquely soulful artist to grace music world. 🎉
Pure elegance and class
My god her voice and beauty together are totally mesmerizing. ⚘️
Pure class just dusky and warm and I couldn't give a flying how beautiful she is.
it's amazing how classic and timeless her whole outfit and hair is, this could be a look from today, too..
Geez the sound on this recording is fabulous. Sounds just like the LP.
She's incredible! This is the kind of performance I expect if I would go to any live show, where it's clean and beautiful.
Shes on my bucket list
@@bobfruge7233she only comes around Live every ten years or so. It’s been 12 years waiting so far this time around. It’ll be a miracle if she comes our way again. Holding out hope. 🔥
she is so adorable and I love her voice so much
Wow. They sound like they're in a studio. I was just a little kid, but I remember the world when this music was hot. Proper saxophone. She's incredible. The band is, too.
I remember taping this off the TV because of how gorgeous she looked. I was a teenage boy, what can I say? Still love her.
She's undisputedly the queen of jazz
Sade isn’t Jazz music though. She’s R&B and Soul predominantly. I mean sure there’s jazz influences here and there but she isn’t a jazz artist. A modern jazz song would sound something like Amy Winehouse’s album Frank. Besides, Ella Fitzgerald is the undisputed queen of jazz.
Huh?
@@BozeDoesGodsWorkhave to agree
Nina Simone as well
i had no idea sade sang at live aid, this is so cool aaa
Incredible talent & beauty! But also LOVE how classy she & her band look. Truly one of a kind!
Sade’s music is the equivalent of a hot bath melting your worries away.
I’m 43 and have been in love with Ms. Sade Adu since the first time I heard her voice. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Не можу перестати слухати,це неймовірно❤
I lived in West Los Angeles (off Santa Monica Blvd) in the mid-late 1980's (best time, ever, to be there), and Sade's gorgeous tones filled the air(waves) courtesy of one incredible "smooth jazz" FM radio (no satellite XM bullshit) station, KUTE, that -- sadly -- "signed-off" for the last time all-too-soon. Hardly a day went by -- much less an hour -- that KUTE didn't broadcast her incredible music into the balmy breezes off Southern California's coast.
The best decade and musical pop talents in the history of this planet.
I've loved the song for a long time, but I just tripped over this performance. Amazing. Completely brilliant!
real music, real talent, real beauty
A Natural Beauty and A true Artist ❤
She sounds awesome live. Her band too.
We All would love to see her at the Grammys or some massive public concert!
Am 13.7.1985 hatte ich meinen 15. Geburstag. Ich bin jetzt bald 54. Ich kann mich noch genau an dieses Konzett erinnern. Besonders an Sade. Sie hat mich damals gekillt. Großartige Sängerin.
Whenever I hear Sade sing I always remember the first time when she'd just released Smooth Operator her voice was perfect for that song, and she's never sung a song wasn't perfect for her unique voice.
All these great old tunes are still fantastic today. Real music is timeless.
one of the most beautiful singers ever in history and amazing talent. There will be only one Sade in history. Period
