That's because she preserved her voice. She and her band can be called as the most successful band ever. As they can take long hiatus and easily sold out all the tickets whenever they feel like they want to do a live show. Most artist didn't have luck like her, their producer is forcing them to work like horse and milk them alive.
Sade is like a fine wine. It keeps getting better with age. And the band is so good live because it is the same one she records with! It just doesn't get any better!

The tightness of the band, the intoxicating groove, and the perfection of Sade's technical and emotional vocals still gives me goose bumps after all these years. Amazing class and musicianship. No army of dancers, no gimmicks, no auto-tune - just incredible music played and sung with precision and feeling by true artists. I don't hear much of that in the music of the last 20 years...
It's best to stick with the oldies! You might go insane with the recent trends!

It really is insane how consistent both Sade herself and the band are. There are times you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re miming, often the only deviation from the studio versions are intentional ones, flourishes added and whatnot. And of course her voice now has a subtly richer, warmer resonance with age. I hope they tour again so I get to see them live in my lifetime!
She is a complete one off. Never heard anybody sing like her. Unique artist.

Sade has always been an act of elegance, beauty, and grace, with a voice and songs that make me think of a smooth, fine whisky that caresses and warms without being crass. I was one of those guys who just loved her music, voice, and style back in the 80s. Thank you, Sade, for being what so many "performers" are not.
