So many people are "hurt" by seeing Phil look like this, but he is getting older as are we, BUT HE SOUNDS BETTER AT THIS AGE AND DECLINING HEALTH THAN 90% OF THE ARTISTS TODAY! Do NOT look at this as a negative, but as we should aspire to be as we age. PHIL SOUNDS GOOOD!!!
Totally agree. Reading the comments reminds me of the comments people write about Madonna. Ageism exists and these comments reflect it in full force. This guy is a legend and quite frankly as long as he is enjoying it and still has an audience, why should age matter? Alanis Morrisett also released some kick ass covid home concerts and reading the comments, it's like people thought that in 2020 she would still be an 18 year old artist frozen in time. People age and their artistry (like good wine) ages with them.

Lovely sentiment, Phil's music has been the soundtrack of much of my life but I have to disagree. Not a patch on his former self, would have preferred it left to DVDs and memories rather than seeing/hearing him like this.

Growing up listening to Genesis was a privilege. Kids today don’t have the beautiful music we had. That man’s voice is a national treasure.

Cara, eu chorei de ver o Phill tão debilitado, mas meu choro mesmo é de medo que as músicas desse cara se percam, pq infelizmente os jovens de hoje gostam de Funk e outras coisas ai que não tem emoção nas letras, pura baixaria infelizmente, e o pior é ver que tanta gente gosta. @Eddie Trincas but the issue is that he looks 89, even tough he isn't even 70. He aged so poorly compared to say the guys in the rolling stones, who are pushing 80, and are in a much better physical shape.

His bass player looks the same as he did in '85.
Phil has nerve damage and in order to play he needs the drum sticks taped to the hands and the sitting is in part diabetic issues. But with all that he’s one of the very best!

No sé si soy el único pero se me parte el corazón al ver a Phil Collins así, ya parece el abuelo al que dejaron abandonado en el asilo, y si bien todos llegamos a esa edad igual es triste ver a alguien con el que te criaste en su música sin poder estar mucho tiempo de pie ni potencia en su voz.

I grew up watching this man and listening to him from my dad's hi-fi. They were both titans. Now my dad is old and so is this iconic singer. Yo no digo que se meta en un asilo y se abandone, él puede seguir siendo un gran compositor, arreglista, músico y colaborador... Pero dar conciertos, cuando salta a la vista que ya la voz de antes, ni la fuerza lo acompañan me parece a mí, que en vez de darle notoriedad lo opaca.

@@hadamagica2267 claro amiga, pero si te fijas bien yo no he dicho que lo encierren en un ancianato, o que se esconda, ni estoy dudando de su talento como músico, eso es indiscutible. Hay personas de la edad de Phill Collins que siguen cantando y haciendo show en vivo pero no han perdido cualidades físicas ni vocales como, lamentablemente, si le ha pasado a Phill. Estoy muy seguro que el tiene mucho más para dar como compositor, músico, empresario, pero para conciertos en vivo lamentablemente ya no. Saludos
