This songs brings tears to my eyes. Reminds me when I was homeless and addicted to drugs and I'd walk the streets thinking no one cared. Been clean and sober nearly 17 years now and this songs still takes me back to a dark place 😔

I remember this video as a child, lone before I ever became homeless myself, and it moved me even then. Then as an adult I spent over 9 1/2 years living with no home, on streets and in shelters, had to beg at times, freezing at times because Im in a cold area of the US. It took ten years and disability diagnosis, almost dying, being raped sleeping in a park, before I finally found anyone to help and life's not perfect now but at least I have an Apt and some money and am safe.
Thank you for sharing what sounds like a very difficult time in your life! I am very glad to see that things have since improved for you and I hope and pray they only continue to do so.

Sadly there are still people who use the get a job mantra on them. People who justify "some people are just better" as a reason to vilify the poor. Wealth inequality is crazy in this age. Remember which do you choose Economy serving humanity or Humanity serving the economy. The thing I appreciate about Phil Collins is he never backs down on his integrity unlike U2 (great in the 80s on issues but now the heart of soulless corporations like Apple or the head of a system that defends the rich who are selfish).

Simply legendary this song is impossible not to listen to again and again, and I'm from the new generation but I must say it is a work of art, hopefully they continue to release music like this and not like what is out there now in 2024.
