      The lack of knowledge of historical origin of these traditional cuisines is the problem which prompts people always to heap accolades on one particular majority tribe in the country which invariantly is rather disheartening and imprecise at best.

    Yummy 😋. Im married to a Gambian and I must say the dish is also one of the popular street Gambian appetiser dish called Ebbeh. Cassava is used in place of coco yam to the Gambia recipe. Tamarind too is added to give it a sour taste or lime juice as a replacement for Tamarind. Thanks for sharing.

      @globalcetzen5271 Před 2 lety

      @Khadija Jefang...Very interesting, I'll like to try the Gambian version...Tamarind has a way of cleansing the palate so I can actually agree with the Ebbe being served as an appetizer.

    #Orekordo... We eat this pottage in the Volta too especially along the river in Tefle/Sogakope.Sokpe/Adidome area... We cook it with dry-smoked oysters/clams called Adorde or Afani... 😋😋😋Nigerians eat it too...they use Yam and add Red oil to the pottage...
    💃🏾💃🏾"...Edina brenya brenya eeeeeeee ayeeeeee obi anmaooo edina brenya eeeeeeee ayee ayeeeee..."💃🏾This is my favourite Fante Asafo song ....I actually danced to the entire music....💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
    Religious people say that the Red West Afrikan coco yam/yam potage/porridge is the very food that Jacob gave to his brother Esau, in exchange for his birthright. Many cultural anthropologists have proven this to be very true; stating that the Old Testament is mainly a theological interpretation of Afrikan traditions and culture. #FoodIsCulture...TFS.
