Give your bike a quick ride before this to warm up your tires (specifically the front for grip.) You can stand up, the reason the bike would move is if you're sitting normally, because weight on the back tire makes it grip and catch traction. You can dump the clutch, slowly letting out the clutch just burns your shit up a bit, and the Ninja 400's stock clutch setup isn't even made by Kawasaki, which is why it's so shitty. If you burn your clutch, get an aftermarket replacement! Happened to me, a friend, and someone I know from work around 2-3000 miles. The stock is just ass.
