  • Join me as I attempt to learn how to do a Burnout on my 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400!
    Hey guys, I'm Kwackajack and thanks for joining along for another video. Today we are out in the Gold Coast Hinterland, as far away from anyone as possible, to try and learn how to do a burnout on my motorcycle. I've never really been a fan of this sort of stuff but I figured why not give it a go.

    tip for anyone wanting to learn to do a burnout, pick your butt up off the bike, less weight on the back tire means less grip

    I opened up CZcams, I saw your video, I clicked it. And as always, it's always entertaining to watch, plus I gained a lot more info about biking. I also love seeing the nature on your videos. Hiking and camping would be awesome there.

    I want to try this when Its time to get a new set but I’m scared because every single time ive stalled the bike (except once) I drop it because I am quite short and lose my balance easily. The initials jerk causes me to shift and be unable to react quickly and pull in the clutch since I’m tippy toeing it anyway. So I’m scared of damaging my baby. Going to have to wait until I have my ZX-6 to experiment with my 400

    Since it was your first burnout it was pretty cool to start out in the dirt but you should have really layed on the throttle, and kept the tire spinning real fast as you ease up to the asphalt. This would have caused a nice smoky burnout rather than a dust cloud.
    One of the main reasons I bought a sport bike was to do burnouts, as well as the need for speed. I did burnouts the day I bought it. I'm not a crazy maniac like some of these sport bike riders but if I think I need to show off in front of somebody I'll do a nice big old smokey. There's nothing like being head-to-head with another sport bike rider at a red light and challenging them to do a burnout until the light turns green.

    Hey Jack! I was surprised to see this video! Lol! :) I understand the eagerness to experiment. It was a good try. Just a friendly suggestion on safety, try not to point the bike towards the road when you try something new. I know you used the soft sand by the side for favourable traction. And you're in control. But, still just be safe.
    There were some instances where you succeeded, if you run it in slow motion it is going to look cool. Cheers! :)

      @Kwackajack  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for the feedback mate! Yea I used the softer gravel to try get a bit more spin without wrecking the tyres too much. Not really any traffic out there so no cars to worry about thankfully. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

    Try do it in a parking lot for exemple. Those small stones affect your front tire grip and might puncture your rear tire.

    Had a question for you Jack, why choose the Ninja 400 over the competitors like the Yamaha R3?

    • @Kwackajack
      @Kwackajack  Před 3 lety +3

      Ninja is pretty much best in class. Only other competitor who would maybe compete would be cbr500, but even then I believe they have a limiter on them for beginners whereas the 400 doesn’t. I can address this in another video if you like

    I think the reason why you can't stay in one place is because the ninja 400 doesn't have as strong brakes as a bigger motorcycle. I might be wrong tho.

      @Kwackajack  Před 3 lety

      You could be right on that one, I think it's also got a LOT to do with the fact I don't really know what I'm doing haha.
