The little inline screamer from Kawasaki that we’ve been waiting to see for years that is garnering a whole lot of hype, the Ninja ZX4R. Up against the sleek new mid range super sport from Yamaha that’s become a favourite in the class, the YZF-R7.
If you want a track oriented, modern and sleek little super sport that could also be a terrific all rounder, it would be impossible to ignore these two titans of the motorcycling world. So today it’s team Green Vs Blue going up against each other with their latest sporty offerings and while they both have the same overall goal, be just as good on track as they are on regular roads, they do go about it in two very different ways. So we’re going to dive into a detailed specs comparison so we can find out exactly which one comes out on top.

Then introduce the "new" 600RR at practically twice the cost of the previous generation. Basically they practically have nothing to offer the average consumer with a full licence in both their Sports or Streets range. The Hornet only being a very recent exception. As such I'm going team Green for the ZX6R. Waiting for the 6th of June as to whether they'll release an updated version.

I would go with the R7 if you want more power. The ZX-4R is going to feel the same because it is still the same displacement. To get more power it just has a higher red redline. So unless she just likes going full throttle without speeding it would be good. Horse power isn't the number you need to look at. It basically shows it's max speed. Torque shows how much work the bike can do at any given RPM and torque is what pulls you back in the seat when you take off. The higher your torque compared to your weight the faster you are off the line and the more powerful your bike actually feels.

I feel like the zx4r is best compared to something like a duke 390. These bikes are two entirely different machines.

Still buy the zx4rr rather than that boring inline 2 too boring.

Such a waste on the Kawasaki to have all those stupid rider aids on a bike with 70 wheel horsepower. Just gimmicky bullshit. They should’ve put that money in suspension instead.

Man I wish kawasakis weren’t so damn ugly, can’t stand that green+red. The performance is really nice on them

First of all. It’s still not an R7. Maybe 7.5 but when you say R7. I will and forcefully think of the Halo bike. Period. Maybe noobs to 2 wheels will not understand. But anyone who knows the history of the 3 tuners. Knows. That was an R7. This is shit next to an R7.
It just sucks cause now when I’m looking for the Halo bike. I have to see this nonsense. Don’t get me wrong. I love that Yammie did another type of bike. But let’s me honest. They new they would get shit for it. Which would I prefer out of the two in video. Neither. I’d rather a 600 or more. 400’s where cool when sport bikes where a thing. But as the 600 generation is coming to a close like the 400’s did. I think most are smarter to grab a 600 while you still can. Aside from new or used market. As I don’t see them coming back. At least it’ll be like the 400 class. Another decade before we see a 600 on the market.

Please don’t confuse what Yamaha now calls an r7 vs an actual Yamaha R7 with an inline 4 cylinder not a crappy twin cylinder engine
