Beautiful. I remember when my father was still alive, we sing this song in duet, ala Everly Brothers. Thanks for this music gem. All the best, Daniel.
that's really great that you could sing duets with your father
simply beautiful 💕

As always.........
thanks for the listen (and comment)
Good evening Daniel,
Just before midnight here and this just premiered.
A lovely tune to send me off to bed so thanks for posting.
I spent the day down by the coast celebrating two of my friends who have just had their 80th birthdays. Plenty of good food, the restaurant specialises in seafood, plenty of good wine, (we specialise in consuming it!) and great company.
Warming up nicely now spring has arrived.
Keep Safe and Keep playing.
Clive
sounds like a good reason to celebrate!

What a lovely cover!

Hi Dan! I find myself wondering if you would play the finnish 'Sylvia's Christmas Song' by Karl Collan. It is cited as the most beautiful christmas song in scandinavia but it has a feeling of fantasy game music. I have a feeling that it would sound simply perfect played by you
Thanks! I'll take a look
ooh, didn't know it was originally a French song. wonder if the phrase "if you must cling to someone" (which I always found weird) is also in the original...
wow, no. it's a totally different song. from Google Translate:
Like clay
The fragile insect
The docile slave
I belong to you
With all my being
You are the only master
I must submit
I belong to you
If you condemn
Throwing away my soul
In the depths of the flames
I can't do anything
If you condemn
If you damn me
Here is my soul
Here are my hands
With the sorrows
love and hate
Running through my veins
I belong to you
What can I do
To satisfy you
Patron of the earth
On my way
Like the angels
Sing your praises
But I'm not an angel
You know it well
I am only a man
Just a poor man
I like you
Like a friend
Often I think
That in your immense
Palace of Silence
You must be good
Sometimes I think
That in your immense
Palace of Silence
We must be good
yes, a totally different lyric thanks for the listen!
