Hey Matt, in the past I have heard you call your self an amateur, please refrain from saying that as you are far from it, you can't get more professional than this. Love your work
I agree!
Noone would pay him enough money for the time it takes to do the job - as a professional.
You may have set a world record for most number of dominoes used in one kitchen. Enjoy your work and can't wait to see it finally finished.
My Saturday morning woodworking show! The Norm Abram of this time. đ
Thanks Toby!
I used to work as a designer for a custom bath and kitchen company many years ago and I must say Matthew that your layout and attention to detail for your vision is most heartening. Thank you for sharing your most excellent content.
31:59 Iâve never met Matt, but I want to be more like him. His reaction to blowing through the face frame with dominoes is 100x better than mine would be. Such a talented woodworker and all-around good guy
It's experience. Problems happen and the inexperience freak out about it and the experienced know that it's not a big deal to fix. It's just an annoyance.
@@MAGAMAN Well Said!
The older and more experienced you get... The less of a reaction occurs. Getting mad about something like that doesn't help anything! Instead it hurts the progress and can cause future mistakes! Best thing you can do if it make you super mad is to walk away and come back 30-45 minutes later.
The most I have ever been able to personally relate to Matt is when he was rough sawing that board with a jigsaw while it was precariously balanced on a shop vac đ
Good Morning Cremona Family.
Itâs nice to see that even with all the fancy tools and workbenches, you still use a shop vac as a sawhorse in a pinch like the rest of us đ
No project is perfect. Your "fix" of the too-long biscuits was no big deal, as you pointed out. Great work, as always.
The architectural drawings that you have are really quite beautiful. A page could be framed and hung as a unique piece of art in the house after you are done using them.
My dad and my husband would have so enjoyed seeing your work. Dad's speciality was cabinets. He was as careful as you are putting them together. I was privileged to be his assistant when I wasn't in school.
Wow, itâs all really coming together now. Looking great đ
It is always a joy to see your craftmanship at work while hearing you casually comment on what you are doing. Very Inspiring ! đ
Looking good. I see that paint sprayer! đȘđ
Your painter bears a remarkable resemblance to you.
Looking good matt doing a great job and yes I'm jealous of your skills
Matt, Nooo it canât be trueâŠ.Cabinet boxes and face frames all done? Wow, Iâm sure youâre glad to complete that portion. They look Fantastic and I know Lindsay loves them. Congradulations!
Good video and seeing it in full vs. Instagram segments with commentary is great. Having been through it before doesn't make it mindless, just less stressful? LOL!
Beautiful, as always. I really like those countertops, too!
Love your work, thank you for sharing.
I enjoy watching this series and think the attention to detail and craftsmanship is inspiring.
Then i see Matt cutting a piece of wood with a jigsaw balanced on a shop vac and it all goes away.
Although I am sympathetic with having a shop with no available vertical surfaces. Maybe one of those Bora Centipede expanding tables might be helpful. After all, Matt already has everything else!
Nice to Matt plugging away and steadily moving to the finish line.
Got your attention; working as intended đ
Love the content. The build is time consuming when you build every cabinet.
This is shaping up to be a beautiful space, masterfully done.
I have used a fixed middle shelf to help hold the position of the uprights when using an open bottom on a cabinet like that.
Very creative when you used the top of your shop vac as a saw horse. đđđ
Itâs simply beautiful. Great work
Your kitchen is going to be so beautiful !! I can't wait til it's finished !!! I'll see You on the next one.I LOVE YOU ALL !!! đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°
Beautiful. Gonna be one heck of a nice kitchen.
Ishitani, Bradshaw Joinery, New Hampshire Workshop and Matthew Cremona - all worth following due to their craftmanship
Wow what a beautiful job.
My Lord, do you ever fell overwhelmed Matt. Nice work, as per usual.
I don't know what to say. you're awesome.
Matt not being a person that make or builds I find your work amazing in the fine details you do I grew up in the days of craftsmanship where people took pride in in their craft we donât get a lot of this in this time I have a friend that has the same love of turning wood into a thing of beauty thanks
I like the stone on the island
It all looks beautiful! It looks simple, yet thhere was a ton of work behind it. I love the style. I call it 'country elegant.'
The progress is really starting to show and looking finished and nice. All the little fine details getting done is slow work but make it nice.
Great job I enjoy the total presentation with more info than the shorts. Just a personal opinion. Thanks again.
I absolutely love the invisible hinges! The original craftsman of my circa 1940's cupboard used them for all of the doors since they a flush fit. But, since all of the mortis were cut by hand... They have a little more slop than Matt's 0.5 mm for his! đ€Ł
As always thanks for the morning coffee and Matt
Matt your work is awesome a true old school Master craftsman.
Love that quiet blue-gray in the pantry cabinets.
Very nice work and thanks for sharing
You sure do a good job
Beautiful!
Absolutely first class.
Love watching your process! Great build!
Hallo Matt, das verdeckte Scharnier war mir neu, aber es gefĂ€llt mir gut. Gute Idee fĂŒr Deine KabelfĂŒhrung.....
They are called Invisible hinges. The person who built my cupboard in the 1940's used the same type of hinges for all the doors, but sadly... Most of them have been broken and need to be replaced. They cost about $10 each and I need 12. All of the mortis cuts were done by hand and have a lot more gap than Matt's 0.5 mm of slop đ€Ł
Great job! Looks like a dream kitchen.
I wonder if Triton are regretting dropping sponsorship...
Theyâre getting free placement now đ€·ââïžđ
@@mcremona :)
Matt, you are The Dominotor! Great work!
The details in those plans for cabinets! Thats pretty crazy!
Awesome work Matt! Loved your saw horse when roughing out- lol
You sell workbenches and cut the wood over the vacuum cleaner †đ
Part 80- sounds about right!?!? Great job as always Mr. Cremona!
Looks soooooooooo good!!!â€â€â€â€â€
Impressive cabinetry and fitment.
Gorgeous !
This is expert level stuff.
Hi from Oz!
Hi Matt looking great regards from Liverpool England
Awesome work Matt! đđđŒđđŒ
Outstanding. Looks great so far, Matt. Looking forward to the final cabinet episode and to see what the kitchen looks like.
Nice work I bet you're getting "ancie" to finish this up- take your time it's the little details that make the job!
So exciting
lol, 4:43 bigger shop + a huge barn...and you're using a shopvac as a saw horse. he's one of us!
Nice as always
Awesome work as always MC! đđ»
Very niceâ€
You seemed pretty calm about the face frame blow out, but im guessing the first time you were wiping down the countertops right before bed after a long day and you smashed a finger into those butt hinges you'd probably be able to hear your reaction from at least two states away. Just watching and listening to you go through your thought process on those I could feel the pain. Good call on those concealed hinges!
Hey Mattđ. Great work...

Matt Cremona;slowly turning into a Sicilian gorilla.đ
Tame that mop dude!
RINGO sez-âïžâ€
Or you can grow it out for that FRANK ZAPPA look!
Your painter looks very familiar lol
The hutch looks great (nice that you were able to repair that domino blowout on the face-frame...I thought you might have to replace that piece).
Thatâs the only nice thing about it being a painted piece
I figure between 2 & 5. Thousand dominoes! Not really, I know its a bunch. My goodness Matt, that is certainly looking good! My niece has just finished building a house. I went in & looked at cabinetry, "hand made" on site, & was like OMG ! Nowhere close to your finesse! BTW, have you ever considered selling your shavings? Gardeners would love them.
WOW
All of your tools and benches, barn and shop and you still use a vacuum as a quick sawhorse. lol. Just like us mere mortals.
Beautiful work Matt. Where are you going to park the scooter to get around that massive kitchen?
You inspire me to do better woodworking. Fantastic video. One question, what was used to prefinish the 3/4 maple plywood? I am making a cabinet for my wife's craft room and I have the same plywood but not finished. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
How did you determine that 3/4â was the offset you needed for the scribe? Thatâs what confuses me. The 3/4 was evidently perfect because when done and you shifted the stile to the permanent location the inside edge was exactly where you needed it to be even though the scribe width by itâs nature varies along the edge.
being your waste collector must get full often...do you use the contents as a mulch for the gardens? Since you use untreated wood, this would be excellent for your gardens to assist the macro and micro organisms which help with your soil structure and health.
I dump it in the woods
I would recommend cutting the cable tray cover into three pieces. Otherwise when you lift it to plug in a new device the wires at the other end are likely to move out of position and make it annoying to use.
Weâll see how it is in practice but the intention is the device goes in the box to charge
Every time I see you painting with the gun I think about how much I hate to clean it after I've sprayed. Does having to clean the sprayer bother you, or does it eventually stop being an annoyance?
Did Matt ever do wooden toy blocks? Can't seem to find a video on it.
I keep wondering about the charging station:
âą Isn't there a heat concern with charging electronics buried inside an unventilated area? (maybe also fire concerns when it's wood?)
âą The plugmold spacing (I guess on IG but not in this video) of 6" centers sure seems sparseâŠit's easy to imagine wanting many more outlets. Are you actually using Plugmold? (Looks like Legrande has some non-Plugmold products that are a bit tighter, e.g. "adorne under-cabinet" with duplex modules on 6" spacings, so effective 3", or their "CabinetMate" that comes as tight as 1 1/4" center-to-center. But Plugmold and adorne have USB options⊠although not sure what you do for USB CâŠ
Curious what product you're going to pick to solve these issues!
â€â€â€â€â€
â€
For us less experienced woodworkers, could you explain the fix for the dominos through the faceframe? It looked like you filled the holes with epoxy, sanded and painted to fix the problem. Is that correct?
Correct
Can't fault the craftsmanship, have you thought about the door swinging into entrance and rather than having 3 hinged doors having one lift-up panel to access 3 cabinets?
đđđđđđđđ
Hi Matt
Will woods like cherry blotch after applying a hard wax oil finish?
Why were you putting what looked like some sort of wax on the screws that you were putting into the hinges?
That guy in the paint shop looks just like you. Do you have a twin?
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Cabinets are fun to make, but it does get repetitive.
đđ»
Off the top of my head here in Northern California ( Sacramento Area) I would hv charged 45 Gâs pushing 50gâs for that kitchen? And if you would hv balked I would hv walked! You hv a bespoke kitchen difficult to make & haul around plus install ( time frame 4-6 months since w/ this jobs I hv others going).
Donât sell yourself short ? W/ your tools ( I hv bout 50-75 Gâs in tools) and skills you are not an average DIY guy). Really nice job Matt ! Tell Donavan â Howdyâ !
I think youâd lose money with that bid đ
@@mcremona well your probably right I forgot or I am certain left out a lot ! Including I do not know the size!
Very custom ; actually I hv really only seen such detail in other Contractors homes ! (I hv a custom home & I am a contractor but honestly my kitchen needs a remodel).
I honestly loose jobs because of time? Lost one yesterday ? I told the GC two months for 2 big vanities , a big built in , and building a cabinet into the M/B wall for storage (wall needs to be reframed). All FF Hard Maple , and pre-finished maple. He gasped âtwo monthsâ! So I am very glad I hv other income otherwise I would hv had to take that job & wrk 7 days a week!
Anyway I enjoy your channel Matt! And âDashingâ Donavan occasional appearance !
I heard Lindsey gave the painter a raise, but not the cabinet maker. Thats not right. đ Just because of one mistake.
I still don't understand the window in the pantry. Are you going to sell tour tickets of the kitchen?
it is there for a safe room for claustrophobia impaired and is where the prepper food will be. The general pooulation of Cremonans have also wondered, now they will surely be satisfied, I am sure, kinda, maybe..............????? I think there will be a future episode and the reveal of many projects. A Fine Detailed Craftsmann Overhead Gate Sign " Cremonia". An array of woodsy elements leading to the barn to make it not just a blasse path to get there routinely every day, I cannot see why he has not found the time to build a lighting & rail system yet. I bet he does not have a comm center out in the far corner either? All those skills and talent just wasted on us, posting videos to make us happy, what a guy.
For crying out loud pocket hole those face frames! đ
Not rigid enough. The paint cracks and shows the seam
@@mcremona Interesting. Iâve glued and pocket holed frames for 20 years and never had that problem. Maybe I have domino envy. đđ»
What happens when the cabinet doors bind against the countertop?
Blame the cabinet guy who built a door that sags
