So wait, all of that is 50k? Like the cabinets, trim, doors, etc. ? And it all comes as a kit from this site?
God Bless you & your family! The values you taught those children is beautiful!❤ Not many children, these days, can say they helped build their home! I am so very proud of all of them. I know how hard this was. We did the same with my dad! Ours had a basement as well. I learned how to lay cinder block! We built our home, barn & milking parlor. Set cedar post (by hand) on 12 acres.
My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer before all this began, so he was having Chemo & Radiation throughout the building. He was a tough, strong willed man like yourself. You should be very proud. I smile & cried with pride for you. Greetings from North Carolina!
Great parenting had occurred long before the house build. These young people know how to receive and follow instruction! They are calm and focused.
Yeah I see you didn't get an answer. I want to know if the concrete was included in that price too.@@tobesegula9834

My beloved father passed away in March of this year. He taught me everything just by using me as his helper. I’m set for life I can do it all from carpentry to mechanic work. These kids are so lucky. Someday they will understand just how much. God bless.
I'm very sorry for your loss. My dad passed years ago and I miss him very much. I know what you're going through.
Same here, my father taught me well, I can always find work if I need it, but I never need it.
Same here! I was my dads helper and I PRAISE the LORD everyday for me having the best dad in the world and showing me skills that will last a lifetime. :)
my dad taught me and my brothers too. he is still with us but i appreciate the time we spent together more than the stuff i learned
Amen to that! A dad that tries to teach his kids what he knows and skills that will truly help them is priceless! 👏
Forget the house, Sir great job with raising your children with morals, woek ethic and values. Great job Dad
no such thing as a 1000% but I agree with you a 1000%.
They put up some walls. What does morals have to do with it?
@@MrSteeDooDid you not watch the whole video?? Way more than you have done… is that why you are being rude? Why else would anyone insult another’s work.
@@MrSteeDoo fair question.... One can imply based on the actions of the father he has installed a great moral foundation in his kids. If you can't relate to that or understand, I can respect that. Any father who spends that type of time with his children wants nothing but the best for them. I know this to be a fact because one I didn't have a father and two I am a father who raised four out of five and I did it the right way. Still raising one...
@@MrSteeDooif you have to ask, there’s no point in explaining it to you. Some things aren’t meant for all of us to comprehend. Don’t forget to say happy Mother’s Day to both of your moms.
You got a house for $50,000 and your kids received an education that is priceless!
You didn’t only build a house. You built so much confidence, resilience, and self-sufficiency into your children. Not to mention the family bonding, along with the memories that you’ll all talk about for the rest of your lives. Bravo!!!
i cant get my kids to help mow the lawn, this man has his kids building a house!!! GREAT WORK DAD!!!
your fault!
@@kululvthat’s not nice.
@@rockinrobin1007but it’s partly true. Usually the way parents ask for help they word it so that helping is an option but then get mad when the kid turns down the work. They ask instead of telling lol which I’m not sure how you could reinforce an older kid to do something if they’ve never been told to do anything and never had consequences for not doing it, it needs to start at toddler age
@@rockinrobin1007also it wouldn’t help to yell at a teen that if they don’t mow the lawn immediately they’ll lose the internet I think I’d have preferred a calm conversation in the morning of you need to mow the lawn today and if you havnt started by 6 pm you’ll loose internet privileges until it is done and that needs to be followed thru
@@rockinrobin1007 but also it’s important to understand if the parent starts yelling the kid has every right to return the yelling, it felt to me like my mom couldn’t hear me unless I was yelling usually she reacted negatively but she was actually listening at that point 😂 so it didn’t matter if it was negative or positive
If we had more dad's like this, the world would be a better place.
This isn't even remotely true. If people stop raising spoiled children that think the world revolves around them and that they are rewarded no matter how poorly they are conducting themselves and their lives the world would be a better place.
THIS is why children NEED a hands on father in their lives.
Dad has just been awarded FATHER OF THE DECADE...
no kids don't need a hands on father in their life in order to become something. Their mother could be just as hands on and know everything about carpentry, engineering and building as well.
Dad of the century for me!
Nobody wearing hearing protection. starting that hearing loss early. Sad to see the one kid covering his ears.
@@ChromaKeyMystressjust stop. People need fathers.
@@me-mx1hb
A father is a concept, not a gender specific role and certainly not biological(look at the kids). Anyone fulfilling a caretaker role that can instill moral fortitude is a parent. Regardless, children with present "fathers" still take wrong turns in life. Parents do what is in their power but ultimately, people become their own person.
I'm a former teacher turned homeschooling mom and I am just thinking of everything your children learned in this process. Hands-on, project-based learning for the win.
Homeschool parent here: the amount of math and science involved in building a home and installing everything related to it is insane to think about. Throw in mechanics and equipment repair/operation and kids will know more in a few years than all 12 years of “normal” schooling combined! Not to mention everything else these kids learned. I can only imagine the pride and self esteem they have saying “I built that!”
@@adamhughes2096 Agreed!!
I began teaching my trade to my 15 year old this summer. He is highly gifted and they won't allow him to go to the trade schools for electives. He has always helped me fix things around the house, cars etc. His second day he looks up and says, "I just realized I have learned more valuable information in two days with you than in all the years of education."
Team work, trust, many of trades, love of family, adaptability, basic math, geometry, adversity, troubleshooting, conflict resolution, the list goes on and on. More than what sitting in a classroom will teach you.
Good ole american get er dun.😂❤this will benefit your kids all their life😊
The strongest 10 year old in the town loves her father a lot 🌷
I worked side by side with my Daddy just like this. A kid doesn't know the value of the learning until later in life. It is priceless! Fantastic job! ❤
Son is 34 and still upset that I made him work along side me when he was young. I'm a single mom who tried to build us a better life
The skills these kids are learning! Not to mention the relationship building and confidence! Wonderful job by all!
I’m not even finished with this video but I had to comment- I am so impressed with these kids. This is solid parenting, these kids are learning so many life skills. Sometimes they look exhausted and they keep going. The father and mother should be proud. You are raising amazing children! They will always remember this experience.🏆🏆🏆🏆❤
This man is building his house... if there were more nails in his state, he would have used them. Having "our home" is a powerful thing, all the more real and rewarding when you can do the work yourself. Congrats!
Cleary someone has construction experience but I'm so glad all your children had this learning experience and they will remember this for the rest of their lives helping build their own home.
Agree but I doubt this is "their home". It seems dad (and this channel), sells these kits and this is somewhat of an infomercial about it. That's not to diminish the obvious great parenting in any way ... these kids will grow up confident and happy and the family will be strong. But man, what a great way to promote treasured memories and family bonding! Wishing Building in a Box nothing but success!
You are teaching these kids great skills! In a few years they can start their own construction business. This country needs tens of thousands of new modest homes built.
As a Grandmother of 11 kids,God Bless you Dad,my father is long gone but was a daddy girl for sure, and still do things as he taught
The building materials notched $50K but your Kids contribution was well over $1 million. Kudos one & all
PRICELESS!❤😂❤
Valuable, valuable experience! Now they will understand their home, top to bottom. And one day they will say, “When I was building our house with my dad and my siblings…”
You have not only built a home but you have also built resilience and ethics for work and the satisfaction of doing something good in the mind and heart of your children, God Bless you and your family
You are giving your kids the greatest gift you could ever give them by having them help build this home. They will never forget these experiences and they will appreciate the home more knowing all the effort it took to build it. Great parenting 👍 God bless you all ❤
I love how the children are all invoked in building the family house. Plus this helps with the work load.
Excellent build man you got some workers I don't know if it gets any better than building your own house with your family impressed
Yea hats off, u raising them right!! Respect, vid should have millions of views!!
@@Eastbaypisces The idea of building itself: Excellent. The work and methods, not so much sadly.

I'm so glad to see that you included your daughters, young ladies need to know the basic of home repairs too. That way some joker can't come along and overcharge them for easy repairs they could do themselves. Trust me it happens. Now you just have to teach the kids how to cook, they'll use it everyday!
Easy to see this isn’t your first time running a nail gun.
Your children are blessed to have you in their lives.
I am happy to see responsible children learning and helping. Great parenting. Most kids these days are completely lost.
The first time I had an opportunity to help my parents build a house was from around the age of three all the way until the time I was in my mid twenties.
Over that twenty year period it was supposed to be a retirement home but due to the decline in the area and a lack of building boom so to speak the house was finished and my mother and father decided to sell and build elsewhere.
The second house didn't come around until 1998.My father was in charge of the project and I helped him and assisted him throughout the and the house was there until both my parents passed away last year and twenty twenty three when we ended up selling the home.
This experience and endeavor you are making with.Your children is an amazing thing and is considered as priceless for it will bring a lifetime of memories and stories to share with generations!
You are a great dad! Teaching incredible skills as opposed to typical kids addicted to their phones and social media.
Totally proud of you and kids;
Hats off to all.
I am a person who loves wooden furniture, because it is very environmentally friendly, thank you for creating beautiful, useful works for life, wishing you and your family good health!!!!❤❤❤❤

I am so moved by this…….the building of Young People. …..YOU ARE AN AMAZING FATHER!!!! God Bless You🙏🏻🇺🇸👌😉
I don’t agree..He’s putting them kids in danger..He shoots that nail gun around like nothing..And also putting them up on that roof like that is not safe ..Some stuff is ok for those kids to do but he has went overboard

I'm not as impressed with the house as I am with the Wonderful Young People you are raising, and giving the the greatest gift...a trade!! Learning to work with your hands and mind! The absence of distraction leads to amazing things! Thank you Great Video! Fantastic young people! Dynamite Adults!!
What an awesome experience for your kids, who can say I built a house when I was 10 years old? I had to subscribed.
I’m speechless! What a beautiful family. Amazing dad, greatest life lesson I’ve ever seen. Beautiful house. Not one kid with their head in a cell phone! A lifetime of memories.❤❤
As American Citizens we have been told since birth what we cannot do. Build our own house, retire before to old to enjoy life, grow our own food. You gotta be in debt to have things. Well you have provided them wrong again. You can do anything, with a great Family and trusting in God! Awesome job indeed!
You must be listening to the wrong people, I am an American and I was taught by my family and faith that I could do whatever I worked for, it’s not waiting on handouts it’s hard work and family that makes all the things you talk about come true, it also helps if you’re not a big city democrat
Y'all are an answered prayer. I've been praying and looking for an inexpensive way to build our new house. Your family foundation is on solid rock. It's a blessing to see how you're raising your children to honor family values of working together.
Such a love of labor. Much love and Blessings to yall
I love this so much. Your kids doing parts of the project a kid would normally not be "trusted" to do. But they crushed it!
This is how you teach children to appreciate things in life. He is teaching them values, so they will know how to care for themselves. Its important that children have fathers like this one in their lives. My father taught me at a early age and now I can do anything and have confidence in myself. These are great Parents!
This is a home that Family Love built. What a great way to teach your children Skills that can help them in the future. May your family enjoy many years of happiness in your new home.👍
Reminds me of my husband finishing the basement. All hands required! Both of my children learned a lot about building construction. As adults they not afraid to tackle any household improvements.
It’s more then a house it’s a home where so many conversations, meals, good times and unfortunately maybe a few not so good will take place and maybe one of your children/ grandchildren will raise their family or live alone in it one day. My son is purchasing my Dad’s house that he and his brothers built in 1960 (my house growing up!) as he passed in December. My Mom with a little help hosted every holiday and my boy is keeping the family traditions going. In this life having a home is a tremendous blessing.. yes it can be a headache at times but having a place to lay your head has been one of my greatest joys. The greatest Joy … my children ❤
Amazing! What a lesson to learn for these kids. This should be programmed at the middle/high schools. Terrific!
Super job! Four awesome children! ❤
I glad to see your kids helping. My family built a house in 1981. It was a lot of work but the kids still talk about it at Christmas. The only thing that I would have recommended would be to raise the slab at least 8 inches over the years your yard will grow and your slab will sink. Great job
Excellent job!! This was the reality of my Saturdays, summer, and school holidays until I was 12 when my dad passed. Some of the best memories I have I working with him.
Obviously putting the house together takes a lot of skill, but the hidden skill here is having the patience and time to show you kids what to do, to make them feel empowered and included, all while making sure the work gets done. Incredible work.
I love it that you’re using metal siding instead of vinyl. So beautiful and safer.
Don't forget, it blocks WiFi + Bluetooth + Cell Towers + Digital Air Waves and Satellites. You may not understand it now, but you will in the future.

❤So Awesome to see your children being a part of building a home 2gether🎉 Building confidence, endurance, patience and so many great values for life, they will achieve so much more.
What a job Dad, you are making hard working kids, who know values of hard work!
Great job, reminds me when I helped my Grandfather working on our house. My Mom was also a builder and Mom, my sister, with a family friend and Grandma and grandpa we all built our house on the top of a mountain in upstate New York. But we did not have sandy soil to work with. Ron USCG RET
Now that’s 40-60’s style children. I remember as a 9 yo help dig up our sewage line because of tree root invasion.
I remember carrying cement blocks when I was 12, and my sister was 10 to help build our basement. My 10 year old sister was the strong one too, she could carry 2 at a time, me being skinny could only manage 1. I was wiry though, so if I'd had gloves I may have done better, but my finger tips got raw from the rough blocks. I didn't have calluses to protect them. My dad was a stone Mason, who worked lifting stone and setting it all day, so his hands were calloused, and his forearms were huge. He worked his trade until he was 70. He didn't have any sons, so he taught us how to fish and clean them, skin rabbits, and about nature. How to identify trees, edible mushrooms, and wild fruit.
do you think that children raised from the 40s-60s are the only children who help out or do hands on work? kids can only do what they're given the opportunity to do. i was born in the 90s and I helped my great-grandpa do tons of things -- tend to the garden, the rabbits, fix things, crush cans, cook. my stepgrandpa taught me a little woodworking and fence repair. my stepdad showed me how to jerry-rig literally anything with duct tape lol. if you think kids today are not learning enough hands-on tasks, why not volunteer to teach them? they want to learn (even if they act too cool to try). they just need someone patient who's willing to show them. my kid is 6 and is learning how to help out in the kitchen and use tools. there's no 'style' of children, but there certainly are styles of how adults treat children.
Better built/constructed than 90% of the new builds these days for sure. I don't see a lot of issues with the kit itself either.
Dad, knows His Stuff! He's not Only teaching US, on this Video. His Childern, get to learn, Hands On! GREAT ENERGY! DAD! PRICELESS!
What a wonder dad!.
When i was about 6 my dad let me help him with painting our apartment and that has stay with me.

Smart, hardworking kids, you did a great job as a family. I learned from following my carpenter Grandfather around, there were 3 generations helping when I built my first house in 1978. The memories are grand.
