Hey everyone! My name is Matt and I love woodworking. I build fine furniture using my own blend of hand and power tools and I start with cutting down a tree. My designs have a clean straight line look but I also really enjoy building period pieces. My videos aim to motivate others to challenge themselves and try something new.

Beautiful patience Matt.
After you cut, how long do you let them rest?
Matt: I do this... Everyone else: That's why caulk was invented! 🤣
Nice job!
Until you pushed it at the very end I was thinking, uh nice try.
I thought for certain you would redo the wall instead of scribing the trim piece...<wink>
Got to pick my battles
Put a pencil on the inside hole of a washer, and roll the washer along the wall to draw a line on the board, if you dont have a scribing tool. I have a set of 6 different sized washers on a split-ring for the purpose, its pretty much magic.
Well done
👍 Thats 👍
You did a great job on the cut. But I do cabinetry for a living and I don’t see the juice worth the squeeze. The time you took to scribe that to the wall was not necessary. If you are doing this for your own house I understand. But if your working for someone at an hourly rate that would but an unacceptable waist of time. I would not be happy if my employees did that and I work on multi million dollar beach front properties. Just cuz you can doesn’t mean you should.
So would there have been a gap between the wall and the built-in on this multi-million dollar home? Seriously, how would you have done it?
Looks great Matt
great fit. well done
I was hoping you would see that last spot at the end! Looks good man
For real ❤ nice
Uh paint department
I'm curious how long this process takes.
Dust doesn't discriminate. I spray in a booth and still get dust particles.
What bit was used here?

Dude, you have every adult toy I've ever wanted. Sweet setup
Nice
*bipod ;)
Tripod with two screws haha
I'm surprised the saw horse doesn't look more like a piece of furniture ;)
🤓 me, too !!
I have a jointer and planer, but i made this type set up on my work bench. So nice to be able to flatten large projects simply. Little time consuming but not bad. The first time i used it, I said, "Hell ya. Opened up some doors for projects. 👍
A good paint job is only one pass away from a run 😉
this is also extremely effective way to catch all the random bugs and flys straight to the paint :)
I don’t think they like the paint fumes
You beat me to the comment! Also, lock up your pets or you will regret it!
what co you do with sawdust? do you recycle in sime way or toss it someplace sell it donate it ? cuz I need some.
cool!
This is a super smart method!! Thanks for showing us this with the explanation!
Love it! Setting up the sawmill is even fun. Impressive that you lined up the saw mill carriage on the first try or was that creative editing?
First try. The stubs on the bottom of the carriage make it almost self aligning
Helpful - thank you.
Had no idea it came in for naps. Well done!
This thing needs a permanent home in it's own building/ car port setup.. You have plenty of field, just begging for another building. :)
🤷 *promo sm*
Hey Matt, I wanna come and play on the sawmill, too!
Why did Lindsay try to hide the saw mill from you in the Mattcave? She is so silly some times! Of course you would look there first. Geez...
You can screw in from the backside if you dont know what size the hardware for inset . Overlay you need a jig ,external of the box...as long as you know the open dimensions.
Very nice details to really show off both your skills, and quality of workmanship.
Good times 🎉😊
broken cinder blocks still useful
I love how, with all your decals on that, this is actually a commercial for your SLABmaster. This was actually how I found you - through April Wilkerson's video of you helping put together hers - and I was like "Hey, he lives near me! That's cool!"
Can't believe that you actually stored Lumber on TOP of the cutting head assembly. Is the barn that full? 😉
Stronger than my actual pallet racks 😆
@@mcremona that is rather impressive, given how rugged those racks are!
'The Barn' is a game changer! I'm glad to see your awesome saw mill isn't sitting out in the weather year round. Obviously the zero commute to fill orders is great.
Which Freud do you have on your sawstop? I have always been annoyed with with my Forrest, has never really cut well.
Ultimate cutoff and glr depending on the operation
I see some summer sawing coming soon.
Your ingenuity has me absolutely slabergasted!
If I could afford a sawmill, this would be on the top of my list.
If Home Depot would buy a planer and a jointer, we wouldn’t need to have this debate.
Wow!
Hey Matt, do you ever get ahold of English Walnut logs?
Not yet
@@mcremona thanks
