Teemo has to be League of Legends most hasted champion. At least in solo queue. When it comes to his use in the esports scene though, he does have a little charm to him. It hasn't happened often, but every once in a while we see one of Leagues best top laners try to use teemo in LCS, LCK, and plenty other leagues across the world. Today we explore that history of League of Legends most hated champion.

Wait, why did you not include other roles ? Specifically I'm thinking of the c9 pick vs tsm when Hai picked him
@@foximou So as I said in a few other comments, I omitted 3 games when he was played: Hai, Electra, and Tails all played him between 2013-2015 Mid or Bot lane. I didn't want to spend too much time going over that part of his history and kinda lumped those games into the "he found a small revival as a mid-bot flex option" comment. I was more interested in when he was repeatedly used seriously rather than one-off picks.

Dissapointed he didnt mention Hai's teemo mid that caused riot to nerf him lol
Same. I was expecting him to show up but didn't happen :(
Also the Hauntzer temp pick was the result of Reggie saying if he got enough retweets or something like that then the team would pick teemo by the end of the season. And well it was the last week of the season and hauntzer drew the short straw
Yep I was looking for this in the comments.
yeah wtf is this gbong guy doing a 26 min video and missing the most important part lol
That was the game that made me a C9 fan
22:36 gotta love how the "miss!" comes up as Teemo misses the cannon
Lost and cannon AND his life. FeelsBadMan
Glad to see a shorter documentary episode
Yeah I'm definitely going to try to keep making some relatively short videos since you guys keep asking for that :)
Completely agree with this. Feels great to be able to watch your videos but the longer timeframe did deter me for a while and I think this is the perfect length (
@@gbay99 I appreciate it as I know I have been asking for about a year now to try to keep your episodes shorter, for your own sanity and ease of viewing for others. I love the longer episodes because they have so much to say, but I would definitely like them more if it was say "the best tournament league has hosted part 1 & part 2"
@@gbay99 I love your long videos, maybe I am a minority and that is fine but I wouldn't like to see them gone completely . I watch them all. I watched your DIG video 3 times, your original, Scarra & imaqtpie reactions.
@@gbay99 shorter episode are just easier to digest. Also even when I'm not that interested in the topic I would watch 20-30 min episode, especially with your energy, but it's much harder to justify with 1-2h episode
hey gbay i know you probably won't see this comment but after looking at your recent community post all I can say is don't give up on what you are doing. if you truly love making these documentaries keep doing those. even if all that hard work and effort might not be able to crack over 100k views don't beat yourself keep going cuz sooner or later your videos will be notified and will be loved even if some aren't interested in the history of the league. some people and youtube itself may favour more consistent videos while some might favour the quality of the videos. but for me, I always respect content creator that make passionate videos that they put the hard work in. which is why you one of my favourite league CZcamsrs
I agree. Theres a lot of reasons on why the video might not get as many clicks as other videos, and I dont think that they are Gbays fault (Worlds just happened, so the casual players that dont play regulary are probably less interested in League right now, semester started so people got more stuff to do etc...)
Shitty daily videos might get views now, but no one will watch them in ten years.
These videos will be worth watching in the future.
I'd like to point out how this video might be only 5 days old at the time of my post, but it already had 53k views. It'll get the 100k in time.
I concurr, these documentaries just brought me on this channel just 2 days ago, for my greatest pleasure :)
11 months later I am watching this video and yea, these type of vids do get views over time and have longevity to them.
So, your telling me, I’ve been watching THE season 1 Teemo player on CZcams for the last 2 years, and I didn’t even notice?!?!?!
You watched trm for 2 years and didnt know that
same
most people who watch trm these days don't know he was a pro for tsm in season 1. hence why he gets a lot of hate when he DOES make league content on his channel, as most people don't know that's where he originated from
I’ve been doing the same thing wtf
Im pretty shure that buggax already said that he has already signed for a team. If i recall well the rumors say that he is joining a superteam under the team infinity esports. I'm pretty shure that his pocket teemo will still be a threat for years to come!
(I'm sorry if my english is bad, i tried my best)
This is the best news I've heard all of 2020
So Gbay watching LLA for 2021? :o
It was confirmed yesterday, INF buggax

All my homies hate Seraphine.
I too dislike Seraphine but what is funny that i played like 30 games since she got released and no one picked her

History of Teemo in competitive League:
C9 Hai:"Am I a jole to you?"
its like on purpose he missed very obvious c9 vs tsm spring split 2014 w1d1 where teemo was picked and won, so that he could get his 6 years without a win narrative.
this video with this match has over 0.5 milion views, so its widely known
when i first played league, i had a friend who main teemo every position. those were the times
Wait did Gbay not covering Hais Teemo in 2014? He wrecked havoc
I was going to say this. Hai was THE reason teemo got nerfed in a hotfix. Imagine the most impactful games teemo ever played getting ignored....
Loved the rest of the video though GJ Gbay
Or regis troll teemo pick at s3 worlds group stage
agree, i thought this was the most historic teemo appearance. it was opening game of split with tons of hype going in and tons of hype after
He was talking about top lane specifically
Seriously... Hai busted out Teemo in Bjerg's TSM debut and won. Really shoulda mentioned that one.
FINALLY your video showed up in my subscription box
Finally. Glad to hear it :)
For real!
Yep for me too
fast forward to 2022 play-ins for worlds and teemo has made another appearance on the big stage
That guy knew what he was doing he was being a martyr so teemo can get a whole VCU and Rework from riot.
2:26 you got that drip
And look at The Rainman now.. rocking Teemo top and raging at the state of League lol
:D teemo legend
In the modern meta of tightly controlled vision he’s actually pretty good. His ability to force the other team to take more sweepers can seriously limit their vision control and if they ignore him he can turn chunks of the map into absolute no go zones and become a split pushing nightmare. I don’t know if this translates into pro play but on the ladder he fits today’s league very well as a map control machine.
Too bad most solo players just use him to minefield mid and add 20 minutes to their teams loss lol.
Split pushing is not really viable in pro play. Minefields are worthless there as well since movement often happens in groups and only one sweeper is necessary to eliminate that problem.
In teamfights mushrooms can not be effectively used because their damage is simply not front loaded enough and a blind is no big deal considering how many caster physical dps exist that rely on 0 auto attacks. He is to outdated to work.
TRM is an irl Teemo. Love his content. Great video!
It's still so weird for me how Doublelift is considered a TSM star now rather than a CLG one. As an old school TSM fan, i always saw him as the bane of TSM.
Yeah not only was he the star for their main rival team, he was their star ADCs rival and the biggest TSM hater in NA, half of his early twitter posts were flaming TSM and their players saying how shit they were and that he'd never play for/with them

Haha, apenas vi el titulo del video me vino a la mente.
love your story telling, as a competitive LoL player during S1 and S2 the nostaligia is always strong with your work
Its nice to see my little war crime commiting yordle getting some support. (Great work on the doc btw. I know you were feelin down about viewership not too long ago, but keep your head up and keep up the amazing docs! I love learning about the history of league from you)
Awesome vid!! Would love to see some champion spotlights that have interesting history in the game and professional community.
About Buggax's contract, I don't know his exact case, but Brazil has just now started franchising and his team has merged with a bigger one, no rolster in Brazil is currently confirmed so he could go anywhere in here
according to rumors he is going back to LLA playing with Infinity esports on 2021
@Gbay99 Thanks for the content. Excited every time I see them pop up. The Nostalgia factor is great. Loved and watched out for the release of every video in the last 6 months+. Can remember back in the day staying up until 4 am to watch events. Keep it up.
Ngl I was going into the video like “I’m not really feeling” to leaving like “damn, that was a good video” love the work you’re doing Gbay, don’t let the numbers discourage you from doing what you love.
You could do one of these for every champion in the game and I would watch it all. Excellent work as per usual.
You're the man Gbay! Hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe during the covid spike. Greatly appreciate the back to back videos!
El buen buggax, he might be playing again in LLA this year, he's, for sure, one of the best and most crative top laners in LATAM
Definitely love all your docs, longer or shorter, keep it up man!!
This was a good documentary video gbay, it was like watching a tv episode instead of a 1 hour Netflix special and I like that
love this style that focuses on the history of a champion or things in game for those of us who haven't kept up with competitive league for very long
Glad you shouted TRM's youtube acc. Randomly found him on a Mount and blade video and wondered if it was the same one I heard of from old pro player, and sure enough it was, and he also plays WoW occasionally. Fun to watch, would reccomend.
I really enjoyed this video, it kinda reminded me of what FalseSwipeGaming is for pokemon, a documentary talking about the strengths and weaknesses of a specific character and then tell us what he means for pro play. I would love to see more of these kinds of videos!

Holy shit, my boy TRM was actually TEEMO RAINMAN the whole time?! His Let’s Plays are god tier!
I'm about to start watching and if TheRainMan isn't mentioned, I'll be absolutely shocked.
and there he is at 1:54.
You didn't have to wait long
hell yeah TRM PLAY ACTION!! TEEMO LEGEND!!
Gbay, if you were curious what the correct balance is in your documentaries, IMO, this is it. Proper length, openly entertaining subject, doesn't require real knowledge of competitive LoL history. I can dive into this!
The Rain Man in the thumbnail lmao. I remember them days when he would solo queue teemo split pushing top
Good video. What about the C9 Hai Teemo games? I saw a couple other mids brought up. But not the couple times Hai used it in LCS.
Keep up the documentaries :)
hey gbay, i just wanted to say thank u, ive enjoyed your videos for many years and you legitimately produce content i find interesting, i left league long ago but i’ve kept up with your content :)
THANK YOU, have tried to look through this myself but have no clue where to begin thx for doing the work for me.
Please don't ever stop making content. One of the greats
And then, Worlds 2022, LOUD's top picked Teemo. Don't ever let Teemo die, guys, it's an hilarious pick no matter where he is played.
Nice video, btw!
i knew the moment i started this vid i would see TRM eventually lmao

Makes me happy to see a gbay vid in my feed
I would love one of Shaco. He's tied with amumu for lowest picks excluding seraphine at 16. Maybe a documentary about low picked champs? I remember you did one on Garen right before he blew up.
Nice vid gbay. I love ur docs and I just recommend if you wanted to make a longer video (1 hr plus) I think two part videos would be a perfect way to do so. It’s hard for a lotta people to sit down for an hour daily and just watch a video but 20-30 min vids are much easier to find time for.
My Feed has shown me this video on time! Excited to see what you will tell and teach us this time! ^^
I never have been into E-sports, but Teemo is a champion with a special place in my heart. He was the reason I started playing League. He is still my champ with the highest mastery points. When he got the little devil skin, it was bought in an instant. I love this little rat and I'm trying to get him to work again for me.
Even being around back that I had no idea Dlift and Dyrus played with reginalds brother way back when that is insane
Already dated, Seraphine now exists, Teemo is no longer the most hated.
Zoe: hold my beer
Teemo's biggest nerf was his W. It used to work in combat so imagine thinking you had him dead and he just zoomed out and was gone. If Riot made that one change and put it back, Teemo would be all over competitive play again. He'd be a turbo jungler all over the map driving people INSANE.
Yas has been the most hated for at least 5 years hands down.
Nice documentary! I’m almost certain Hauntzer’s teemo pick into gnar was “for fun”. There was a post game interview of one of the players saying Regi promised someone would play teemo. It was the last game of the split for the 2016 summer TSM super team. I’ve never heard of it as a counter pick. Same as with the LCK toplaners picking it as well
its not nice, its like on purpose he missed very obvious c9 vs tsm spring split 2014 w1d1 where teemo was picked and won, so that he could get his 6 years without a win narrative.
this video with this match has over 0.5 milion views, so its widely known
Love this length of video much more!
I haven’t heard if The Rain Man in forever, damn
I prefer those smaller docs. The longer ones, even though there is more work put into them, I can't watch because I don't have much time with university and other stuff. Keep up the good work man!
great video! watched the whole thing and loved it
enjoyed this piece, but kinda disappointed that C9's Teemo pick didn't have a mention in this. I was waiting for it, pretty sure Hai even had an interview after and talked about it.
feels like an eternity since ive seen teemo in high tier play
You should cover Hai’s Teemo vs Bjerg. That game was insane and instantly made me a huge fan of Hai
Keep up the good work bro
its april 11th and Buggax just qualified for MSI with LLA team Infinity Esports, may we see more of him and his teemo :)
Hey Gbay, bit late to the party since this video didn't show up in my feed for some reason. Loved the video as always, but I was wondering where the Reginald pick at S3 worlds and Hai's pick in the first game of the 2014 spring split were? Regi picked it vs Gaming Gear EU and Hai picked it vs TSM. Keep up the great content!
Your video showed up in my sub box this time, good work!

This was very interesting and really cool. Good job!
Wasn't expecting seeing Buggax here, but certainly I appreciate it
Hauntzer’s Teemo pick on TSM vs NRG was a result of a tweet by Reginald
did you forget c9 hai brining out teemo vs TSM and winning lmao
Gbay makes me more passionate about the things I’m passionate about, and I’m thankful for that
Its my first comment on your videos, but as a Teemo Main I couldnt resist. In the last years I felt like Riot Games evolved League in a direction I dislike, with champion kits that could fill a entire novel, Teemo was there as a beacon for the fun I had with this game so many years ago.
Thank you for this documentary at the end I legit shed one tear. Keep it up bud!
Gbay i'd love to see you playing Top lane with the new items!
Showing PowerOfEvil when talking about Proplay and teemo really nailed it.
