Honestly, watching it live. We all thought it was a mispick. But it turned into a part of probably the best finals we've had.

The Ashe & MF ult synergy, one being a stun and one being a damage nuke, wasn't the only reason to pick it for that game. It was also because of the MF passive counting as an additional on-hit for the sake of killing Zyra plants, so she could one-shot them to get them out of the way and also bounce the double-ups from them, both at the same time, ruining Zyra's effectiveness as a poke support completely.
Her E was also effective against the plants wasn't it ?
ROX vs SKT might be the greatest series ever on the top tier pro scene. Was just incredible.

@@davidschwarcz9373 Gnar jungle, AP Kog Maw mid was put on the radar by PoE he got completely random Orianna build which he made work. They played Udyr jg when nobody else played it, Elise was the same when Kikis left the team. He picked it in his last game for tham and then everybody started using her. These are the ones which comes to mind for me.

2016 rox vs skt is still the best professional league series of all time.
even after playing league for nearly 10 years now and watching the esports for even longer and rewatching most memorable games from seasons prior, there are the occasional 1-2 games in a series that are better then the 2016 match but overall its the best.
sad that FAKER's OLAF MID against the pocket pick of BKT G4's Irelia didn't make the cut but all in all it is a great video

I remember watching the TF jungle live! It was crazy fun at the time.
I believe it was a rune at the time, but part of the reason it worked is a rune allowed the jg camps to be stunned every 4 auto attacks so he would leash and drop agro from the camps over and over while stunning them.
Clearing the jg used to be a lot harder than it is today so it was essential or else it wouldnt have been able to survive
Awesome gameplay! Pretty informational insofar as seeing you use uf 3+4 for the handstand stance. Also that WR 3 into db * f 2+4 is cool. I also noticed how patient you are haha. Whiffing gets me killed a lot.
You can make this video and just put g2 into it ngl. Nautilus, lissandra, pyke, janna and the list goes on with weird picks

in semi finals or quarter Bwipo solo carried a game with Singed top, it was really impressive I hope you talk about it if you do a second episode !
unfortunately this video actually UNDERSELLS ignars leona pick and the misfits drafts in general.
This was during the ardent meta which basically only consisted of enchanter supports and hyper carries in bot lane. The reason ignar and misfits had such good success in the series is because ignar is mainly a engage support player and skt was just not used to lane 2v2 against early engage during this time because of the meta because not picking an ardent support basically lost you the game. But misfits compensated this by playing ivern jungle and karma mid so they always got the scaling the meta required but also got their engage support player on comfort. Was really insane for the time i remember this series it was so crazy in a super bland meta
Nice video! This was interesting to watch. (Though I would’ve liked it even more if you had mentioned the off-meta pick’s KDA so we could at least guesstimate how effective it was) other feedback I had was perhaps less of a narrative focus on each pick (after telling us if it’s a game five at worlds etc), and instead a bit more technical of an analysis about why it is a counter matchup (instead of just “oh the pros aren’t used to playing against this.” Because the technical knowledge is what I find the most engaging!)
If you don't know this is a small info about these picks:
As the tilte said they worked. KDA in not the most important stat when it comes to this. On the list the 2 worth mentioning is Pyke and MF. They were the 2 who wasn't only a suprise pick.
At that time when G2 locked in Pyke it was a quadruple flex for the, as outside of Jankos everybody played it once if I remember correctly. It was working bea use of the good wave clear quick roams and high early dmg. Than got hit hard and never became meta again on mid/top. He is only a pocket pick support now.
MF support was cooked up by Gorilla as a counter pick to Zyra. With auto+Q you was able to clear her plants and maybe poke with it and got decent dmg from E. The other thing it required to work super well in that series was Ashe on ADC. The combo was MF E into Ashe R into MF R onto the Zyra. And as she is a paper champ she died from this combo. Than stayed meta for a while in spring , before it got nefred and was never played again as support.
Most of the rest was a 1 game pick which just caught enemy by suprise as they didn't mmkw hoe to play againts it.
For me GRF Viper playing adc teemo 2 times is way bigger of a suprise, and UOL could have gotten an episode dedicated to them.
wasn't the brand support the reason why support damage numbers were brought back in the after team fight graphics? I remember seeing the damage number from only the other 4 roles after a team fight even though it was obvious the support out damaged everyone.

Of course it show in onnovation to be the first to play something but I think working for meta picks are more meant for picks that were picked despite never becoming meta and still working. Hello, I feel like you would make the video easier to digest if you made pauses in your sentences and slowed down a little. That would make for easier to listen to sentences and you could make them more impactful as well :)

video titel was very good and it was an interesting topic but here is some critical feedback: flow of the video was really weird because going from season 3 clips to season 10 back to season 5 to season 8 is just really out of order and it almost made me wanna click out of it. and idk why u explain every champ like fevor leona, pyke top but you dont explain why miss fortune support was such a strong pick at that time (miss fortune almost insta killed zyra plants which makes zyra practically useless) but instead just show a average clip of ashe r + miss r even though miss fortune support was such a revolution at that time, even made T1 ban it and affecting the H2K vs SSG matchup aswell as getting banned in game 1 of SSG vs T1 finals. Missed out on alot of other iconic picks like Keria ADC support meta, garen yuumi and some other iconic picks. with abit more research and better flow this couldve easily been a 20-25 minute banger video because the topic is ACTUALLY interesting which is the reason why I clicked on this video even though i never heard of your channel before but on the other side a positive thing I noticed/liked is your editing style! keep it up like this and you will make it big! cheers
