How to tell REAL vs FAKE vs LEGAL HACKED Pokemon - Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra Guide

  • WE ARE BACK. To hacked Pokemon of course in Pokemon Sword and Shield the Crown Tundra dlc. After seeing the wildly positive reception to the original hacked Pokemon Video I was inspired to make this video. The main thing that inspired me was the comments left on that video. I had comments ranging from, "Is this Pokemon Hacked" to "Can I get banned for having fake Pokemon" to finally "Who cares if the Pokemon are hacked". So with that, I felt inspired to come foreward and answer those questions with a brand new set of fake, or genned, Pokemon used exclusively to illustrate some of my points.
    *NOTE: As a clarification. Legal in this video is defined as 'Tournament Legal'. While you can not legally acquire a Shiny Galarian Zapdos without hacking, you CAN use one in a Tournament*
    You can find a link to the original hacked Pokemon video here if you haven't already, check it out!
    • How to check FAKE and ...
    I also wanted to quickly talk about the Galarian Moltres and the joke I was making there. Basically, there is some drama in the Pokemon community right now because a prominent Pokemon CZcamsr, Verlisify, called out a very popular, former World Champion, Pokemon player named WolfeyVGC or just Wolfey for short. After watching both the accusation and the rebuttal from Wolfey I can fairly confidently say that neither was right, at least completely. This comes from a slight lack of understanding on both players parts (which is fine, as I dont expect either to be complete experts in hacked Pokemon). Nonetheless, I thought the drama was funny so I had the hacker recreate Wolfey's Moltres to show how easily it could be done. Now in my opinion, knowing what I know, I don't believe any of the Pokemon that Wolfey used in the Players Cup tournament, except potentially Moltres was hacked. If Wolfey could give me access to the Moltres I could say with more certaininty but the main thing that I don't know is whether the Moltres was 6 iv or Hypertrained. Best case scenario the Moltres is Hypertrained and the person who caught it was hunting for no specific mark gives the Moltres a (1/2)*(4/32)*(3/100)= 3/1600 of being real which ISNT UNREASONABLE. For the record the 1/2 is the chance the attack IV wont be one of the 3 perfect IVs, the 4/32 is the chance the attack IV is 0-3 and the 3/100 is the chance to get any "personality mark with the mark charm". Now in the worst case the math is (1/2)*(1/32)*(1/950)*(1/32)*(1/32) = 1/62259200 chance of being real... but this is the absolute worst case in which the trainer was hunting ONLY the angry mark and the Moltres has 6 IVS (5 best and No Good Attack). Likely the real number answer lies somewhere in the middle. But ya if it's worst case it's safe to assume its hacked but if it's best case, it's worth giving benefit of the doubt (past history not considered). FINALLY, and this is important, no matter if it was hacked or not in this particular tournament it is not the reason Wolfey won. He is a very talented player and he won through good team design and careful play. Also, please do not harass either of these CZcamsrs. What they are both doing at the end of the day is GOOD for Pokemon. Verlisify's goal is to keep competitive Pokemon honest and Wolfey's goal is too help make competitive Pokemon more mainstream and both are important.
    tl;dr I need more evidence to say for certain whether Wolfey's Moltres was hacked :) (Also I don't beleive any of his other Pokemon were hacked, having 508 IVs is not enough of an indicator for me).
    Also, I stream on CZcams MWF and Sunday from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM PT, so feel free to stop by when I’m live. Hope to see you there!

      There are also some Grey Zone-Pokemon that are/were available without specific glitchabuse that are always on an "eh, idk if this is safe to run"-basis.
      For example, some international Pokemon games from Gen 1 and 2, and all from Gen 3 can trade with each other without issues, but interregional trading is only supposed to be done from Gen 4 onwards. In Gen 4, Manaphy Eggs are shiny locked except if they are traded to someone else before hatching(Which can easily be mistaken for an intentional secret if one does not know that it is a glitch). And in earlier versions of Pokemon Transporter, Shinies were calculated incorrectly, so there are some mons running around that aren't shiny when they really should be and the reverse.

    I’ve had two different interactions with hacked Pokémon.
    The first was when I was 10 or 11, and I met a kid on a plane who was using a GameShark with one of the Gen3 games. With it, he caught me a mew by manipulating the spawn rates of everything in the game. He also maxed out all my items so I was throwing master balls for the rest of my time playing Leaf Green. I was able to transfer that mew all the way to Pokémon White, when I was attempting to migrate everything from then to Omega Ruby. But trying to transfer it to Gen VI is where the games finally noticed, and blocked it from migrating any further.
    The second case, and I never pinged that it was hacked until this video, was a Shiny Rayquaza holding a Master Ball I received in Wonder Trade. I still have that one, as the IVs were perfect, but it hadn’t been leveled. And that year there were a boatload of events commemorating the 20th anniversary, some of which gave that Shiny Rayquaza. So I never thought anything of it.
    Also for anyone newer to the franchise that want to poke a hole saying that you can’t Wonder Trade mythical or special Pokémon, that wasn’t the case then. At that point in the online, I was sending hundreds of Phione through Wonder Trade, just because they were so easy to hatch at that point.

One weird thing for me tho is that it doesn’t have a single perfect iv, none of them are 31. I thought all legendaries were set to have 31 Ivs in at least 3 stats so I’m uneasy about it.

  • @bluecannibaleyes
    @bluecannibaleyes Před 2 lety +4

    Nice tips! Hopefully this will help some people out.
    Although I wouldn’t personally consider being hatched in a non-daycare route location as any kind of flag. Why would they do it? To get a cool location in the summary screen. Plenty of people purposely go to an interesting or fitting location to hatch eggs because it looks cooler than ‘route 5’ in the summary screen. They could have been collecting eggs in the pc and then hatching them all at once rather than right as they bred them. Makes even more sense to do it that way in the current generation where you can access the pc from anywhere. Received from a link trade rather than the nursery is definitely a flag, but imo simply being hatched on a non-daycare route is not.
    Also, pokemon from earlier games seem to almost always have the ‘fond memory but can’t remember the details’ memory even if they are completely legitimate, so that’s also something to keep in mind.
    Everything else was good advice on what to look for, though.

    So I know I'm late to the party because I only started playing Pokemon Sword last month. But I have to disagree with some of your reasons to throw red flags.
    6 iv hatched pkm: that outcome is very likely especially when you breed two 5 IV+ Pokemon each holding destiny knot. I just hatched a 6iv Kanto Meowth. While it took some chain breeding to get a Meowth with five IVs to go with my 5iv ditto the end result led to a 6iv meowth like I wanted. And since my Ditto is from Japan, it's going to be very likely that when I finally hatch a shiny it will have perfect IVs. I'm just saying you can't use the fact that a Pokemon has perfect IVs as a red flag (maybe with legendaries (not found in max raid adventures) you can.
    Nature: while that Zapdos buggy is clearly fake, you can't use its nature as a red flag because you can catch it easily with that nature using a Pokemon with synchronize ability in lead with nature you want.

    • @MattZRJSRoxy
      @MattZRJSRoxy Před 10 měsíci

      that's sadly not enough info to say 1 way or the other BUT because it says Ash and TV program that narrows it down to the Gen 8 distribution rather than the Gen 7 distribution so if the ID is 201023, it has a Hardy nature, not below Level 25, has a Classic Ribbon and is male and is in a Poké Ball then that makes it more probable that it could be legal, it also needs to have the fateful encounter flag in its summary

    Hey i have a question.
    I got a shiny Rhyperior from a gts trade where i put up a gengar and asked for a Rhyperior.
    When i transferred it to sword it had 6 best I’vs and all of the little blue symbols at the bottom of it’s description.
    It’s nature is Adament and it says that it traveled time and space to join me from the
    Alola region.
    When i checked it’s memories it said that it had a fond memory however it didn’t seem to be able to remember the details.
    So I’m just wondering, is my Pokémon hacked?
    I didn’t want to release it just yet because I wanted to ask someone who knew a bit more about this than i do.

    I got gen 4-7 and a 3Ds powersaves, back when I purchased it I couldn’t pass the gamesync as soon as I touched a Pokémon directly, all passive ways of hacking, (speeding up the process of training and breeding) are so slow it’s not worth call it hacking anymore lol .. I wonder if u can skip it now that they closed gamesync in older gems.. back on the ds with action replay card there been no struggle at all. Don’t get me wrong even the legitimate hacked u have shown seem to be crazy, 2or3 max IV are enough or not?! Worked so hard for my shinys and they got no maxed iv.. are they crap now for pvp?!
