- There are two new scams that are taking place on either Pokémon Scarlet and Violet or Pokémon HOME. Both sorta involve Pokemon HOME, I go over both of them today. If you just play the games like normal, neither would likely affect you but it's still great to be aware.

Nope.
Home updates now have Tracker for all Pokemon games, so just not GO.
If the Pokemon was generated in a game where they are not legally obtained via wild encounters, events, etc. They won't be able to enter Home.
Example- Groudon in Scarlet/Violet
Shiny Mew in BDSP etc etc
@@nightowl7261 what about sellers on Ebay that offer all pokemon either non shiny or shiny and I believe they offer OT (original trainer) and TiD (trainer iD) and they have many good reviews

Thanks for the warning, but it seems hacked Pokemon aren't the only ones being blocked from Home. I had a legitimate shiny Azumarill from Gen 3 borrowed to me that got blocked out with the same error code. It was able to be transferred to Home before it got in to Scarlet and Violet. so how come it's being blocked now?
That might be one of those things where you need to contact the customer support thing with your ID since it came in legit from a transfer.

@@AlexsaurusRex i got some terrible news bro... if ya didnt move yo shinies to home already, ya wont be able to anymore anyways since nintendo eshop for 3ds aint up anymore, meaning 3ds pokemon cant be transfered to home anymore

@@xAdrianHGx You can't download the apps for 3DS anymore. But you can still use them if you kept them downloaded since the eShop shut down.
I’ve also been getting a lot of shiny pokemon through trades on home that I’m 99% sure were gened. They usually have the OT of HOME and have best IVs. Also usually in a pokeball. I got a shiny tinkatink and a shiny mienfoo the other day that both had this issue
Got a shiny Corviknight like that, and I released it. On an unrelated note, I just hatched a shiny Alolan Vulpix
i've received a few through wonder trade. Their shiny, perfect IVs, and have a nickname for a website where people sell genned pokemon. I just release them as soon as I get them.
I've caught a shiny pokemon from the max lair, put it in home, traded it to a friend of mine and when they got it, the trainer ID still read as my ID from the game but the trainer name read as HOME. It happened with a shiny blaziken and I can't remember the other mon at the moment. That's happened to me a few times and to this day I've never been able to figure out why. I don't gen, don't even have a switch that can be used to gen mons either. So some shinies you get really could be legit. But then again, you never know. So I know why you err on the side of caution.
@@hitomi_citron I know for a fact the Corviknight wasn't legitimate, cause it was shiny, lv100, had perfect stats across the board, and had a neutral nature, neutral natures are a favorite among those that use generators, unless they're event pokemon

Thanks for warning me! I actually had a Shiny Mew of my own that said it was from Pokemon GO, I put it into Pokemon Home and it worked, thanks for the information!
I'm always skeptical of Pokemon that I get from people and the OT name is 'HOME' because they say they got it from a giveaway but I still think it could be a scam
Of it just says HOME then that means Pokémon reset the original trainer name on the home app. It was probably a website link name
Would I be able to transfer shiny Volcanion, Magearna (regular and Poké Ball), Kubfu, Urshifu, Zarude, Glastrier, Spectrier, and Calyrex from Pokémon Sword to Scarlet, or is that too risky since they’re all hacked?
The indigo disk is going to make this really difficult to tell because there’s a bunch of legendary Pokémon available in game now
Most of all giveaways Pokemon prior to the update are *HOME* *LOCK*
I've been releasing those and been trading them away via surprise trade and other trade for random regular mons.
It can still be used in game for all purposes. So its not completely useless.
Well, if the pokemon breedable, it will be close to impossible to differentiate those Generated or not (especially if they made it realistic statwise and they can bred it and change shinyness and reroll PIDs). But for those that need to be transfered to HOME, you can easily check.
I never knew this was a thing,but then again,I only have the free version of pokemon home since my family won't let me buy the full version,so I guess I'll never experience this scam,also I hate trading anyway (long story short people in past shiny giveaways on facebook have tricked and lied to me about the rules of winning their giveaway so it made me dispise trading forever and I've not entered a giveaway since 2012 after that incident) it's sad that I've won twice back then but never gotten the shinies due to being lied to about the rules

You can still do this with the basic plan with Pokémon home. Your parents are smart not to pay for the subscription service though.

3:56 this actually happened to me but it's fine. I gave an Alolan Vulpix for that fake legendary and I had plenty of Vulpixes left in my boxes... too bad I can't complete my Sword & Shield pokedex now though :((

I simply remove the items off of hacked mons, released them, and sell the items. I'm referring to surprise trades. For items that can't be sold in scarlet and violet, i just trash/delete. And for pokemon home trades, i simply trade my 40+ magikarps I've breed in an attempt for a shiny away so kinda hard for me to get scammed there

Hey dude just wanna say that low views does not equal bad content, and vise versa with high views not equaling good content. Sniperwolf is the prime example of the latter. Keep doing what you're doing and the views will come, good content comes from authenticity. The viewers can tell that you legitimately enjoy what you're discussing. Not if they want to put it in Pokemon Home. Since they genned it, it doesn't qualify and they can't add it to their living dex.
Not saying it's right by any means, but that's most likely why.

I've got all the event distributions for sun & moon gen and cloned them, thought i could wonder trade em but they're locked from that and idk about how to trade them out really guess they still can be given one to one. They're all legit but it's really hard to give people Pokémon, they all want to encounter or soft reset them for themselves.
I went through allot of trouble to reset them all myself for the best possible stats.
ya events cannot really go on wonder trade (I assume it has to do with the Ribbon they give them)

This is the kind of sht why I stopped trading for pokemons and chose to catch every single shiny myself; I much preffer not having a shiny 3 segment dudunsparce (for instance) than having one which might (and, in this case, totally would) be hexed... and, if I don't trade for such a hard to obtain shiny, what would be the point on trading for somethig so much easier to get? Lol
Same, tried getting some Pokemon from the Gts and I kept running into hacked Pokemon and its a shame to hear that its happening again.
I wish they would validate the Home tracker on anything that says it had been transferred through Home when processing online trades in-game. Maybe have an exception if both players have each other registered as friends -- if a group of friends wants to play with hacked Pokemon, let them. But I wish they'd do more to protect trades with strangers, especially as they make it easier to interact with them.
This why I don't trade. You generally cant tell if a pokemon is legit now a days.
Yeah it’s very hard to tell. On the Home GTS there are some good indicators, like if you see an Italian nonshiny legendary in a Quick Ball, likely real

I got a shiny Jirachi from this giveaway and when i tried putting into Pokemon Home i got the return to title screen error so it turns out the reason was it was scam 😩😭

My "HK Shiny Jirachi" is from the event serial code in ORAS along time ago and also a 100% legit one is in my BDSP game 😂
I wonder if "cleaning" the genned mon with Berichan bot would "fix" these with a legit Home tracker???
Not to my knowledge. Home trackers are server sided, you can however make duplicates of a valid home tracker pokemon. The only thing to note is any non changeable values can’t be changed, otherwise the home tracker isn’t correct anymore.
I never do trades for this reason as you can't trust any trades Pokémon anymore.. I just make sure each one I have I obtained myself.
So if I traded for a shiny-locked pokémon in the GTS but then moved it right away into a game, would that be fine, or would I still run the risk of getting banned?
I remembered seeing a CZcamsr named ShinyDen live doing shiny legendary trades and I was gonna do it, but since I’ve seen this, it’s not work getting them just for SV 😅

May i ask, are the Pokemon from giveaways safe for trasnfer to home? Most of them are for collection and will be stored in a separate box , while Pokemon i actually do shiny hunt or collect myself will be sperate. I dont want the pokemon i actually grind for getting screwed and i get locked out.
I don't think you can get locked out. I had the Error 10015 with my Violet and I resolved it by moving all the mythical's and legis back to violet. So your shinys should be save.
All my other games could move around stuff just fine too. Just my violett got flagged until i fixed the issue.

Apparently the shiny zeraora from the special raid event from sword/shield can also get beamed since I assume HOME doesn’t have a event ID check

blegh i feel so bad. i willfully traded like 2 giveaway pokémon in the gts before later realizing it was honestly a pretty scummy thing to do. I wish I could send them back but that's obv not really in the cards. I just got tunnel vision trying to complete my dex and didn't really think about it.

This did worry me a bit since I have a shiny Mew I am pretty sure is hacked, however I transferred it from 3DS. I did put it back into Home after using it in SV and thankfully it still works fine.
I think Genned Pokémon that were transferred from the 3DS games are completely immune to this, it seems. I have a obviously Genned Shiny Cobalion I once got from a Wonder Trade in my semi-dead Alpha Sapphire (one of those early European copies that apparently kill themselves due to manufacturing errors, but somehow still work with Pokémon Bank...?), and he made it through the transfer with zero problems, and he's residing in HOME right now.
Might be because HOME probably creates valid HOME Tracker IDs for 3DS Genned Pokémon. At least, I think so.
A question? There will be a problem if I use another method (for example, bots) to evolve a trading pokemon, more than anything to be able to evolve them, no shiny or 6 IVs. They are only generated by breeding.

When I see a bunch of shiny pokemon on the GTS that want some stupid requirements i assume they are genner or hacked.
Same, the 3ds had the same thing with the gen 7 games so its great to know hackers are ruining Pokemon again.
u can also gen Pokemon caught location like to Pokemon Go Stamped now which is highly in demand, also the step to bypass the 10015 is to go from Pokemon SWSH to Home than to SV , because the Pokemon only patch for Pokemon SV but not Pokemon SWSH, so u can still actually put into Pokemon Home, I already tested it lol...

I’ve gotten mythic Pokémon during the twilight days of the latest DS consoles, some shiny and was able to go into home.
I’m just sad that this happens. I probably won’t be a victim of this since one, I only use the free version of Pokemon HOME and two, I don’t really dabble in legendaries there. All I do is hatch Pokemon I like like Alolan Vulpix which I pass three egg moves to, breed a good nature, and infect it with Pokerus then send it out for trades for common Pokemon that I also want to have. The only time I ever traded one for a legendary was for a Suicune and miraculously, someone gave me one for one of my Alolan Vulpix. At first, I was also scared because I never really thought someone would give me a Suicune for a Vulpix. But I checked and it seems the Suicune is legit. It came from the good old days of Johto with a GBA marker on its summary page, level 40, JP language, but only has Roar in its movepool. Pokemon HOME didn’t flag it and I was able to transfer it to my Pokemon Shield.
Anyway, I just hope there’s a resolution for the scams you described that will work for the welfare of everyone.
I got Shiny Zacian, Zamazenta and Galarian birds from a youtuber, but they already were in home before. So now they stuck in Violet, or they still can be moved?

I mainly do Wonder Trade, unless there's someone I specifically want, so I can only get Shiny Pokémon at random. Guess that means I'm safe, huh?

when I get traded with a bot or generated Pokémon it usually contains ability patch/capsule/master ball/great items I just take that item and double it and give it to the next person :)

Yes it is shiny locked. 5 pokemon were shiny locked in the teal mask, with 30 shiny locked in the indigo disk

Ok now im confused,for the past 9 month's since Pokémon home became compatible with Pokémon go i transferred over the following to my Pokémon shinning pearl via the Pokémon home/go link feature:
1. Shiny Scyther
2. Tauros
3. Swellow
Im still able to transfer them back into Pokémon home with no issues and all 3 of them say the following in the description:
It seems to have traveled all the way across space and time itself to join me from Pokémon go. All 3 Pokémon i have caught myself in Pokémon go and all 3 have the little G icon on them as well.
That is completely normal. Pokémon transfered from any previous Pokémon game will have that text on them. Pokémon from mainline games will additionally keep track of their origin game by saying from what region they came from (E.g.: Pokémon transferred from Black & White will say that they traveled between space and time to meet you from the region of Unova). Such is the case for Pokémon Go, which will say just that. Hope this helps!
Out of curiosity with PKHex or whatever it’s called…are you able to make a Typhlosion and Hisuian-Typhlosion with every legit ribbon it can have from Gen3 and all the way to SV ribbons?!! I’m only wondering lol
Yes, you can. I don't think that Typhlosion is ever going to get out of Scarlet & Violet, but you can.

You can put genned Pokémon in home. You just can’t if it was genned outside of its origin game. You can gen a Koraidon for example because it’s genned in the game it says it was obtained in

so if you get a gennd pokemon from a bot. you can.t transer it to home.

I got a shiny mew from osirus stream but it wasn’t from him. It was from this guy named strings ytube and the mew came from the hoenn games but I don’t know if it’s legit or not
Something happened to me, I traded 2 Giratina's I tried to transfer both to HOME and the same error, then I transferred 1 to HOME and, no error! I transferred the other one and, no error! I don't know what happened...
HOME doesn't like anyone putting multiples of the exact same pokemon into it all at once (genned/cloned pokemon usually done for giveaways.)
E.G., Blaines recently did a Deoxys giveaway; if you got say 3 or 4 of those and tried to put them all in into HOME at the same time, even if you changed the form, HOME wouldn't like it and give you the error because they're the exact same generated pokemon.
So given your example with Giratina, I'm deducing you got them from a giveaway of sorts, and HOME didn't like that they were the exact same Giratina.
Would copying and pasting the Home code from a legit mon to the hacked mon fix it?
