How to tell if EVENT Pokemon are FAKE or REAL - Pokémon Sword and Shield Guide

- This video comes from another request\question that I see in the comments of my videos all the time. How can I tell if an Event Pokemon is hacked? So in this video I break down how I go about evaluating an event Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra DLC and why event Pokémon are unique (aka Static PID). SO, if you want to find out if your shiny event Pokemon that you got from a CZcams giveaway is real, watch this video. Hopefully you all find this video helpful and hopefully this keeps you entertained until we see the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet next week!!! This likely will be the last Pokemon Sword and Shield video for a while which seems crazy O_O.

Hey I have a question I got a shiny event Zacian in a giveaway and it has a 2023 date but has the correct event IVs so I’m unsure if it’s fake. The pp are maxed but looks like it was used for competitive. You think it’s fake?

06:43 The 2018 Legends Pokémon had 3 perfect IVs I can tell you. I remember having collected that set back in 2018. They're still in Bank, but I'll send them over to Home eventually. It's the only legal and legit shiny Zygarde to get as far as I know.

If I get a shiny Mew from virtual console Red and it has the GF trainer name it’s no good? I didn’t use external devices to get it, just in game glitches
I have Googled this but didn't find a clear answer on it.
I have two questions and I got the feeling this channel is the right one to ask these:
1. Are cloned Pokémon (for example as was possible in Emerald) legal?
2. I thought the difference between legal and legit is for example a Skitty caught in Emerald where when that Skitty got cloned the clone would be legit. Is this correct?
I found a giantina but I found out it was not available during Oras what should I do with it
do note that some event pokemon do have max ivs, such as the gamestop eternatus that happened a while back

Hey man, is it afe to use Golden Bottle Caps from random trades on breeded pokemon? Sometimes i get random Pokemon with things like bottle caps and items, if there from a cloned or hacked pokemon and i use them on my legit pokemon, do they become un-legit.?

About jirachi, keep in mind that there's a cloning glitch in emerald. So maybe someone got 1 of them and just cloned a ton of em and then transfered them over in mass 😅 is what i did with my shiny aurora ticket deoxys EHEM....
I have a question like I’m 100 percent positive my shiny foreign ditto is an illegal Pokémon it has perfect ivs. If I breed this Pokémon to get better ivs with other Pokémon will the other Pokémon be illegal as well?

My only legit event Pokemon I got was a Celebi at the Ware MA Gamestop, which I pal parked to HG/SS for the time travel event, then to Gen 5 for the Zoroark event.

I was around in event Trading back in 2016, we as a comunity where making profe videos from the download and checked the date and the SID with PKhex for being sure its not hacked. I have loads of checked Events in Language Sets, like Darkrai in ENG/FRA/GER/SPA/JAP/KOR iam so Hyped for the Home Connect for S/V

You didn't even actually cover the CORRECT way to identify this. ALL of your "points" are basically foolproofed nowadays. Yes, you covered the "obvious" mistakes that many make BUT you didn't cover the mistake that ONLY a sysbot would make. Thats the Date on the Mon summary. EG: If someone got a Shiny Galar Articuno with TODAYS date.. it's an obvious fake.

On the GTS, Pokémon with the Pokémon Go App logo are 100% legit because it proves that it never touched a Maingame

@shinylugia yes, but to place it in home it will have the logo of the last game it came from/ bank (the stamp, not origin mark), and cus you cant put the hacked pokemon into go, an hacked pokemon will never have the go stamp even if it has the go origin mark

Clone Pokemon are not legitimate they might look legitimate but it still using an outside source to regenerate the Pokemon or copy the Pokemon's data then recreating it making it fake
How can i tell a clone from an OG ?
For example in gen 4 the amount of wondercards was limited to 3 at a time, so its possible that they got deleted to make up for new ones

That's not true that is something that somebody who is starting to bend their belief you are literally starting to say that some unofficial clone Pokemon are legitimate in a funny way you're saying that right here in this video especially at the end for people who 100% play legitimately like myself that those type of Pokemon are still fake they have to come directly from the event you can't just clone it and say well it's not fair it's not fair that the kitties that are born in 2010 don't have a Pokemon that was distributed when they were just babies it's not fair it was perfectly Fair that is life and it's okay

Hey Rachel! I hear you and understand what you mean. And to be clear I was discussing it mostly as feasibility point in identifying them and explaining why the concept of Static PIDs breaks things a bit. In a weird way all event Pokemon are pseudo clones because of it but yes of course if you are playing things 100% legit if the Pokemon didn't come from the event itself you will know it's not 100% legit
Is it illegal for online battling or raid with a fake Pokémon? And I don’t really understand what the differences between a cloned Pokémon and fake? Isn’t that the same?
For example, I have a few Pokémon that I’m not sure if the real or not, can I battle or raid with them without get banned? Haha I’m so paranoid to get banned 😅 It would break my heart 🫠

I'd either keep it in a box somewhere or release it. Just dont put it online like in Pokemon Home :)
