- Today, we look at glitches that we're never patched out of Pokemon Sword and Shield. Things like getting out of bounds, cloning Pokemon, and fake eggs are all still possible! The current version for the game is 1.3.2, so as long as the version stays the same, these will still work. Enjoy!

It's funny that Scarlet and Violet has a glitch that allows you to duplicate items during a picnic. It almost feels like some strange spiritual successor to the curry glitch from this game.

Solution for the void glitch if you do not have the membership: make sure the hour in your Nintendo switch is at least 11: 50 p.m., shake the tree and put into the position then save the game and when it is at least 12:00 a.m. shake the tree and after running from the Pokémon you will enter the rock and be out of bounce. After that you can do all the things that the glitch has to offer

Also the second time you don’t need to shake it all the time just shake it one time and stop and you will be in the tree

The glitch where you name a Pokemon "Egg" works in Scarlet and Violet too! I decided to check it while watching this video, pretty weird.
Eyy, more Curry Cloning visibility! Always glad to see people finding it out. Also, if you think that 3 days for Salamence cloning was hard? I easily spent over a week, with several hundred curries, to clone some other stuff, like Moltres and G-Weezing.
Just as a quick correction: the clone is *basically* perfect. IVs, EVs, Happiness, Sociability, all that stuff gets cloned. However, some stuff changes, like location met, level met, pokéball used and some other metadata, as it is basically a new encounter. For some reason, it changes the original as well.
The most interesting tidbit, however, is that Pokémon encountered through Curries have the Curry Connoisseur mark. That means that the cloned Pokémon also gets the mark, which in some cases, creates illegal Pokémon, like with Salamence.
The most interesting Pokémon I managed to create like that was when I confirmed Eternatus. Used the shiny event one to replace the Cherish Ball, and it also allowed me to nickname it, which made it like, the most illegal Eternatus ever. Pretty fun.
May your video give me luck, as I am hunting a shiny Curry Pokémon. Currently over 48k curries made, over 9000 encounters, which makes it a 1500+ hour long hunt. I am in pain.

So is this the only way in the series to change a Pokemon's Poke Ball? Do we know if Pokemon altered in this way (ex: your shiny Eternatus not in a Cherish Ball) can be transferred to Gen 9?
You're *almost* spot on with the Egg Text glitch, there's one small difference: Eggs are considered nicknamed, internally. When the Pokémon hatches, the name is reset to the species name. The game does the "the" stuff when it detects the *nickname* of Egg. I suspect if the game were modified to have a species be genuinely named "Egg," this glitch may not occur in that instance, but someone would have to test this manually.
You're also *almost* spot-on with the IV Checker glitch. The game doesn't want you checking the IVs of an Egg, and it seems the game can't understand what you're doing when you cycle that menu while holding a Pokémon over an Egg.
I think the stunfisk one isn’t a glitch. As long as you don’t give any everstones they should hatch as galarian stunfisk since you are in Galar. Same with the meowths. The original form has to hold an everstone if you want the non galarian version.
That is correct; everstone has some weird effects in breeding. The short version is that if you're breeding a local variant and a foreign one, the everstone will always preserve the foreign one's form if it has to choose between them. Haven't tested it with Alolan/Kantonian meowth in Sw/Sh or Alolan/Galarian meowth in S/V.
Putting an everstone on both forms while breeding does have some uses for transferring Natures to foreign regional forms since otherwise you'd only ever get the 1 nature.
Was it tried with the Female being the original form and the male being the regional form, with the original one holding the Everstone still? Since base breeding from two different species keeps the mom's form(provided Ditto wasn't involved.)
You can also use the ranked battle time glitch to get infinite watts in the wild area
true! I made a "time traveling" video on this game a few years ago that has all the stuff you can do by changing your date, so I didn't wanna include them here. I'm also not sure if I would really count them as glitches or not
The egg IV check feels like intentional game design, when you have a Pokémon selected, you're checking the IVs of the Pokémon you're hovering over, since an egg can't have IVs it makes sense not to show anything.
This is not accurate. Eggs literally have IVs. In fact, everything about the Pokémon is generated already when you get the Egg. Being an Egg means nothing and is literally just a barrier to the fully generated Pokémon inside it. Eggs are literally full Pokémon just with a single bit flag enabled.
I'd love to see a video like this for bdsp now that everyone's forgot about it

@CWillyHD There is a video named: 1.2.0 BDSP glitch Dirt Ramp ( Read Description) the video says 1.2.0 however tried it on my 1.3.0 Brilliant diamond copy and it worked. So it still works. The name of the CZcamsr that has this video is named cracker.

The iv checker egg glitch could maybe be just a precautionary measure so that you can’t spoil the ivs of an egg? Like maybe it would show the ivs of something you hover over and they don’t want you to see the eggs ivs before it hatches?
For the bike turning glitch, I've encountered it quite often because I used to do alot of Masuda shiny hunts, and sometimes as soon as I would accelerate the egg would hatch and interrupt the acceleration. And as you would guess as soon as I get control of my bike again, I only turn widely. But what's weird, is this isn't 100% consistent, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.

There was (and I’m not sure if there is still) an egg glitch where if you gave a Pokémon a rare candy when it could evolve and held down so that the cursor went to the egg after confirming the use of the candy, it would evolve the unhatched Pokémon so you could get a lvl 1 evolved Pokémon

I've had the Rotom Bike Interruption glitch, just never gave it thought that it was a glitch in the game and not me being stupid. It happens a lot when I'm Masuda-ing.
that bike glitch has annoyed me so many times during masuda hunts, its just a small thing but it'd happen so often due to the eggs hatching

(Curry Cloning) I'm not sure how interested I am in cloning a Pokémon as I don't know whether the game or Pokémon home will consider it legitimate, but I do have a shiny Giratina that I'm wanting to bring to several different games but can't decide on which.
Plus I need infinite masterballs, Gamefreak really should have made gigantamax Pokémon easier to catch.

As long as the pokemon you clone is legitimate, the clone will also be legit. its a 1 to 1 exact copy of everything about the pokemon
There's actually a better cloning glitch in this game but it involves custom raids which im pretty sure you cant do anymore
@@Tsuchi Curry clones aren't 1:1 though which is the weird bit. They can have different languages from their met game, new illegal met locations, illegal Poke Balls, and more and still be able to go to Pokemon Home
You can go out ob bounds without the online membership, but it takes a while as the tree needs to reset naturally if you don't have the membership.
The bike turn rate issue happened every time an egg hatched while you were going fast, too. Really annoying.

I am pretty sure you can glitch through trees without spawning a pokemon. And you can do with any tree just can't go out of bounds.
there's an insane item dupe glitch that was a found like 3 months after the game came out (at the point they were still releasing patches), and it never got fixed

@@5TLKED its to do with releasing pokemon when talking to Ingo in jubilife. I think you release like 10 boxes (which gives u a lot of grit items that sell for a ton), then after that without ending the conversation you go to release more pokemon. This time only release one. it gives u the same number of grit items as the previous batch did even tho you only released one pokemon. rinse and repeat and you can make a few million in a couple hours

Pretty sure I almost done the clone Pokémon glitch once, once I done the cooking mini game I notice a Pokémon that wasn't in my party and I tried to look at it but one of my own Pokémon came to me wanting to join but I selected no because I thought it was already with me. No idea this could clone it. I could have cloned my only shiny and trade it to others.
The glimwood tangle even does that for normal trades

I bet the bug with the egg is that there is a stringify method on a Pokémon object, and when that stringify method is called to make a textual representation of the object, there is a logic condition in there that does a check on the name and if the name is “Egg“, then the name is set to “the Egg”. That explains why the entity isn’t treated as an egg functionally, but whenever it stringifies it presents itself as an egg.
Slightly wrong at 08:49, as I had to do this with an HA vulpix from vs red and an alolan vulpix to get an ha alolan, it kind of rolls the forms if you've got both holding, though unfortunately it could also lock nature.... that was a fun session but eventually got a 6iv ha alolan with +spe, -atk, multiple nature specific ditto are a godsend

If you turn off automatic save it shouldn't save when you hit a load-zone

15:10 Important to note that this glitch does NOT yield a 1:1 replica/clone, there are at least two clear differences (things that Home/online services may even check for legality). Firstly, the 'clone' will have a met location showing that it was a curry encounter. Secondly, the curry mark is a thing, and cannot be removed through normal means. This mark is illegal on many (if not all) of the eligible Pokémon.
I still shiny hunt in raid dens often, and I am so willing to try the duplication glitch once I (eventually) get a shiny lunala

@@user-du8bq5et8r Those are very specific glitches that weren't discovered sometimes until far after the games release. They require precise execution. The devs were heavily under experienced and underfunded at developing Gen 1 so it's understandable there were a bunch of oversights in those games.
These are major glitches that people can stumble upon through normal gameplay. Major difference between them.

in a curry hunt video it said that lunala wasn't recommended for hunting shiny pokemon coming to your camp as the glitch may happen to it, so give it a chance and you could get the glitch to happen

SwordShield will always be my most favourite Pokemon game (Just the Game, not Gen). Aside from being my 1st official pokemon game(not emulators), they have good new pokemon designs, sick soundtracks and interesting rivals. The only thing we miss was Sonia as Rival. Even when SV release, I casually hope on SS just to do the Legendary Raids
Finally. Someone who acts normal about SwSh :3 my first non-emulated game was Let's Go Eevee so im in a similar boat. I fully enjoy SS and SV, despite playing many older games on emulation.
Despite both their flaws, I really enjoyed Sword and Shield, and Scarlet and Violet, and it’s always really refreshing to see someone talking positively about them. If you don’t like either games (which lets be real you prbly don’t), then THAT’S FINE. As long as we’re all happy with our own opinions and are not attacking each other for them, then I can respect it.
I'm tempted to try and clone my shiny event Eternatus and trade those out for legendaries I'm still missing like shiny Deoxys

Egg glitch is sadly patched out. I think it was patched around first DLC but I could be wrong. I know it was pretty early in the game though
7:03 I noticed how hard it is to turn after speaking to an NPC, but not necessarily that it was related to this glitch.
It is *very* annoying, though.
And they will always stay unpatched.
GameFreak moved on from Sword and Shield.
I still have the MissingNo. Egg back when these games were relevant. So, i can duplicate literally any Pokémon with the help of this MissingNo. Egg. I put it in my Route 5 nursery like day 1 of getting it, never removed it since.

They will never fix all of this. Like ever . They were too busy covering the sinkhole for SV to even care about Sword/ Shield . Especially now that the DLC that will be coming out soon.

OOB one doesnt work. As soon as I got this game I got to this spot as fast as I could. Never could do it. Unless there is an easier way to do it....the way I was shown does nothing at all. I was on version 1.0 and it never worked for me.

i am so genuinely pissed that the bike turning radius glitch never got fixed. it made breeding incredibly annoying, and it was so obvious and presumably easy to fix (just add a little if zoomies=no, set turnradius=good), and they just never bothered to pay someone for those 30 minutes of time
yea I feel ya. This was like the only glitch that could just happen and would hurt players. The rest have complicated setups, while this one’s just “hatch egg while going fast”
