Wait can you connect this laptop to external monitor? I thought u cannot use the usb c port for external monitor.. please answer🙏🏻
It has a hdmi port (1.4b I believe), that I used to connect to an external monitor.
Hello, one question, how do you clean this laptop?, especially the grainy parts, thank u in advance
I usually use a microfibre cloth for the screen and just vacuum clean the keyboard
Do you edit with this same laptop? And do you recommend it for editing videos? Only for new growing channels? Not pro
Yes i do, but I'd recommend only for experimenting with editing. But well, I did start this channel with this laptop and a phone only, so I guess it is possible?
how is the performance of the SSD in reading and writing?
I've got the "SAMSUNG MZALQ512HALU-000L2" SSD drive in my laptop. My own CrystalDiskMark 8.0.1 scored a reading speed (R) of 1974.55 and a writing speed (W) of 329.02 MB/s (SEQ1M Q8T1). And measured for "SEQ1M Q1T1" = 1219.53 R + 344.99 W MB/s , "RND4KQ32T1" = 364.72 R + 214.51 W MB/s and "RND4KQ1T1" = 32.05 R+ 87.45 W MB/s.
@@PJ0J0 thank you very much, do you by any chance know if it's version 2242? I know that in some models there is a second ssd slot.
@@lollo99. I believe it was a M.2 2242, but I was also able to select a single M.2 2280 SSD when I ordered mine.
I have this laptop, having come from a god-awful Ideapad G50-70 it's a wonderful machine. I have the same sound issue, but I just got used to it, even if it is annoying.
I'm glad you like it too. Hope you can fix the sound issue by updating/downgrading the driver for sound.
Why do some models have plastic chassis and others have metal? I ordered this in Japan and it came with a plastic chassis. They are supposed to be essentially the same model.
I think they use plastic chassis in the big market to reduce the costs of their production. It really is tricky to get one with metal chassis outside of Europe (In Europe the market share for Lenovo used to be relatively small, I believe).
@@PJ0J0 I think models with a barrel charger have plastic chassis, and models with only USB-C charging get metal. All models have a metal display cover I think also.
@@ManiacsWorld it depends on the thickness: plastic 3mm and metal 2.4mm ^^
Thanks for the review i was going to go for the slim 7 but it's always sold out :'(
Too late for me, i took the 45 srgb version XD (Ryzen 4800u 16go) for less than 600€ ;)
how much the battery is holding after this 4 months use? thx
Good luck for your studies ^^ (i love math btw XD)
Well, at least you got a much better processor for a better price. On the battery: I only went through 22 charging cycles, as I mostly use it plugged in and on the Lenovo vantage "Conversation mode" while stuck at home. So I went really easy on the battery, but after 4 months I can still use it an entire day without charging and still have around 20% left (When studying using only pdf's and light web browsing at 80% brightness).
@@PJ0J0 awesome! This is exactly what i wanna use it for, for everyday use with some netflix in the weekends ^^
Thx a lot, keep up the good reviews 👍🏻
Some reviews says... After somedays it's running slow and lagging problem... Is this right.. honest reply please
For me it has been just as fast as day 1 so far. And the only time it started lagging was when I updated several things at once. So apart for some minor issues, it is the same as (if not better than) an average laptop in this regard.
sorry, I have the same notebook. Do you also go to stand-by after closing the lid after about 1 minute? why are there far fewer settings in power options than in other notebooks? Thank you very much, subscribe!
The standard setting is to go in stand-by / sleep mode after closing the lid. You need to dig deeper to configure this. For example search "Edit power plan" in windows search, it will open the control panel. Then click on "Change advanced power settings". There you can find more power options. Hope this helps.
@@PJ0J0 yes, I've tried. but in this menu there are only 4 macro categories, the one he recommended is not available.
