Came here to watch a divorce in real time. Learned how to build a cabinet instead.
this comment wins 😂
🤣🤣
Kudos to Mrs B for asking pertinent questions at the appropriate time and 'teasing' out valuable tips and aspects of the process that might otherwise have gone unmentioned.
Glad you enjoyed it
OMG! "That's what she said" 🤣You looked really surprised when she said that 😄
I was 🤣
This was such a cool format of video! As a beginner in woodworking, watching someone else learn and ask the questions that go through my head during this process was super helpful. All the tips and lessons are super relevant and relatable.
Glad you found it helpful
I agree completely! Great video! I hope to see more like this.
a true test of a marriage (and let me qualify this by saying, i've been married for 37 years); partner up with your spouse on a project and you will both learn something! Nice job Nicole!
Really an excellent teaching video, because your cooperative (& lovely) wife stands in for the viewer & helps demonstrate the learning process along with your teaching.
Thank you very much!
I could watch you two every week. The respect and love is captivating... plus great teaching.
Wow, thank you!
Great video, simple and easy process. So many golden nuggets to take away, great job and thanks for sharing you two!!💯💯💯
Looking forward to the next several videos. "It's a Moo point"...classic Joey.
She was so happy someone got the friends reference lol
my wife has the same humor, thanks for the video. you are a great teacher.
Thanks!
Learned three things:
1. Bent is a great teacher.
2. How to build a cabinet.
3. Bent out kicked his coverage.
3. This is accurate
Your wife should be very Proud of her achievements there 🙂
I love the word plinth, and it's not used nearly enough. Nicely done.
Glad you like it!
I like the approach - similar to Sedgetool - where you are teaching someone who is also part of the video. The act of teaching the other person conveys the same messages to the audience. The filming angles work this time also. And Mrs Bent versus Big D is a no contest.
We enjoyed doing it
Awwww. You guys are so cute. Nicely done. I’ve been considering a similar video series with my wife.
You should!
This is a great video guys, good preparation, good explanation and understanding. She didn't beat Jason to death. My only constructive criticism is that you both should be in a Leather by Dragonfly shop apron.
Calling something proud is mainly from the British dialects. It basically means raised above a surrounding area, similar to when someone is proud of themself, they hold a high opinion of themself. Great job, Jason, teaching Nicole how to make a cabinet. You both have a strong attention to detail and great communication! This was a very enjoyable video, and I hope Nicole wants to continue learning from you!
Thanks for the info Al 👍
Great video Jason.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the tutorial. Suggestion, use a piece of rubber drawer liner under the Kreg Pocket Hole jig to help keep it from sliding around. Or, use the dog holes to keep it still...
Great tip!
Waiting for Nicole and Ronnie’s grandmothers new channel to drop. Wedgefree Woodworking
What a brave man to film this. If this was me every thing would have went something like "Alright go grab that tool that you complained about and said I didn't need....yes that one! That's the tool you complained about. Bring it over here"
🤣
Can't wait to see the following installments!
I think you're on to something - nice to see you guys sharing something cool...what marriage should be!
Totally!
I literally thought this was your daughter at first 😂. Great video.
I must be getting old lol
@@bentswoodworking 😂 i didn’t mean that as a slight to you! Fun video.
Cool great and simple ,you are a good teacher
Thank you! 😃
I'm impressed by how patient you both are. My wife would be like. "that's not hard. I can do it, trust me" a few minutes later. "See, I've done this much. Now you just have to finish it off. Bye"
It went much better than expected
She is a very quick learner. If it were my wife and I one of us would have been dead in the first 5 minutes.
When you are proud you stick your chest out a little bit, hence the board sticking out a little.
Hello there, thank You for the beautiful videos. Please how are you painting your cabinets, I would like to learn from you on wether I should edge band the plywood if I’m to paint it or not, and how do you do the painting… thanks! I looked into all your video and didn’t find one that talks about the things I mentioned. Thanks again!
A brave man and an understanding beautiful wife…at first I wondered…what?….but I enjoyed this a lot !
Glad you enjoyed it
Definitely not the way I'd expect to see a drill Sargent teach a cabinet building class. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
😂😂😂😂 this title love it
Both of you are awesome...fun to watch.
Thank you so much 😁
Well done!
Can you use 1/4 (3/16) ply for the bottoms with those blum undermount slides? As long as you use half inch plywood and leave a half inch at the bottom.
I could never get my wife to be that patient of a student with me.
added to my playlist.
Great video, you sure explained everything
Glad it was helpful!
I was waiting for you to get the Domino’s out. That would have caused a divorce. 🤣🤣🤣
🤣
I am having trouble finding much information on the finishing of the inside of cabinets....I am building some vanities with unfinished Baltic Birch. shellac? sounds like poly hs yucks offgassing.
What kind of pouch are you both carrying on your belt? Thx!
Great video
Thanks!
You really happy man :)
I am!
What's the difference btwn a framed & frameless?
"i've been building cabinets with my wife for 73 years and this is not how you do it" - stereotypical youtube commenter. great video jason! loved how she threw in a "that's what she said" 😂
🤣
Great video. Also, congrats on marrying up. 😆
Thank you!! 😁
I'd be divorced if my wife knew how much lower our bank account was due to a garage full of Festool and top of the line woodworking machines. Good thing they sponsor you. :)
She's so cute!
Bent - since you have more Festool than anyone I know, would you recommend the standard Domino or the Domino XL? BTW - your shop is inspiring....dreams
500. I actually have a video comparing the two
@@bentswoodworking Thank you, I will definitely check it out.
In your "STOP overbuilding cabinets" video you didn't use pocket holes. Which do you advocate for?
I advocate for whatever ways works best for you. I can’t show the same technique in every single video or my channel wouldn’t add much value. Personally I will just build them with screws and staples whenever possible.
Nice work. Can we hire her?
If you want
48:48 Bent, Woodworking With Wes?
Now I know why festools are so expensive. Cause they give all the you tubers $50k in tools and all the non you tubers get stuck paying for it. I'll just stick with all my name brand stuff 😜
Hooefully this isnt high on the list of things you've taught your woman ways to keep you happy.
You were doing good until about the 5 min. mark. Then you started quizzing your wife on what you had said. Yikes. If you go back and look, she glanced to the side, for obviously someone else to get on the phone and contact that divorce lawyer you were talking about. Just kidding on all of this. Probably your military showing up.
I wife would not listen just starts as she thinks....
70 min of mansplaining!!😂
🤣
