    Great review and I agree with your opinion of the tires. I wasn't expecting much but they are fantastic on all terrain!

      I keep seeing a lot of great reviews on youtube and I'm considering getting one, but I gotta say I'm starting to notice a difference between the reviews I'm seeing from tubers who may have recieved the bike for free and/or have affiliate deals with AR, and the reviews I'm seeing from non-tubers on FB and the BBB. This company has an F rating on the Better Business Bureau, by the way. It sounds like a lot of these bikes are shipped with serious defects that lead to months of back and forth with a not stellar customer service. I'd like to see you and other tubers address this elephant in the room for people who are thinking about this bike. Theres way too many bad reviews online for this topic to be glossed over by youtube reviewers. How common are these problems? Are the defective bikes shipping 1 out of 1000, or is it 9 out of 10?
      I like what im hearing about the power. I'm 250 lbs and ride a lot in traffic, so I'm always getting in situations where I need to get out of a car's way asap. So I like what I'm hearing about the power. But I'm also a plug and play guy and can't stand products with a huge amount of set up or learning time, creating accounts and passwords, etc, and I have zero patience for defects and trying to get a hold of customer support. If I gotta call customer support for something I just bought, that is already a giant fail. I just want things to work correctly and be usable, and for a brand new product, I dont think that's unreasonable. So, I'd like to see some reviews that cover these specific issues, with feedback from viewers who actually own one. How long did it take to arrive? When you put it together, did it work correctly, or were there "problems." Were you able to use it immediately and consistently, or did it work for a week, and then you spent 6 weeks trying to get some non-defective part shipped? Was customer support supportive, or did Chloe belittle you and imply the problem wasn't their product, but your intelligence? Why do the AR responses on the BBB website seem more like they are condescending and trying to win an argument vs. trying to make sure you are good to go and super stoked on your new bike? THAT is the review I want to see for the Kepler before I spend $2K on one. Maybe these defcts are just anomalies, but there's definitely too many bad written reviews out there for this issue to be completely overlooked in the video reviews I'm seeing. I'd be really happy to hear more current owners chime in on this. Thanks.

      I'm currently torn between the X-52 and Kepler. Really curious which would be better for light off-roading such as riding on grass and dirt roads, although I mostly ride on paved bike trails.
      I'm 5'8" so kinda worried Kepler may be too big, and my only concern with the X-52 is the riding position. I like to sit more upright than being hunched over. Any thoughts appreciated

    • @geemy9675
      @geemy9675 Před rokem +1

      @@BeKindToAll03 Kepler is available in high step and low step flavours. min saddle hight 34" vs 32" you should take a bike , set the saddle height and see how those height work for you. the Kepler also has an adjustable stem that should allow you to be realtively upright. btw upright position is not good for off road, because your spine takes all the shocks if you're not standing on the pedals and absorbing with your legs. the X 52V had the advantage of rear suspension but smaller wheels 20x4 vs 26 x4, bigger wheels definitely roll over obstacles better. I think the Kepler has closer geometry to a MTB so better for off-road. the X-52 rear suspension should be handy to go 30+ mph over rough roads though or gravel/very light off road. Kepler has wider handlebars so better control off road especially paired with bigger wheels

    no one shows a shorter person getting on and off the Kepler. They just show them standing supported by a sidewalk, or riding around. What us short girls need to see is the actual getting on and off of the bike, as well as stopping without falling! My husband and I are awaiting the arrival of our bikes, so I just hope I can pull this off - meaning enough leg strength for this heavy bike when stopping, and getting on and off the bike safely. It's a big investment.

One last thing I just watch a "Randy Rides" video were he swaps out the stock tires tires for Veetireco Speedsters on his and he does a decibels before and after, A Lot Quieter so that's on my list too

    Nice review. About your pedal assist, you can change the number of assists up to 9 different levels on that bike. I own a Ride One Up 700 and I changed mine to 9 assists. Also on mine you're able to change the power levels on each assist. I don't know if that can be done on yours but if you can, once you get it the way you want it you won't have to keep changing it. There is a definite learning curve with these bikes. I don't go very fast too often on mine, but I got mine set up so good that I can barely tell the difference between gears and the shifting is so smooth that I can barely feel the shift. I'm retired and have knee problems and I wish I would have bought a step through also. These bikes are big and I have a rough time swinging my leg over to get on. I've been thinking of selling mine and have been looking at the Ariel Rider Kepler's step threw because they have more power. Not that I need the extra power I just want it. The price is right also. The way I ride I get over 70 miles on one charge. My battery is only 14 amp-hours. The faster you go the fewer miles you'll get on a charge no matter how you set it up. There are tricks to riding these bikes to maximize your distance. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun riding a bike. I hope this helps you with the assists. Either way happy riding.

    The step through does not make it much easier to get on. The battery is so large that lowering the cross bar doesn’t provide much more space. I recommend to people getting a drop post particularly with a bike this tall. I’m 6 feet and with seat raised to good pedaling height I can barely touch the ground. My only other suggestion is to not raise the maximum speed setting higher that you’ll go in real life. It preserves battery life and keeps the pas levels reasonable. Mine is set to peak at 1240 watts and is still sufficient to climb steep hills at good speed.
    Final note: if you can keep the pas at 1 or 2 while pedaling it significantly improves battery usage.

      Thanks for the input, I will give that a try on the fender. Even at 14mph, I feel it's too fast for my "chill" rides around the lake path with lots of people, 10mph is the fastest I want to go. I currently have two basic riding speeds: "Chill" speed which is 10mph, which I achieve through PAS1 at 30kph, and "Commute" speed which is 30mph+, which I achieve through PAS3 at 70kph. if the pedal assist 1 is going up to 20 miles an hour.. then you must of set the top speed at 99km/h , you should only need to set it at 55km/hour , the reason its doing 20 miles per hour on assist 1 is because it is dividing up the amount per hour on each pedal assist based on the top speed you have set . 55km/hour is 34miles per hour, which should be plenty. Then you will now start to see that pedal assist one is going to be much less then 20 miles per hour :)
