- My review of the Ariel Rider Kepler. This bike packs a lot of power from its 52V 1000W Motor internals and it can go as fast as 35+ MPH and all this for around $2000.

I weigh 224lbs & got 41.5 mph on it's first full charge on a flat road. After 600 miles 34 mph is about max now, throttle only.
Nice.
How much range bro ? Weigh 230
Great Review, this now #1 on my going to get it list 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice review. I just finished putting mine together. gonna go give er a rip!
Great review, helped me make a buy decision.
One of my favorite Ariel Rider ebikes! I currently have the Kepler and the X-Class. Grizzly is next!
⚡⚡⚡
St. Louis Represent!
After you put your glasses on at 4:30 you looked like you were going 75 mph! Nice. It was either this one or the Magicycle Cruiser Pro. I’m going with this one. Thanks.
Nice video SKB!

Oh, and just like the river, he's been running
Ever since.
It's been a long
A long time coming, but he knows
A change gon' come
Oh yes, it will.
Great review! I'll put it the Kepler on my shortlist: they are selling for $1500. Stay safe and watch out for river monsters.
awesome video editing! What mic setup do you have while riding? I hear absolutely no wind noise!
I'm using the DJI Mic.
How does bike handle longer/higher hills?
Thanks for the helpful information. Will you sell your Ariel Kepler? I'm in Illinois.
Comment for any E biker in California, I read the rules and it states that Ebikes cannot exceed 750 watts, so if you have a 1000 watt bike do you have to have a license to ride and for the bike? Want to buy one but I like the 1000 watt ones so any input would be appreciated.
Did yours come with a quick release front wheel? Because I just got a brand new one and it didn't, makes me wonder if I got an old model
I got a couple new ones today, the front wheels are nuts rather than quick release.
Did you put the petal assist at 9? If so, what did you adjust your top speed ? Thanks for your videos
Nice review. What camera & mic were you using?
Product shots and of myself, I was using the Sony A7S III. Riding shots, GoPro Hero 10 and Insta360 X3. Mic is the DJI Mic.
love mine , and I put a Bakcou trailer that is amazing
No discount code?
Cool.. Yeah I love my Kepler. Wouldn't say it's heavy as far as E Bikes go.. Most all E Bikes that size actually weigh more. Even smaller folding bikes and moped style e bikes weigh that much when they come with 20 ah batteries and front suspension. It's a good basic E bike with most all the things you can expect to start with. A little extra lighting, a mirror and new grips.. Suspension seat and a bag... Good to go. 😎
You gave me the main thing I needed to know off the bat, the weight! 73lbs. With or without the battery pack?
With the battery. 👍🏽
After adding the rear basket & changing the seat & seatpost, it bumped mine up to 88 lbs.
@@SoldierKnowsBest Okay, So how much does the battery weigh?
I don't understand why the maximum weight in this 1000 watts bike is 300 lbs while the Aventon Aventure been 750 have a maximum weight of 400 lbs.
9:00 Faster than a locomotive
😂
Lasted a year,1900$ ,just past warrenty, electrical issue, company could not care, want another 500-800$ to fix, waist of money, normal use of bike, honest review
Have heard a lot of negative things about this company. Long shipping times, bad packaging, bad customer service, cheap parts that work ok at first, not right and get worse with time. Hard to get replacement parts quickly.... That's if your derailer isn't bent, wheel spokes aren't loose and you brakes work from the beginning.
I This Bike, Can Get It To Go Over 20mph. What Am I Doing Wrong ?
They literally tell you out of the box it's set as a Class 2 bike so 20 mph is the fastest it'll go. You have to unlock it in the settings. I've never had an e-bike but the first video on it AND their website let me know that. You have the manual so you should know that already.
You need to test bafang ultra m620 bikes
Those are in bike shop territory in terms of price, and not idea for commuting. Don't get me wrong, I have a mid-drive mountain bike, but it is NOT a commuter. I have a different bike for that.
@@bindingcurve Huh? they are if you have enough battery. I used 30ah(dual battery) on my ultra and get around 120km to 140km(pedal assist). forsure for commuting.
@@Operation-InnerGravity "peddle assist*. Something tells me that the people who are considering purchasing this bike are preferring the throttle. And they want to go 50 KpH or higher.
@@bindingcurve anyone relying on throttle shouldn't get an ebike IMO.
@@Operation-InnerGravity running a m620, your not exactly relying on fitness, IMO
heard nothing but good things about these Keplers..Im just not a fan of those big wheels..still overall a solid bike
The phat tires seem to make the Kepler coast/roll forever😁 Suspension seat is a must for the Ariel Rider Kepler and you can get the Wicked Wired models with or without a rear suspension.
The only thing that I've found that sucks is the battery plug pins🤬 Not a fan of the Indian Motorcycle style low handlebars🫠
Never gonna buy from Ariel Rider again! Purchased one of their bikes from them and two years later when I needed a new battery for it they claim they don't sell them anymore. So I'm stuck with a totally useless bike. They suggested I try to contact the battery manufacturer and have them make me one. Can you imagine how much that would cost? May as well get a new bike. Stay away. Very poor support. Even more, their website says they are "out of stock" of batteries for their new line of bikes. Beware.
Ariel Rideal, I’m sure. That is a bad corporate decision!
Yikes that trail looks like a great place to get murdered in DC.
You guys with your top speed cracks me up. You do realize they make motorcycles. What makes the Kepler awesome is it's range while on low pedal assist and it's ability to ride the road to a hidden off-road spot and explore. If you want top speed buy a motorcycle
Maybe some people want both? Not bad thing... A ebike with a high top speed can still do all of the things you listed and a motorcycle can not. All good if you want a fun cruiser and all good if you want to go as fast as possible on a electric powerplant. Why does it matter?
Don't forget to respect your local ebike laws. And always wear a helmet.
Yeah... Or you could buy a moped for the same price. 100 mpg and conquer any hill, im not sure why people are so keen on these
U really can't figure it out huh 🤨
@@pizzaenthusiast69420 i mean I've personally had 3 different escooters and an ebike, and from personal experience they haven't lasted long enough for me to recommend them.
The problem mainly as battery replacements are an arm and a leg, and ebike theft rates are extremely high in san Francisco (where i live)
Yes, people have tried to steal my moped, and have even broken into the battery area before. But i would take someone doing that over stealing my entire bike.
I like the fact that you can get a little exercise, don't have to insure, register, ride on the sidewalk if you want, ride on trails, beach no gas needed, easier to maintain, you can ride with your kids on their bikes(ever try that with a moped?) and easier to transport transport than a moped.
No fumes/pollution, no gas to deal with, quieter, cheaper to run, no license/registration/license plate necessary, able to ride anywhere, etc.
@@baddriversofcolga you don't need a license under 50cc. Also, is driving without an education for road rules really an advantage?
Get a Wired Freedom. 60v system, better than the Kepler. Full suspension, faster, better on hills, bigger battery, $400 more than Kepler without the poor customer service.
It’s more than a $400 difference with shipping and insurance is close to another $300 I do agree money aside the Wired is a better choice
