I FOUND THE FIRST SHMEEMOBILE! My Old Aston Martin Vantage Roadster

- After many years, I'm re-united with my old Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, which was the first ever Shmeemobile! Heading over with the GT8, the memories quickly come flooding back when I take out my former car for a run, and what a special drive it is.
Back in 2010, I bought the V8 Vantage Roadster as my first serious sports car and what a dream the ownership experience was as it became very much my gateway to the automotive world. The first ever video on the Shmee150 channel where I spoke to camera was at the wheel of this car, the first ever road trip I covered with vlogs was in this car, and it was the first car we ever named the Shmeemobile!
Finished in Glacial Blue over a Sandstorm interior, it's a particularly beautiful specification of the facelift 4.7 litre V8 Vantage Roadster. Boasting 420hp and the Sportshift gearbox, by modern standards it's lacking but that does nothing to detract from the experience as all of the sounds and feelings come flooding back from those fun years from the past. In summer 2012 I sold the car, so to head back over to see it exactly 9 years later is quite the opportunity.
After pondering where the car might be a few months ago, by complete chance the current owner took it to an event, where another attendee forward me some pictures and we were able to make the introduction. I can't thank him enough for this special chance, because honestly it's a story, it's a significant car for me, and it really played a big part in everything that I do on the Shmee150 channel to date.
Would I buy it back? Well let's see, you never know.

Idk about that, don’t get me wrong I’ve been a long time follower and the Vantage was one of the first proper motors he had himself on the channel, but let’s be real, the R8 V10 was the catalyst for Shmee’s success, it’s the most iconic Shmee car for me.

Are the numbers on the wall because it’s a storage where people usually rent out one or two spots with multiple people renting spots but you rented out one side because you have that many cars ?

What a wonderful spec that Vantage is! So glad that you were able to find it. I know I've said this before but I stumbled upon your channel after looking up a Fuse 22 delete for the Vantage. Been subscribed ever since! I even remember making a replica on a video game as well! This roadster really solidified my love for the Vantage! Super cool that you got to meet the owner and even drive the car! I'm sure it felt like home!

4 years back I had traded-in my car and got a new one, since I live in India it's nearly impossible to track cars because quantities are too much. 3 months back I was driving to another city and fortunately by coincidence my old car was driving ahead of me; that feeling.... that moment..... I was completely lost in beautiful memories (as that was the car on which I learnt to drive). I wanted to stop the owner but he was going somewhere with his family hence I didn't; this video made me remember that moment and relive it again😍 only true automotive enthusiast can understand this feelings. Thanks Tim for making such videos 👍🏻

Definitely brings back memories for many of us discovering your channel in the old spotting day's. Buy it for the Shmuseum, I'm sure the owner would be glad to sell it to you for the story if you offer a very good price and help to find a replacement.

@Shmee150 I LOVE the GT8. And your first Vantage is a great car. I always prefer a manual gearbox but I get what you mean when you said that you can go through the gears and not be going excessive speeds. Awesome video, glad you got to reconnect with your previous Aston 🤙🏻 love the glacier blue too

I'm not a convertible guy, at all, but man that car is elegant in that colour and with those wheels. I'd be proud to own that.
Damn! This car is one of my earliest memories of the channel! The Blue Vantage with the 87 TB plate if I recall right? And Eventually, the violet of the R8 was also one of my favorite colors - a delight to see the 675LT spider in violet thereafter. I also remember the MrShmee150 short updates channel back in those days.
