I said that V12s are even better when they come in pairs! Enough teasing, it's time to collect my 2011 Aston Martin DBS in Midnight Blue, and what better than to head up to McGurk Performance Cars in my newly bought Ferrari GTC4Lusso for the occasion.
I've long been a fan of the older shape Aston Martin DBS, one of the most beautiful designs of any car in my eyes and very relevant to my personal history having owned the V8 Vantage Roadster back in 2010 and dreamed of upgrading it to a DBS. However, it was when we visited McGurk's recently with that very V8 Vantage for a full inspection and to kick start the maintenance, that I stumbled upon this extraordinary example of the DBS.
The vast majority of these cars are black, grey/silver, or white, with many in Casino Royale, following in the footsteps of James Bond 007. However, it's very unusual to find one that's factory painted in a shade that isn't greyscale, and for me as a blue fan in particular, this Midnight Blue car stood out a mile away. In fact the very moment I saw it for the first time is captured on camera on @TheShmuseum channel!
Regardless, here it is, ready to be brought home to the garage in style with the Ferrari GTC4Lusso. It's been a period of absence for a V12 equipped car in the collection, but there are now two and they mean business!

Yeah his excitement was pretty high, and they showed it more than once. Then they tried to play it off by saying look no DBS in the Shmuseum. Lol

Jesus… chill out dude. He has somewhat wealthy parents so he got a little help in the beginning and then got lucky with getting that Aventador crash on camera which made him a pretty penny on ads and got him a fair bit of recognition on CZcams. He’s worked hard and has a lot of experience, that you can’t deny, but to say he was ordained to have all this is false, he just worked hard, had a pinch of luck, and has a lot of experience. Almost anyone can have what he has as long as they work hard and do good.

That generation of Astons from the mid/late 2000s are amongst the most beautiful cars ever, imo, both the Vantage and the DB9/DBS. So I obviously wholeheartedly agree with your choice, Tim! The DBS looks bloody marvelous!

I had myself a 2007 DB9 in that colour. Wasn't my first choice at first as I like my Astons in grey as I think it suits them well, but after a while this colour really grew on me. This colour really does suit the car well.
Lovely. I like the colour too. Only going up in value now I think. I do think the interiors are a letdown on Aston Martin's though, especially the bus steering wheel on these older models 😞

I had a feeling it was Tim that purchased it as i checked their website and it was listed as "Sold" when you guys uploaded the video of sending the V8 Vantage for repairs. Both your V12s are gorgeous. I know your ownership satisfaction from these two will be greater than practically anything you can buy currently. Barring the 812 and GT3, There is no reason to buy a new build car anymore because they won't be as fun to drive, sound as good or be as light as the previous model. Who needs gimmicky new tech anyway?

This is actually my dream garage, when I finish training. A 2012 Aston DBS in manual, and a GTC4Lusso in v 12 form. Great taste man!

I love these, they look so good! I think the DBS is my favourite Aston. The plate quote is hilariously ironic, with you having just bought an 11-year-old car to preserve an engine which will be lost to time sooner rather than later, thereby standing still and now evolving with the times.
