Borrowing Tavarish's Aston Martin DBS Manual! Maybe NOT Giving it Back

- I've borrowed Tavarish's manual Aston Martin DBS, and there's a chance I'm not going to give it back! Visiting Freddy at his Wrench Every Day HQ, having last year delivered his V12 Vantage, this time I'm taking a car away and it has to be the DBS. Let's see when he's getting it back...
After taking a full tour with Freddy around his workshop and an update on the car collection, this time it's all about the Aston Martin DBS. In direct James Bond 007 Casino Royale spec, it's one of the most elegant cars of all time, and certainly a very iconic machine that I've considered purchasing on previous occasions too. However, with the car being in need of some upholstery work down in Miami, it makes sense that I'm taking it for the journey down.
With high expectations before the drive for a manual, V12 Aston Martin, but my first time in a manual DBS, let's see how it goes down and whether it's one to consider to join my Vantage GT8 in the Shmeemobiles in future.

A vehicle quite worthy of your collection, I believe Puppi150 and Jeremy Clarkson also have it on a list of favourites. The DBS V12 Manual, Porsche 911 997 Turbo Manual, a couple of great cars from that era which will both continue to appreciate, so you can't go wrong really.

The design language of the Astons is really timeless it still looks so fresh and has no bad angles 😍😍😍 there are only a few cars on the road that provide that

The DBS cold start is one of the greatest sounds ever.
This is without a doubt one of my favorite cars and when I 1st seen this in the movie in James Bond . I said to my self I must have it!!! Good to see you back in the states doing the rounds. That era of Astons was some of their best styling. Still a very nice looking car.

It's really interesting that he mentioned amelia island. Back in 2017 i went to the festival of speed there and there was a guy there that had one of these Astons on display and he said he was one of the engineers that worked on development of the car. He had pictures and everything explained alot about aston martin history as well as issues at the time. I wish I remembered his name.

Tim, i can assure you that there are many Americans who do appreciate the beauty of the low-slung Aston Martin. It is a show stopper in my opinion. Just the other day, here in Boca Raton, I saw on A1A an all black Aston with red calipers and it really caught my eye.

Being he's in Florida anyhow, I can't help but think how awesome it would be, to see that purdy new Ford drifting around the Freedom Factory!... Since Cleetus is so generous, as to offer up a run in Ruby to most any competent driver, how awesome would it be to see Tim take her for a 7 second rip down the quarter mile?!? Hell, maybe it's just me, but it seems like it would make for one helluva a video!

I remember the first time I saw this car in 2009 when I was 5 and I was like isn't this the same thing in James Bond and I'm like I gotta have that car it's so beautiful and elegant and marvelous, still hoping but my day will come🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Kind of an odd question, but when you do eventually take the gt500 back, will it go with the other shmee mobiles or will it be somewhere else? I just realized that they aren't legal to get in Europe.

The SLS BS sound system was done at the end of 2020 but sadly I've not been there to go collect it

Just bought an Aston Martin DBS manual. Car is very special and is completely different from a DB9 (I used to own one). The DBS is not only a joy to drive it is absolutely stunning visually. And as Tavarish said it kind of flies under the radar. You can drive this car every day and go anywhere with it without being "noticed" apart from those who know what it is and appreciate it. It just provides everything one would want in a luxury GT.
Dram car, Rick Ross spec DBS cab. Silver paint, silver wheels and that red leather! One of the best looking cars ever made

Db9 always been my fave car, when Clarkson first drove it to i believe monte carlo race, I wanted one and became my dream car, I get what Tavarish says i had it as my pc background! not the fastest car or anything but one of best looking cars ever and also great british engineering! and the sound is just pure heaven!
You should definitely buy one of these. It's one of the best looking cars out there in my opinion.
