Corvus beaks me to sleep almost every night! …which is weird, you’d think my history with medical trauma would make “plague doctor with questionable practices” not exactly my thing, but…what can I say, he’s very relaxing 😂
You know, I feel the same way. I have medical trauma as well which was recently renewed by a week in the hospital last month (without getting too graphic, I am almost impossible to stick with a needle due to tiny rolling veins, so it was a week of nightmare IV attempts and blood draws while very ill) so I tend to avoid 'medical' RPs. I think it's the fact that the Plague Doctor is so far removed from 'real' medicine, so he won't be doing anything that reminds me of an actual hospital, combined with the comforting bedside manner that I wish I'd experienced which makes this an exception. It's like a fantasy ideal of being taken care of in a hospital, so it doesn't put me off the way more realistic ones do. Besides, who doesn't love a good beaking??

Right before I saw this video I had made myself a big bowl of warm rice and a cup of tea, and honestly that coupled with such an exquisite beaking really was the perfect end to a very long day
ER is the only Asmr Artist Iv seen who can make plastic over the mic covers sound like liquid. Even if other artists tried to recreate this sound I dont think they could come close. The tightness of the plastic wrapped around the mic covers plus the Plague Doctor beak makes this sound 100% unique to Ephemeral Rifts channel. This unique creativity, high quality content and lore Ephemeral Rift has created on this channel over these last 10 or so years is what keeps people watching !
I am in constant pain, so Corvus giving me a special Beaking is one of the few things that help me sleep. I would subjugate myself to all his experiments if he would just turn off my pain.
ER is always on point with just about every video he makes, it’s uncanny. All of the characters he embodies and novel ideas he tries out always succeeds in making for great videos. That being said, I think Corvus is an easy favourite of mine. There’s just something about his slower, more methodical way of speaking and moving that I find really hypnotic. His accent and occasional bits of broken English are adorable, and for a character that can come across as both mysterious and intimidating, he’s still capable of being very kind-even if he’s clearly hiding something or not being entirely honest. Trying to get some sleep because I'm anxious about tomorrow for my first ever driving test. I'm 22 and still don't have my license because driving has always terrified me. The testing center is 2 hours away from home so it feels like huge pressure to pass because I don't want the trip to be a failure. But if I pass I can finally have a weight off my shoulders and I can be way more independent. And I won't have to bike to work in the cold anymore haha. Thanks for the calming beak, Covus ❤️.
