So the $1800 price tag of the 10" is holding me back. Is the price jump to the 10" IQ worth it in your opinion? It looks like the 7" fit the bill perfectly for you on this job.

    When tiling shower walls I tile the back wall first then when I spread the adhesive on the side wall, I put the silicon on the inside corner against the back wall tile and the side wall adhesive, then I push the side wall tiles into the silicon just enough so it will not show through the grout, the silicon then holds the corners together and shouldn't leak. I personally don't like to see silicon on the inside corner of tiles

    • @LandbergTileTV
      @LandbergTileTV  Před 3 lety

      That shouldn't be necessary if you properly waterproof your shower. Tile and grout is not waterproof. We run color match silicone so that the grout does not crack when expansion and contraction occurs.

      Yes, pencil trim. Two choices, either cut the bottom row at 1.5" and the top the same, cut a 1/2" sliver at the top, or install pencil trim and miter both sides where the walls meet. We like full tiles to start on the flange or shower pan. This looks the best when you have odd shower ceiling height.
