What the hell was that magic!! Lmao on a serious note, you need to go over that trick with the cut-in grout lines!!
The cut-in simulated grout line trick was 👌
Thanks my man! 👊
Nice work man! As a kitchen and bath Remodeler myself, I can appreciate a fellow tile guy who takes pride in his work!
Mind blown wit da trick at the very end!! So slick Liggy Liggy Landberg!! Enjoy the rest of you weekend big Homie. Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks brother! 😎
Cool drain. Can't believe I've never seen that before. All showers should have that.
Super Clean!
Go Berg!
You’re a real pro there man!
Amazing!
Awesome!!
Awesome you got your truck back!👍🏻
yes sir!
Great video, nick trick with the tile toward the end of the video
Nice 👍
Soaking the tiles is a new one I haven't seen before. I assume that's so they don't suck up the mortar, and you can skip the back butter and install faster. How long do you let them soak?
Also, love the fake grout line trick!
we soak them until the bubbling stops 😎
@@LandbergTileTV thanks for the pro tip!
Haha that ending got me. Nice trick at the end. I've done that with porcelain...was always afraid of ceramic being such a week body.
Also if you use fast set thinset would it be necessary to soak the tiles? I always thought that when using waterproof wall boards it wasn't a good idea to lock in the moisture so I use fast setting thinset for ceramic....would love for others to chime in on this.
Brilliant , That's how you do it 👏👏👌 ... How is the DeWalt DCD130 60v working out for you 🤔
Ok, what was that little trick at the end? Cut a connecting grout joint into the face (and rub stone I presume?) only ever seen that once. It worked, but made me nervous. I’d like to see that up close!
on the next video! 😎
It’s so you can have a more solid piece instead of cutting small tiles and leveling them. Works as to match the grout lines going from the other walls. I usually do 1/8th depth for the grout to hold . This guy is awesome by the way!
@Bret Martinelli well know it all did my mother's over 15 years ago with the same amount as this video still working just fine tile an everything perfect no effect from the leftover glue
4:20 yea that caught my eye as well. Seems like someone on there advertising/ design team forgot to read the companies policy.
Great work! Do you ever tile door archways? Would be great to see how you accomplish that! Maybe a demonstration for your viewers? Keep up the great work!
That's a great idea, thanks for the watch and comment!
Another awesome video of course.I love the idea of using a tileable drain grate but what are the pros and cons, is it removable for clogs and Cleaning. Love the video as always please keep them coming. “FLIP”
yeah, super easy to remove for clogs and I'll keep them coming! 😎
Schlüter specifies that tiles smaller than 2" are not to be used on Ditra. (However there is a work around for doing so.) You CAN use the penny tile on the foam shower tray.
thanks for the info, and for the ditra, flat trowel the thinset in and let dry prior to installing I'm assuming.
@@LandbergTileTV Exactly. Keep up the impressive installations!
Can you show that drain install in detail. The hidden drain looks awesome!
Also, is the drain cover removable for maintenance?
Can any tile be soaking in water or just this type? buttering take to much time.
Like the look of the niche would like know where you get the sill that looks close to the subway tile.
Thanks! Lowes have quartz on the shelf and Floor and Decor as well.
OMG fucking awesome. thanks again. u rock.
👊👊👊
Nice work!
How you keep the wall boards flat ?
Thanks! and wet shimming
Heavier people stepping on the river rock can dent the foam pan underneath. Also if you drop something on the river rock it will dent.
Never will that happen.
What state are you in?
what are the names of the blue clips you used on the wall? link pls
also greetings from Poland :)
Lippage Eliminator by Primo Tools. Got them at our local tile shop and they break off super clean! The wedges are super cheap and brittle though. Not available online yet...
I’ve heard that soaking tiles makes the mortar “disconnect” from the tile, im confused😅.., are there specific tiles that fo need to be soaked?
Soaking ceramic helps slow Down the curing the process. Ceramic sucks the moisture out of thin-set very quickly. I have hear of people having issues with darker grouts flashing when they soak there tile because the thinset wasn't totally cured when they came back to grout
I'm needed a replacement 7in blade how did the iq blade work on there?
It works great, much better than anyone understands. If you cut a lot of porcelain, this blade will last a long time with a wet saw!
Can u explain the euro-trowel? Or however you spell it? I've done lots of showers and floors and never understood the need for them?
This one is the Tiger euro trowel and it uses a special design to help coverage by using different size notches. What's cool is it can be used on thick tile, thin tile, large format or small format. The notches basically collapse into each other giving you good coverage.
Where can I buy a monolit mini or regular?
contractors direct
what size grout line is that? 1/16?
Yup, 1/16 is what we normally use and like
What size trowel do you use for the smaller tiles on the shower pan?
V Notch trowel for our shower pans
@@LandbergTileTV any certain size for the v bitch? I know there are a couple different sizes. Also could I use a 1/8 square trowel for the size tile instead of a v notch?
I have never seen anyone soaking these subway tiles in water… why was that done? Was it necessary?
Not necessary, but helps so you don't have to back butter
Can so
A couple things…it is rather stupid that schluter says not to use small tiles on the preformed pans but on the box it shows the penny rounds…never understood that one, and why go through the trouble of the leveling shims in such a small bathroom with such a large trowel that is putting down plenty of thinset for the any installer to easily deal with laying that floor smoothly. 21 years in and I’ve yet to use them.
If that tile is bowed like most planks are (some are bowed quite a bit) you won't be able to get absolutely zero lipage like you can with the clips. Definitely not on a 50 percent offset
@@mattjudy6780 on the wood planks I install, I usually run a totally random lay…instead of a perfect 1/3…turns out looking more like wood
@@Rustyshackleford752 gotcha. A friend of mine does their's that way
so I am not alone in making fake joint lines 🤣😂
