    I'm going to modify some Sirocco height adjustable seats for my Rabbit. I need to change out the slide rail and the seatbelt latch connector onto the Scirocco bases. I want to keep the stock seats stock and just get the parts to weld on to the other seats.

    • @MysteryGarage

      Sounds like a cool deal for sure!! the height adjustable is clutch for sure!! Thanks for watching, appreciate the support!!

    I'm starting to fall in love with this Jetta now, too! Can't wait to see it with the bumper tucked and the euro front, if you can get that matching rear bench installed and a little foha rear spoiler, I think it will be perfect! 👌🏽🐢☠️

    Being 6'3" I've been there with a mk1 Jetta. I used S2 Scirocco seats as it was my budget fix and was almost a perfect match to the Jetta. Also had those recaros in a mk2 Jetta and there were the best I've ever had. Throw those Estis on for sh*ts and giggles...you may lose the rub too

    • @MysteryGarage
      @MysteryGarage  Před 3 lety

      Hahaha being tall in small cars lol! I love these cars though and wouldn't trade it for anything!! Scirocco seats are awesome too!! Thanks for watching, appreciate the support! Cheers!!

  • @calvincalliezgovender6202

    The Jetta looks so good. Personally, I would love to see it lower, but that's just my preference. Great content as always bro. 💪 keep going strong. Btw if the Jetta steering wheel suddenly goes missing, it wasn't me. Lol

    • @MysteryGarage
      @MysteryGarage  Před 3 lety

      hahaha, ya it will come down when i do a wheel change down the road, these poke because of the adapters and to accept more low it would require the arches to be full modded. I dont intend on rolling these speedlines forever it was just a fun trial thing, so once i settle on a wheel, ill dial it in! Cheers!!

  • @EmardGarry
    @EmardGarry Před 2 lety

    Can you do a tutorial on how you custom fit those in a mk1. I think these seats would be the biggest difference that I could make in my 82 jetta

  • @miketeeveedub5779
    @miketeeveedub5779 Před 3 lety

    Mystery Garage: "These stock seats don't dump..."
    Me to myself: "So who needs that? I'm 5'11" and have plenty of headroom in my Mk1 Jetta..."
    Mystery Garage: "...and I'm 6'4..."
    Me to myself: "Oh...yeah. Definitely a problem! Big boy in a small toy!" 🤣
    Bought me a set of TuningArt VW Golf/Jetta MK1 Coilovers. I like them as they have a separate set of threadable mounts at the bottom of the shock. This way you can independently raise or lower the height without needing to adjust pre-load on the springs. They're fairly inexpensive and surprising durable too. I've had them for 4 years and they work great. Solo-Werks are nice too - good balance of ride quality and sportiness.
    BTW - Gotta love the workout you get adjusting the ride height. "Wheels off - wrench wrench wrench - wheels on. Check ride height. Not quite there. Wheels off - wrench wrench wrench - wheels on. Check ride height. Still not there...' Gets old real fast...

    • @MysteryGarage
      @MysteryGarage  Před 3 lety

      Hahahaha so true right!! TuningArt hey? I used to have a set similar in adjustment in an old mk2 i had, worked awesome but i haven't seen them for a mk1 like that, have to look them up! Thanks for the tip!! Appreciate the watch and the support! Cheers!!

    6’4” here and appreciate having the back of the seat 1-2” lower. I’ve fitted b4 Audi power seats in my Mk1 project - lots of cutting & welding but they fit me and work nicely. What’s the reference to “Atlantic Fox” in the title?

    • @MysteryGarage
      @MysteryGarage  Před 3 lety

      A must for sure!! As for the title part, Jettas were branded differently depending on your market and where you live in the world. A VW Alantic is basically a mk1 jetta marketed in Mexico, while the fox name was used for the jetta marketed in South Africa... fun facts... considering the North American VW Fox is very different lol. You can look it up, The coolness behind these cars keeps growing the more you dig! The vw atlantic therefore is a great source for replacement parts! Thanks for watching, appreciate the support.
