  • My electric Bafang Ultra powered Emountain bike was having issues with too many pedal strikes as compared to my other bikes. I decided to lift the front end and therefore the pedals by installing a 29" 160mm travel air fork in place of the 80mm 27.5" fork that came on the Ebike.

That is a big jump and fork length. Are you able to keep your front wheels down on climbs?

3arrows - I really don't notice any rideability effects from the longer front fork. Your natural riding position seems to make up for it without thinking. i do notice the longer travel and elimination of pedal strikes!!

Did you try installing shorter crank arms ?

Castor, there are 70 mm and 65mm crank arms. I needed 25mm so I figured 5mm wouldn’t make much difference. Ride safe!!😀
