Good video just like all the others you've created. I so wish there was someone like you but an engineer not architect to showcase the structural design and analysis of the same concept.
You are the boss @BalkanArchitect. Taking BIM to new heights :)
loved it. worked flawlessly. Nice introduction to those patern based families for me.
I am really thankful for you, I was making a mistake for a week and I understand what is my mistake and I did the roof :) thanks again for your video:)
U are so good and i love your tutorials, i am just a student of Architecture 2nd year and i am way advanced then my classmates in terms of softwares especially revit where everyone else stumbles, Just because of u sir, For me u r the best revit instructor. Truly complimenting, keep up what u r doing and god bless u 😊
This tutorial was amazing.... please make more tutorials on parametric architecture in revit. These are really useful. Thanks
A simple, easy and beautiful explanation.....
I found a solution to the flipping roof in the model. If you see the roof pattern inverted, select the roof in 3D, go to "edit in place" and then in the properties check "component flip" under "pattern application". That's it, you'll have your form right!! This might change the positioning of your roof but you can move the entire roofing unit.
thank u so much
Thank you so much
U r the best🥺❤️
you just save my project, hahaa thank you

very good and useful tutorial
Really nice! Do you think we can make some of them transparent and some of them opaque? Interchange the panel family? Thank youu!

Balkan Architect we will wait xD
Awesome video 💓💓
Bro, you are amazing.... thanks
Talk of magic
Could you please upload the family again ?
Very helpful indeed.
hey, can you make a tutorial about how to clean up the last bit? where the building and roof intersect?
Yes this would be very important. Because we see how he creates it, but how would it be made with precision? Woul be essential to have a tutorial on how to properly anchor it to the building, to the pilar and how those triangular shapes would deal with eachother. This is just a basic tutorial without any professional details, it's good for a concept but not so efficient for construction. Nevertheless another nice video.
Dear,
I want to thank you for your very good tutorials, really I am interested in your tutorials. About this video, I visited the link in the description to download the pattern, but I saw it that it has been removed from the site. So, please can you put it again.
My regards

Thanks for sharing.. How can we make this frame analytical? for structural design
hi balkan,I have a question: when do we use model line and reference lines and what is the differences between them?
Very good tutorial as usually you do. Keep on it. Waiting for next ones. Espially about families and topography tricks
Thanks! Will do! :)
@@balkanarchitect I need your help, why does the created pattern not follow the lines grid (it’s rotated but I don’t rotate anything)
Thank you
when i try to move any of the reference point the frame is loosing its connectivity on 4 sides, what is the modification to be done for this error??

Hello! I made this as my project in school I followed every step but it seems like the family made were inverted, it's inside out. The glass material was inside and the steel once were on the outside. I hope you can help me. Thank you so much!
I did it!Thank youuuu! But there is one than other mistake between the joint they are one on top of the other like roof tiles. What did i do wrong?😅
When do we use reference line and model line? What's the difference?
Muchas gracias, esta genial
thank you very much
Great tutorial but why does mine not connect with the other curtain panels?
couse it takes time when u design; Do you think is it still good for initial design? For 3d sketching?
hey B.A., I just started using Revit for my Thesis project, and your tutorials are really very helpful.
Could you please tell me where to get the material library, I can see you have a nice collection, so, can you please provide me with the material library?

i am trying a curtain panel family but referance line is not yet because no snap in referance point pls help any body
We would have how to number each bar in order to produce a table with classification of size and shape for each numbered bar. this would help a lot in the quantity of materials and for budgeting and assembly purposes in the execution? Thanks for the video. Brazil thanks you.
How do you attach wall to roof ?
While we were in working on a project we have to make such type of drawing?
HELP! My 3D doesnt show the structure but apprears in Elevation & it says "Warning! Mass contains only mesh geometry, which can’t be used to compute Mass Floors, volume, or surface area."
Hi, followed very carefully but get an error message 'Can't make type "Rectangle : Family3". Any ideas what this could be?
I have the same problem :(( and i did everything following the tutorial 😰
Could you pleasw teach us how to model sydney olympic railway station roof plase..
im not getting it properly :( the panels are all overlapping and don't resize according to the grid and they are not seamless the way shown in the video . Any solutions?
please make the family available again :) pleas as soon as possible
Thanks !!!!!!!
could you please upload the file again, it is gone
Thank you for the excellent explanation, and I have a question, please. When I inserted the pattern, it was placed in reverse, meaning that the crystal came from the bottom of the ceiling and the beams above it, so what is wrong?
(from /3d view/ select the roof /edit in place/select the roof/properties /pattern application/component flip=ok )
Sir. I need help in this tutorial.
it says it cant make it? and offers to delet type?...why isnt it loading correctly

Select "Component Flip" in the Properties.
@@rokaskundrotas4805 help for this its appear upside down
thanks!!!!!
Hi thanks for the video, just one question, when i picked the family into the grid system, the module is linked on the bottom, but upside always ends unlinked, like the 4 corner wont ever join...could you tell me what i am doing wrong?
Did you find the solution ??
Damn, i have the same problem.............
Is it possible to make the structural elements appear curvy instead of being like segments?
I think so, coz the family element follow your reference line at the model
THE LINK FOR FAMILY IS DOWN
PLEASE UPLOAD IT AGAIN
SEND ME ?
it's in the revit library (in revit - new family - back - english folder and it should be there)
It uploads upside down. Please help! Thanks tho
