Actually we did it (this building have done by my company) in rhino and Archicad. And what you did even closely not the same as it have been done. If you want see real model of this building. Let me know.
Yes it is pretty hard to achieve with a none nurbs/mesh modeller. Have a look at the Archicad "try" if you like: czcams.com/video/_CufugKxb4E/video.html
Cool - didn't realise you were involved with this project, small world! Rhino is a great choice for this, I guess if it had to be in Revit then Rhino Inside and adaptives could do it now. I assume you achieved the roof form as a rollform and the ceiling in separate panels?
@Aussie BIM Guru That's right. the idea is was to create as many as we can same panels (same size) for the gold part. As you understand if we will have a lot of panel types, it will have a high cost for the client. We used Rhino+Grasshopper to create this network and achieved a pretty good result, in the end, we have only a few types of panels.
Yes, exactly, its shouldnt be same. But still the point of Balkan architects video was not to show that ''building is simple and modelled perfectly or precisely in Revit''. cuz he did it in a short period of time just to show basics for modelling such things. a real project for client etc. would include giving more time and finetuning every corner or detail . Thus, yess its also a matter of spending time and making finetunes as u said for the size of gold panels by grasshopper and rhino. By the way, its great that u did it, I knew ur channel but I didnt know u were associated with it. Great work :)) It would be great to see real model of that building in ur channel as a tutorial :)
Hihi, one quick fix for your problem with the intersecting roofs is to set one roof to be on top of the face and the gold one to be on bottom of its face. Good luck
Hi....can you please help on cut void videos on generic model(found in Model in place).....revit does not allow me to cut the void....( i tried to select the void then model nit it does not work)...
Do you have courses on building families? I work for an electrical engineer and I enjoy seeing my boss get giddy when I customize light fixtures and make them look like the lights we are spec'ing.
This is really cool!! I can't make roof though, I've tried changing to thinner generic one or any other one but it just doesn't work on my model... :( I really want this to work so I can apply material to the wavy roof. Is there any other way to check where my model went wrong?

Every university professors just tells the students to come watch his videos when it comes to creating something as good what Balkan Architecture does Edit: they also recommend his teachings courses because they know he is more advanced when working with complex design.
