  • A new band! Well, new for me. I finally get to a song that has been lurking in my suggested tab and I am mad at myself for waiting this long to listen.
This was a fun one. I got to a do a little mini cover and a mystery guest named Dave Grohl totally stops by for a duet. Check it out and see what I mean.
I don't really know anything about BAND-MAID beyond the one cover I did a few weeks ago. This song made a fan out of me and I look forward to learning more about them!

This video is from 2018 Zepp Tokyo show. Big difference is that, there are multiple tall screens at Studio Coast show, but not for Zepp Tokyo show.
Also CROSS is not composed by Kanami, but a person by the name of NORA, who also composed OOPARTS.

You are noticing the difference between an early song, written by outside talent, and a band written song. Their first 20+ songs were provided by their management. Since then, about a 100+ tracks are all Band Maid. Main ideas primarily by lead guitarist Kanami Tono. Bass and drums are fleshed out by the respective members, MISA, and Akane Hirose on drums. Lyrics are by rhythm guitar Miku Kobato, with some input from lead singer Saiki Atsumi. My personal favorite is Blooming, but best song is very open to debate. A common saying is "I have 20 songs in my top 5."

Welcome to the pigeon-hole of Band-Maid! The only band more important to me than Gacharic Spin. Yes, you can stone me for that, but that's the way it is. :)
MISA on bass is affectionately called 'The Barefoot Assassin' because she usually plays, you guessed it, barefoot. Equipped with her basses from the company 'Black Cloud' (in this case a custom 5-string aka "Black Smoker") she is indispensable for every song of this band. Together with Akane Hirose (pronounced A-ka-ney) on drums and Miku (pronounced Me-kou, founder of the band) on rhythm guitar, they form what I consider the best rhythm section currently active.
Believe me, 'Cross' is an awesome song, but you haven't heard anything yet! The probably most recommended song is 'Domination' (Live!), and I can only agree with that. But any other song from their large catalog will do as well. I didn't believe it at first either, but the statements are true. There is not a single bad one among them! And even though Saiki (pronounced Sai-key) won't surprise you with extreme vocals like Hana or Angie, I promise you that these ladies will still leave you in awe with their versatility now and then. :)

I'm surprised that Non Fiction Days didn't grab you as a bass player, Misa wears the whole of the neck out on that one. If you manage to find the Studio Coast 2017 performance of Non Fiction Days (last song), they absolutely killed it. It might not have taken the roof off but I reckon it blew the doors off.

I did enjoy the song but I never ended up circling back to more songs by BAND-MAID. I get into loops where I'm listening to the same few songs over and over while trying to learn it and I end up needing a break. I'm glad I came back to them!

To be fair, Cross's composition is credited to NORA and arrangement to MIRAISONIC, whatever that means. That said, They have a ton of great Kanami (lead g.) composed songs, with MISA and Akane fleshing out the bass and drum parts, and Miku (rhythm g. & vocals) writing lyrics. They are definitely worth a deep dive, even if they don't usually include key changes.

Akane (The Gorilla 🦍🍌) - drums
Kanami (Mincho) - lead guitar, main composer
Miku (The 810 year old Pigeon) - rhythm guitar, 2nd vocals, sometimes lead, main lyricist, band founder and visionary, racehorse owner, Poker shark, Pop Idol (see Cluppo), Omaginaitime conductor, and World Dominatrix
Saiki (The Ice Queen) - 1st vocals, occassional lyricist, and that's all
And of course MISA (The Barefoot Assassin) - bass
Strap yourself in for a few months.
Deep end songs - Giovanni, Without Holding Back, Corralium, Blooming, plus about 100 other original compositions. As others have said, there 1st 3 albums were written by others, including NFD, but since Alone, it has been just them writing.

Welcome aboard, Mota. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 178 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:

BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (125 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom.
Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular!
Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: czcams.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/video.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): czcams.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/video.html)
And many songs are represented with 50 well produced music videos. czcams.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts:
     ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” czcams.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/video.html
     Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” czcams.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/video.html

 “P and D⁴” 30+ Photo Collage videos at www.youtube.com/@PinD2/videos
And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. Here’s two of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue:
 Shot by Pat McKee from their 2023 US tour concert in Detroit: czcams.com/video/DgxU-MVjta0/video.html

If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

    Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 29 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.
    [BAND-MAID NEWS]
 BAND-MAID PRIME - Special Video Distribution Website. Along with nearly 50 great play-through’s by each member, concerts and skits, Band-Maid management / label(s) have included the Acoustic Christmas 2021, ZEPP 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 concerts! From one musician to another, with music theory and execution in mind, I can say with confidence that Band-Maid is unlike anyone else playing today.
The Maids are the most unique and interesting musical artists to come along in a generation.
Kanami, the lead guitarist, composes the most balanced, creative and dynamic songs you’ve ever heard. And the talent surrounding her puts them pretty much into the “uncoverable and uncopiable” territory.
The have the exceptional ability to make incredibly unique songs that fit in various genres, yet always sounding Band-Maid.
“Moratorium,” official live. You want riffs? They got riffs
“From Now On,” heavy metal instrumental; a song without words.
“Domination,” official live. You want dynamic shifts? Everyone solos? Crowd obediently going berserk?
Enjoy the ride. Prepare to be inspired. Band-Maid will make you a better music listener and better player

Band-Maid is the band you have to listen to at least 5-10 songs to work out what Band-Maid sound is. Their core is rock, but you will hear many different elements in all their songs. They developed and evolved so much in their 10 year band carrier, the diverse catalogue of music you are going to listen to, some have similar vibe, or solo, but most sound very different from one to another. Only thing in common is they all sound unique. Because all 5 members have very distinctive style that's instantly recognisable.

The difference is who wrote the songs. Their original indie label "Gump Records" provided songs for the band. *"The Non-Fiction Days"* is track one on their third mini-album *"Brand New Maid"* (May 2016). The lyrics are by Kanata Nakamura and the music and arrangement are by Toshinari Ohnishi. The last track, track 8, is *"Alone"* which was the first track written totally by the band; that means lyrics by Miku Kobato and music by Kanami Tōno. They followed that up with a three-sided single *"YOLO"* with *"Unfair Game"* and *"Matchless Gum."* *"Cross"* is track 8 of their next album *"Just Bring It"* (January 2017). It was written by Nora with lyrics by Nora and Kobato Miku. That album has nine tracks written and produced by Band-Maid, and four written by others. Since then they have written and produced practically all of their music. I encourage you to listen to more. A couple of suggestions would be *"Dice"* or *"Blooming"* but there are many many many examples. They released a new performance (from January 2023) of track 2 *"Puzzle"* and it's pretty awesome, too. Their most recent album releases are *"Unseen World"* (2021) and *"Unleash"* (2022). Pick anything from those for a sample of their current powers. I think Kanami Tōno is one of the best composers in the world right now. Now you understand why their fans are so passionate about this band.

@@YoMota They are a very good band. There is a bonus track on the standard edition of the *"World Domination"* album. It is a cover of ハニー *("Honey")* by Miya for his visual kei rock band Mucc - they were asked to do it for Mucc's 25th anniversay. It's on CZcams, search for Band-Maid Honey on the Band-Maid channel (no music video, just album art for a visual). Last year they participated in an online concert of music for the video game Genshin Impact. They did a song called *"Memories of Wind and Wine"* (the Dawn Winery Theme) from the Genshin Concert 2022. The whole concert is still online but it is long. Ron Ayala has it excerpted on his channel. Kanami is brilliant as a guitarist, as is MISA on bass, Akane on drums, and Miku fingerpicking her Zemaitis. They make other people's music better.

Since the release of "Alone" on 'Brand New Maid', Band-Maid has been composing and preforming music THEY want to do. "Cross" is from their 2017 album 'Just Bring It' and is typical of Band-Maid songs in that they consistently surprise you every time. They're good students and turn in "A" work every time, never missing an assignment and on this team assignment there are no slackers holding them back. They are incredibly good songwriters, musicians, and know how to put on a unique and memorably entertaining show. The Maids know how to have fun!
This August they will be starting the 2nd North American leg of their Tenth Anniversary Tour. Starting with TWO appearances at Lalapalooza they will go on to Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, Spokane, Sacramento, Anaheim, and Mexico City. I saw them last May in Detroit and Columbus. Best live band currently touring.

Aha you've got to my favourite band! Been loving your Gacharic Spin reactions/covers and I'm very excited about what they're doing at the moment, so didn't want to distract you with Band-Maid recommendations, but very happy you found them on your own.
They have a very different core sound but I think Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin have a lot in common. Very technical, progressive, and lots of attention to detail, but still catchy, energetic and fun. Oh, and the freedom to draw from any genre at any moment and seamlessly incorporate it. But (as others have said) you'll need to listen to their more recent stuff to get that.

@@YoMota Here is the rest of the file for your information.
Band Maid was started in 2013 by Miku Kobato. At the time she had just left the Idol Group, Lil Cumin and she didn't like the type of music she had been performing. She approached her management agency with the idea of making an actual band playing rock music but dressed as maids. She had worked in a Maid Cafe and thought the image of maids playing rockin music would create what she called "The Gap" between what you see and what you hear. The Management company was like Ok, go ahead.
Miku then looked around and found Kanami a singer/songwriter who was posting her own videos on the internet. Miku had her agency contact her and Kanami thought the idea was cool and agreed to join. Miku then asked if Kanami knew a drummer who might be interested. Kanami had worked with Akane in the past and there is 2 versions of this, the first is, Kanami literally walked over to Akane's apartment and asked her, the second is Kanami called Akane and asked her. (Akane has said in 2 different interviews that 1: Kanami called her and asked if she could come over and 2: in a second interview Kanami just came over) Akane was actually hesitant as she had worked in an "All Girl Group" before and didn't enjoy it as it wasn't the type of music she wanted to play. After hearing a Demo, Akane was like ok, but was still slightly hesitant because of the "Maid Outfits", but she agreed to give it a try. Akane was asked if she knew a bass player and she had gone to Tokyo School of Music with MISA and had worked a couple of jobs with her. So Misa was contacted and after she heard a demo she was like I like the music, but she also was hesitant about the "Maid Outfits", but she relented and joined in as she really wanted to play the kind of music she heard in the demo. The 3 of them then "Auditioned" for the record company and passed the audition.
Now we have the "Core" members. The 4 members worked out some songs provided for them by the record company, and a setlist and they had performed 3 times with just Miku on main vocals. Miku after those performances felt that her voice wasn't powerful enough to really perform the songs she wanted. So she approached her management company again and asked if they had any singers who weren't in other projects. They then auditioned several singers. Miku heard Saiki rehearsing in a room across the hall and asked if she could be auditioned, the record company then had Saiki audition.
Saiki was signed to the same management company and had done some work as a backup singer and dancer and was asked if she would be interested in auditioning for this new group which currently had 4 members and she would be the fifth. She had been a member of a group with 8 other people as a backup singer and dancer, and HATED it. So she listened to the demo and thought "Cool" because she liked the music.
Now we come to the tricky part. Miku KNEW that if Saiki was told about the "Maid Outfits" she would say NO WAY!, so they didn't tell her. They told her they would have "Cool/cute Clothes"(I've read it translated either way), and she never met Miku until a few days before they had a contracted performance. She wasn't told about the "Maid Outfits" until the day before the performance, and she had considered backing out, but she had signed the contract. (Saiki also had NEVER met Miku until then as well)
So the Ladies, went and did the performance and Saiki really, REALLY liked the crowds reaction and the music they were performing. She DIDN'T like the apron she wore so it got ditched after the first performance.
And you now have the beginnings of the BEST LIVE HARD ROCK BAND in the WORLD!
      ALL HAIL BAND MAID!!!!!
Now that we have the Full band, it was felt that there needed to be a second guitar. Saiki was like, "Not Me, No Way." So Miku said, "I'll do it.", at first that was literally all she did, was hold the guitar and mime playing it, until Akane said, if you are going to hold it, you NEED to learn to play it. And Miku said, "Ok.", and Kanami started to teach Miku how to play. The Ladies released their first album in 2014 "Maid in Japan" which failed to chart, but later after "Thrill" it was reissued and charted to #26 in Japan.

Then in 2015 they released "New Beginning"
On New Beginning was the song that changed Band Maid's entire existence. "Thrill"...
The band was getting ready to release their first music video and the choice was between "Love, Passion, Matador" and "Thrill" and the ladies chose Thrill. (Little known fact, Miku helped with the lyrics on Thrill but did not get credited)
This became the seminal moment of Band Maid. Because their second album charted at #64, the record company was seriously considering disbanding the Ladies and switching them to other projects. (In fact they had Kanami and Akane work with Mochi to Cheese thinking that when Band Maid cratered they could use them in another band. MISA had also just started working with Mochi to Cheese as well). However about 6 months after the video's release, a Facebook page "JRock Radio" posted the video to their timeline. And the video went viral. Having over a million views in just a few short weeks. The Ladies Twitter page got so many hits they thought their page had been hacked. Their CZcams channel also started getting more and more subscribers and views to Thrill.
Now the ladies knew where their fans wanted them to go. Harder Rock, less pop. And history was Maid.
If you would like any more information about the Ladies of Band-Maid, please don't hesitate to ask.

Band-Maid's pretty darn great, Misa's style really is something. And since you already know FCK (which isn't rude, that's F Chopper Koga's shorthand...) you may want to check out Sokoninaru at some point. Misaki is so often ovelooked, but she is an amazing bassist, and with those three you'll know my personal Top 3 :)

One more S tier player that I forgot is Miyu from Asterism. He's the youngest bassist ever to have a signature ESP 7-string bass and I think he's the only one i've ever seen thump-sweeping.

Tonally this isn't quite classic Misa but it's getting in the right ballpark, when she joined the band she was playing a 70s reissue Fender Jazz four string (which you would've seen on the Non-Fiction Days MV) but that started to struggle whenever the song required downtuning (Band-Maid now typically have the guitars in Eb or drop C#). So initially she got a G&L five string which handled the tuning aspect perfectly but the dual humbuckers it came with had a rounder tone with less bite, twas used on their first full album Just Bring It, where they had greater creative control (music writing credits for 9 out of the 13 tracks, previously they'd released three mini albums and only had full music credits for one song, 'Alone').
After that she switched to Black Cloud (a smaller Japanese luthier) and for many years played two Beta-J5 basses (including the one in this video which later got it's maple neck replaced with a full rosewood neck, as part of the Black Smoker 'custom shop' part of the range). She's more recently had couple of additional custom five strings made by them, one SG shaped P-Bass and an offset (Jaguar/Jazzmaster style) PJ. She's kind of a reverse Koga in that she plays mainly plectrum bass, but also has a nice slap bass technique that has come out more over time. I love the punchy grinding, kinda low mid heavy tone she gets in songs like Dice. For a long time her go to amps were Orange but more recently she's experimenting with Aguilar.
Band-Maid don't genre hop like Gachapin but still cover a lot of ground and get rather intelligent with their compositional elements. I first got into them around 2017-18 as their sound was more immediately palatable and consistent, pre-Angie/Yuri Gachapin was a harder sell for me at first back then as they could be almost too unpredictable. Their live show is really impressive, usually 20-24 songs across two hours or thereabouts. What kinda direction would you like to try next?

    • @YoMota
      @YoMota  Před 11 měsíci

Thank you, you are a fount of knowledge.
I'll have to keep searching around or that classic MISA tone because I liked what I was hearing in this video.
And direction? So many things. I have a list of bands and songs I want to break down. And then I generally hear something and want to learn and cover it. My 5 string should be arriving in August. Hopefully, I'll be going in a few directions.

    • @guitarandy2406
      @guitarandy2406 Před 11 měsíci

@@YoMota Something else to factor in with the two songs you've heard so far, is that both are from before Saiki had her vocal cord polyps surgery, her voice is a lot stronger now. Also Miku has come on leaps and bounds as a rhythm guitarist since (she didn't actually start learning to play guitar until after the band was formed and Kanami is her teacher)
To scratch your muso & bassist itch I reckon the following tracks would make for a good introduction. Listing them in chronological order, official live videos unless otherwise specified:
      - Awkward off of Just Bring It (live or studio version)
      - Dice from World Domination (MV version just for the bass tone, for a while it's the track I'd use as the gateway introduction to the band)
      - Domination from the same album, but the official live version from 2020. Has an extra middle eight section in this arrangement that's very nice.
      - Onset, their first instrumental track, again the official live version is a good choice. Miku looks so happy, like she's been invited to the big kids table for the first time, musically speaking.
      - Blooming from Conqueror, a song where all members get a chance to shine, Kanami asked them all to bring her ideas and she'd combine them into a single song. Not their heaviest but enough ideas crammed into one song to reward multiple listens. Cool MV as well.
      - Wonderland from the same album, the closest they've gotten to prog rhythmically and a real workout for Saiki's vocal chords. Live version from 2020.
      - No God from Unseen World, go for the official live version from BAND-MAID ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) as opposed to the newer version from Tokyo Garden Theater. Lots of fun bass parts.
      - サヨナキドリ "Sayonakidori" which was originally on the same album, but the version from their Acoustic Online concert. The latest of the Miku lead vocal songs, bit like Tomo-zo she has had one feature song on each of the full albums, though her role vocally is more like Oreo and in the early days it was more of a dual vocals approach.
      - Finally 'from now on' off of their last EP Unleash, has a full MV and is their most recent instrumental track so would be good to compare with Onset.
That should be plenty to get you started, Band-Maid is a rabbithole I fell down deeply but I let myself become over saturated and then GS 5.0 stole some of my attention. Most of their catalogue is top notch.

You honestly haven't seen anything, yet. Seriously. I like this song, but it's pretty "in the middle" compared to 40-50 other songs in there 120+ catalogue. "Why didn't anyone tell me about this BAND-MAID SONG??"
OK, here's your answer. Imagine that you experience one of the following:
    A. While hiking you discover Bigfoot squatting next to a campfire roasting weenies and making smores.
    B. A UFO lands right in front of you and an alien gets out to hand you its "Message to the People of Earth."
    C. You discover an all female Japanese quintet dressed in maid uniforms, all of them incredibly talented beyond reasonable expectation and they have a huge catalog of music that rivals The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, or whoever. And they've been around for ten years, all their songs are exceptional, and you've never heard of them before.
When you try to tell the story, NO ONE IS GOING TO BELIEVE YOU. The story is just too incredible.
Band-Maid has so many great songs that fans find it difficult to narrow down their list of favorites to a reasonable number. That's one reason so many songs get passed over. Another reason is that Band-Maid has powerful songs that can touch your soul and fans think, "Is this just me?" When you dive into the Band-Maid rabbit hole, you won't believe how deep it is: it keeps going and going.
Band-Maid just released their "Tenth Anniversary Best Of" albums. Two volumes, 15 songs each, and when the track lists were announced, fans were commenting that many of their favorites were left off! Many commented that they could easily compose a track list for a Volume 3!

@@YoMota I think you did just fine. That key of E you referenced is simply the "alternate major" to the D flat minor, meaning it's the same note involved. You were right.

@@YoMota You should go to Band Maid's CZcams channel their official LIVE video for Domination and watch them stretch out a bit on stage.

Glad you enjoyed them. But you only listened to 2 old songs written for them they had only very limited influence on. At this point you know almost nothing about their music. I hope you will check more, they are incredible.

    Curious about this bassist?
Stop doing everything else and immediately watch these MVs: Onset live, Without Holding Back, Influencers, and NoGod.
Because you haven't seen anything of BAND-MAID yet.
Maybe you'll regret not seeing these until now.

Why didn't anyone tell you about this song? Probably because at some point everyone figures, if you're a real fan, you will actively seek out unheard BAND-MAID music. There's load of Classic BAND-MAID out there. If you're really adventurous you can find mos of the stuff pulled off of CZcams on the Chinese site, Bilibili, including lots of videos from Studio Coast and the entire Zepp Tokyo LIVE concert. Consider yourself told. But getting a decent reaction video off of it can be challenging. Good luck. Pretty cool mixing Dave Grohl with Cross. Now lets see you combine 'Thrill' with 'Thriller'. It's in there if you listen hard enough. However, I like that you're trying to understand the asending song structure of 'Cross'. Listening to BAND-MAID makes us all better musicians. Go to a Channel called Instrumental Maid. The have started posting the White Room Tutorials that BAND-MAID has put out over the years. Everyone should learn at leas one BAND-MAID song.

And I thought I was going to go 5 minutes on social media. Without having to hear about Dave Grohl and the Foo fighters. God one of the most overrated groups in the history of rock and roll. Sorry just my two cents. But I mean for the last 20 years this guy in his group has been shoved down my throat. Have a great day. PS 20 years from now no one will be able to remember one song of theirs !
