I never really realized how complex the drums were in the original song, not just in sheer speed or technique, but all the ghost notes and off beats, the weird rhythm and grooves. Akane said she had a really hard time (or the hardest time) with this song on Conqueror (but take that with a grain of salt, because she's very modest and likes to say things were difficult for her)

I immediately feel in love with CONQUEROR my first listen. It's the BEST album by Band-Maid, so poppy and rock oriented. I get a huge smile on my face every time a song from this album comes on. It's like velvet audio or ear crack. I absolutely love how they integrated pop into these songs, so well done. Catharsis is widely considered a weaker track, but just listen to how much layering and changing is happening.

Saiki: This song has a lot of things happening at the same time.
Akane: Because Kanami stuff so much into songs.
    Miku: Everybody is so busy.
Kanami: I wonder why I put these riffs into this song.
All except Kanami: You’re complaining now?
Kanami: This riff is difficult to maintain.
Miku: I’m struggling to play this.
Saiki: You’re not the only one, how about this melody in the 2nd half of the verse 2? How the hell did you come with this melody?
    Yup, they’re awesome. XD

You can hear the seeds of Unseen World in the album version of Catharsis. Kanami’s guitar work is really different for her… it reminds me of Steve Howe’s guitar work on the “Relayer” album by Yes. Fitting, as this song has the kinds of prog elements that become even more prevalent on Unseen World. Akane’s drum work also has a lot of prog sound to it as well. The acoustic version is so different! Yet it is a beautiful thing unto itself.

Dude, you probably have the best breakdown for this song amongst all the reactors. Of course, that just my opinion. Incidentally, Champ of Medium did almost the same thing as you (react to the original, than to the acoustic). Difference is, he had heard the original before, but had not watch the concert (despite actually having the tickets!!). You, on the other hand, had heard the acoustic earlier, and are now reviewing the original. It's amazing how both your perspectives are quite different, possibly because of the order of hearing this song.
So, on a totally different note, if both of you are not already friends, you should really have a chat with him. I'll bet that you both are going to hit it off really quickly.

She wears a loose fitting outfit and this happens? Highly unlikely that she would be so with a tour in the works (although Nao Kawakita toured with MTH until right before giving birth to both of her kids). BTW, in Japanese culture, privacy is highly valued and that question would be seen as highly rude. Actually, I don't sense any malice in your question, but still...as the song says...MANNERS? One thing I have learned in dating a Japanese woman, also a J-Rock musician, for 10 years...let them bring up personal matters on their own. I have seen people saying, "Whoa, she drank a lot of water at the gig," so, you know..? Well, so did Saiki, who was sweating bullets, by her own admission.
