Jessica Chastain deserved to win. Her take on Tammy Faye was spot on. She brought so much heart and respect to a woman who deserved better and who was a true believer. Jessica's performance was so flawless that even her voice on the recordings is just like Tammy Faye's. Congratulations to Jessica and her team. Tammy Faye must be smiling down on us!
Let's not forget that Jessica has been working on this movie since 2012 when she bought the rights for the figure's life. Let's just say that her effort a decade later was absolutely worth it

I first saw her in "The Help" and thought she was laid back and didn't quite understand her nomination at the 84th Academy Awards back then until I saw her other works and screamed "THIS LADY HAS GOT RANGE !!!" and I understood why she earned that Oscar nomination.
she was very brilliant in Molly's Game, Zero Dark Thirty and Miss Sloane.
This is one actress who had been overlooked by the Academy and I am GENUINELY GLAD that she finally got this recognition.

I always thought Media Campaign against The movie "Zero Dark Thirty" was very Bad for her chances of winning Oscar. Of course, all The old men of Hollywood voted for The "it Girl" of these moment, Jennifer Lawrence.
Note, four of the five nominees are over 40 years old and one of them was over 50. In a place that has been as ageist towards women as Hollywood, that is REMARKABLE.
Also, had only watched the Oscars this year in hopes that I would see Jessica win. Was so thrilled she did.

This was my favorite win of the night! Jessica Chastain is one of the greatest actors working today, and her performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye was brilliant! She nailed her dialect, mannerisms etc. Great group of nominees, but Chastain was the rightful winner.
