@tecpaocelotl no, if anyone actually follows the season, they would have known it was a 2 horse race and that Emma had BAFTA behind her, where Lily didn't even get nominated.

Then she made a point to walk up to all 4 other women after she took the statuette, except Jessica. I get "It's a chaotic moment and all," but this was Jessica's first Oscars in 27 years just to present that award and Emma treated her like she wasn't even there.

@leserrors7669- Don’t get me wrong, if the dramatic and/or biopic role was the best if the year, then it’s totally deserving to win, like Cillian Murphy in “Oppenheimer”. I’m just saying, movie roles from genre films often gets overlooked at awards shows, in favor for the more “prestigious” dramatic performances, and it gets pretty stale overtime to see the same type of roles win every single year. So it’s a pleasant surprise to a few “genre” type roles get nominated or win. (Natalie Portman for “Black Swan”, Robert Downey Jr. for “Tropic Thunder”, Daniel Kaluuya for “Get Out”, Maria Bakalova for “Borat”, and Michelle Yeoh” for “Everything, Everywhere, All At Once”.
