  • What I mean by "temporary" and an apology to some members of the tinnitus community. In the moment the nervous system is either moving back into homeostasis and equilibrium where it can conserve energy and rest or it is being activated into a positive stimulation that heightens awareness or emergency measures like the fight or flight response. To get better with tinnitus it helps to shift out of hyper-alert fight or flight mode and to drop back into homeostasis where the auditory can potter along again quietly ignoring sound until something important happens again.

    I love you man, thank you, thank you, thank you, I was suicidal 4 years ago when I got Tinnitus and man did I get it loud, but now it's like a distant whistle, some days I don't even notice it, you a saint walking my friend, God bless you

      @@dimitrios0072 hey! I know this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but changing your attitude towards tinnitus is more or less the only "cure." I've been in a similar position and I felt suicidal for a really long time. My T was a constant 8, a 9 on bad days. Today it's a 3 or 4, very easy to ignore. Try to think of tinnitus as an inconvenience and not as a crippling condition as you might now. Don't try to mask the sound, just let it be. It's gonna be super hard at first, but honestly if you give it a few months you will stop noticing it.

      @@bugosestfire hi Kromi! I would say for a couple of months? Maybe 3 or 4, which is really not an awfully long. Possibly unrelated but I visited an ENT and did a CT scan and my results were perfect hearing, no abnormalities. So I believe my tinnitus isn't caused by damage :)

      I am currently at that suicidal 8 to 9 out of 10 stage. I damaged my ears again with excessive noise. What I noticed though is that when it starts to get really loud out of nowhere, it can be a result of a buildup of earwax. I dropped some stool softener called Colace in my ear (recommended by my family doctor) and within one night I cleared a heavy amount of earwax from my ears with warm water in a syringe. My tinnitus dropped significantly. I could actually sleep with mild background sound again. I still have it pretty loud in one ear but I have tinnitus because of my hyperacusis injury from 3 years ago. Also consuming too much salt and sugar makes it worse for me. I don’t eat any canned foods or go to restaurants, everything I eat has to be organic or at least the nutritional facts have to be very low in sodium and sugar. I used to eat a lot of Activia yogurt. Now I only eat plain natural yogurt with my own fresh fruit for flavouring. Still would like to improve on other choices in life, but that’ll be worked on for now. At least sound therapy for tinnitus is therapy for hyperacusis. I used to be able to skateboard after my sound therapy improved my ears. I want that back 😞

When I first got T I am so relieved I found him but I reckon others were not so fortunate. Just food for thought.     Julian helped me a lot I can say I’m 99% tinnitus free from noise trauma extremely bad.
    The first month all the way to mid of the second it was horrible but the mora safe I started to feel and let go, drastically started to drop. Even last night I went to a lounge with very loud music, I go tinnitus to like a level 8 but I didn’t pay no attention to it and the started dropping drastically again. THIS IS NOT FOREVER, THE CURE US WITHIN YOU BUT YOU NEED TO REGAIN CONTROL.

      @Psc Education I still have it, but I have changed my attitude towards it both physically and mentally. I am more relaxed. As a result, I go through periods where it is much more quieter and sometimes I don't notice it at all. But I think what has helped me the most is Julian's positivity and hope, and the fact that he has sent out the message that Tinnitus can not only improve, but can even go away. I still have to deal with it, to practice, to be patient, to except that there will be days that I will struggle with it, but now I have that hope and the belief that there will come a time when everything settles down. This is what really helps me personally...

    What I did with my Tinnitus, was when ever I heard it break through into normal daily life, so to speak was to say internally "Hello T old friend". Over time this loosened or softened, my psychological response to it. Where the mind is the body follows. And although I am still consciously aware of it, its no longer a threat. Its just T. Of course like many, it would be great if it went completely - but you can get to this point. Just try it, and give yourself time. Peace & Love.

    Julian is the man who put me on my first steps to recovery , hes one of these people who having a calming affect on all those around him , hes been my inspiration to get where I am today , I now try to help others who are where I once was , you can recover and live your life without Tinnitus impacting on you ,You can find a path to recovery, I no longer hear my Tinnitus , silence
    has returned to me , the most significant factor in getting to where I
    am now ... not hearing my Tinnitus ... was and is ... mindset ... I
    retrained myself and my mind body and soul to remove Tinnitus from my

      @@yellowtank Regardless of how you or why you have been struck with tinnitus
      the two main biggest factors or causes for this in my opinion are :
      1. Actual Physical Noise Trauma Hair Cell Damage Induced Tinnitus
      or
      2. High levels Of Stress , Anxiety, Fear ,Anger, Anguish, Frustration,Depression...Neurological Induced Tinnitus
      Basically a neurological breakdown.
      there are other causes such as infection , tmj , medication ,toxins in the body and many other causes but the two main causes in my opinion are 1 & 2
      The good news is ...
      The methods to get better are the same .
      Heal and change the mind . There are scientific buzz words for this such as Neuroplasticity but I prefer to just say ...
      Heal and change the mind .
      Heal and change the body. Again scientific words for this such as Autophagy & Ketosis but I prefer to just say live a healthier lifestyle.
      Heal and change the body.
      There are many approaches to this however
      I highly recommend and favour Julian Cowan Hill for the mind & emotional aspect of this ,
      It was his methods have helped me find my own path to recovery so booking a session with him would be wise.
      There is also the body aspect ,
      which includes diet & exercise as well as other methods that can help.
      I found my path to recovery ....although I am... not completely "cured".
      I now have peace return to me again and am living my life with a new perspective on the world , life and how I react to it ...
      sometimes if I find life throws a curveball my way
      and I get stressed or allow myself to get angry my tinnitus can return ...
      the difference is now ... I know how to bring it down to ... zero ...
      and I'm not hearing it during the day. Tinnitus no longer impacts me or my life .
      This has become my normal everyday state. Not hearing Tinnitus.
      All the methods that helped me get to this state

      White noise ( when I was first struck )
      Hypno Therapy
      Cranio Sacral Therapy
      for release of stress and re discovery of how to truly relax .
      Tai Chi, for focus away from the sound .
      Yoga
      for focus away from the sound .
      Calming Down
      Counselling
      Cognitive
      Therapy
      Mind into the body - Training Gym.
      Meditation
      Anything Calming.
      Diet.
      Fasting.
      Cutting out people who cause you stress
      Changing the way you react to the sound
      to reprioritize it into the back ground.
      Changing the way you react to the world
      to avoid triggers and spikes.
      Basically the biggest factors ...in simple terms... mind set ... a healthier lifestyle and diet.

    Veo los videos subtitulados al español, y me ah funcionado todos sus concejos, estoy aprendiendo a controlarlo, tenia razón en todo, comi salados dulces en exeso y aumentaba, y la salud mental como ansiedad estres etc, igual, aprendi a relajarme a pensar positivo, distraerme comer mas sano y bajo, estoy aprendiendo a disminuirlo lentamente, muchas gracias por todas sus palabra concejos dios lo bendiga, enserio sin su ayuda no lo estaria logrando ahora me siento mejor que hace meses, muchas gracias, y seguire sus concejos, siempre lo veo :)

    Today I had stress and bad tinnitus day .Then I went to walk an hour to nature and quite soon tinnitus get mutch better and quiet . Now going to sauna and get more relax .

    Thank you Julian for your help and counseling. You helped me at the onset of T and five months in I am habituating. For those just starting here’s my advice to you, relax and don’t despair. Believe your mind will learn to deal with it and work on keeping calm. I wish I would have done that as i would have avoided months of freaking out and not behind able to sleep.

      stay up, mine is getting so much better, i had many days with absolutely no noise, 0 noise, 0 tinnitus call it how ever u want , but is possible, is hard but is posiible!!!

      @@Reroluelisre yeah absolutely, the first day I could hear it for the hole day, afterwards the Intesity start to go down, but at night it was a hell, I remember to be crying every night, cause the fear that made me develop anxiety, lol,. after checking my ears, the doctor told me I was okay so I started to think that maybe it was another thing who was causing tinnitus, and then is when I realized that anxiety can do that, my évolution after that was amazing, the most important thing is to accept it, at first I was with fear cuz I didn't want to accept it, I wanted to make it dissappear, but only when u accept it is when it really can dissappear. Afterwards it was getting low and low, at night I was with tninntius but it was lower, and one day suddenly I just forgot I had tninntius and I went to sleep, when I was falling asleep I was like, wait a damn min. There is no noise! And after 2 minutes it came back, that's cuz I started to give it attention so the attention is all, look, neuroplasticity is the thing that makes someone with tinnitus get "cured" should search on the chanel of Emma Mc Adam she talks with this with a neurologist, it really helped me.
      My advices that made me get so so better:
      Go check your ears to see if u have an ear damage. Tinnitus is not an ill is a symptom so there is something causing it, neck pain, bad posture, anxiety, medication....
      Do exercice it really helps
      Stop drinking caffeine and sugar drinks specially at night, sometimes of course u can but don't abuse
      Do meditation and the best thing, do Stretching, specially neck shoulders and back stretching.
      Focus on a project or something that makes ur brain beeing focused
      If u have anxiety work on it
      Most important, in all this journey u have to stay optimist, u have to be happy and focus only on it, don't focus on results
      If u do this things I'm sure u will get better, there is many ppl who healed u can too. I started to do that in summer 2020/October , and my results appeared at the 5 months or something like, dont focus on time cause that will stress u and stress is the principal trigger of tinnitus. Hope I helped u

      You weren't going mad at all. You were hearing through an auditory system that was in fight or flight or freeze mode. There are so many films where they depict people's horrendous and stressful experiences by slowing down imagery with confused sounds and pictures and voices all being mixed up together. This is very accurate to our actual internal experience. It's only when we feel really calm and safe again that we can see, think, smell and hear clearly again.

    Your videos have been life-savers to me. When I got struck with tinnitus I had multiple horrendous loud noises 24/7 in both ears and I thought 'game over'. Roll on a couple of years and I have learned how to get it to back off, keep it down and if it has a hissy fit, I bring out the 'circuit-breakers', such as a cold shower. At the start, I found it very frightening, which gave it more fuel. I now have benign indifference if it flares up because I know I can get it down again. I learned this from you - I owe you, thank you.

    I cannot begin to express how much you have helped since i found your channel 2 months ago. I have had tinnitus for 4 months and i am doing a lot better. I put into practice a lot of what you said i am experiencing more and more days of silence. I know deep within me that one day soon it

      @@karmakid272 hi sorry i don't have IG. I have to start by telling you it gets a lot better. I am 6 months in but i have days that i do not hear it. I changed my diet by cutting sugar and a low salt diet. I meditate, yin yoga is very helpful, i distract myself with my hobby which is painting. I don't use white noise cause it drives my Tinnitus crazy. I use soothing sounds at night which works wonders. Sleep was hard but not so much. I still need help with it so i take stress relax tranquil sleep chewable tablets. It works wonders. I also gives myself Reiki every night for half an hour. Your attitude towards your tunnitus plays an important part. I refused to let this insignificant noise rule my life and how i live. Even when i was having hyperacusis i said no way the T is not gonna win this. I just went through it. When i have my spikes which happens i know it will come down and it always does. I give it no importance and i know one day it will back. away. I have 2 family members who had it and they said it backed away. Once in a while they hear it but very transient

      From what I’ve researched on the internet through articles, videos and comments I have discovered that tinnitus or ringing in the ears can be the result of noise, head, physical and/or emotional trauma, high blood pressure, dental problems like bruxism (teeth grinding) or TMJ (jaw clenching) at night while sleeping, excessive ear wax or ear infection or other ear related issues, stress and anxiety, certain medications, Epstein Barr, Menier’s or other illnesses, EMF’s from WIFi/5G or upper cervical subluxated Atlas and Axis (C1 and C2) neck related issues and even chemicals from hair dyes, personal care products and cosmetics, certain allergies to foods, Salicylates, oxalates, lectins (otherwise known as Plant Paradox), bad diet or nutritional and/or vitamin and mineral deficiencies like vitamin C, zinc, iron, iodine, magnesium, D3 and K, and even parasites. Some people also believe it’s part of the ascension process into a higher frequency and that it’s the sound of angels, higher beings, the cosmos or God communicating with them through their hearing.
      The standard explanation is that the brain is basically in fight or flight mode and you’re hearing your own nervous system on red alert. It can fix itself over time by using a process called habituation which is accepting it and getting used to the sound and/or neuroplasticity which is fundamentally rewiring the brain and creating new neural pathways by training it not to hear the sound which makes it recede into the background and eventually disappears because the brain sees that it is no longer a threat and as unimportant. This is achieved through the repetition of positive mental affirmations, visualization and relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, yoga, Qi gong and/or exercise and/or neck release exercises called trigger point therapy, upper cervical chiropractic adjustments and/or regular chiropractic, certain dental procedures which involve the use of mouth guards and jaw releasing, relaxation and massage exercises, cranial sacral therapy, EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique also known as ‘tapping’, hypnotherapy, visualization, and other body and mind relaxation therapies and/or masking with nature sounds or pink noise. What can also help is reducing/removing some or all coffee, teas, sodas, alcohol, salt, sugar, spices, condiments, dairy, carbs, nuts, seeds, the night shade family of veggies, salicylates and oxylates from the diet and intermittent, 24 or 48 hour wet or dry fasting. Some people see results whether they’re vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters and even some do none of the above and still get better over time.     I have Tinnitus as long as I can remember, from early childhood. It's normal for me and I'm used to it, it doesn't bother me that much at all. But I would like to experience silence if possible. Do you think a Tinnitus like mine could improve or go away? I've been to many professionals but have accepted that nothing really changes it.

      What are you looking for is to feel very deeply relax like you have switched off. Let the hands-on therapist drop you into stillness and bring your system back into balance. Any good experience body base therapist can help you. I particularly like Craniosacral Therapy because it works at a very deep level where you can tune into the buzzy charge and help that release into stillness. The most important thing is you find somebody you like who is easy to get to, and who reliably helps you feel very calm and relaxed. I would go once a week for a couple of months if possible. Make sure that it is beneficial. If you feel like nothing is happening then move onto a different practice.

    I am so thankful for your videos, Julian. Through the past 15 months I've been through hell and an insane amount of money for therapy. What helped me the most was an audiologist (who had T himself) and your channel.
    Now my noises have gone from 7-8 different ones to mostly hissing during the night.
    And I've gotten a puppy so all my attention now goes elsewhere. When I hear T now I have other priorities than listen for it 🌷
    I am close to being thankful for this horrible experience, I am a stronger and better person and have learned so much 💙 Thank you 💙

      @@laisa. hi. So glad to hear from you! How’s your new life going?
      To a certain degree, yes. I’m over the ‘wish this would go away, I’ve got to get rid of it, freaking out’ phase. I tried the Liam route of fasting, keto, cold showers and it went down a bit because there was no inflammation in my body but I lost way too much weight and food limitations were a drag. However, my issue is also neck related so I’m having Atlas upper cervical adjustments for that. That’s another story and quite interesting at how the Atlas (which is the bone in the spine that cradles the head) can cause all kinds of illnesses including T as it disrupts nerve flow to the rest of the body.
      At the moment I’m just letting it be. I’ve realized my mind and emotions about the pandemic, finances, etc have had a lot of impact. I also
      found out that many people are getting T from Airpods, either from noise trauma and/or electrical signals wreaking havoc with the neurotransmitters in the brain, myself possibly included, as there have been many complaints to Apple about the latter.
      So, illness is multilayered and getting to the root of it can be like being a detective. If we search hard enough and ask for divine guidance, I feel the answers will come.
      Julian has definitely been one of those answers. ❤️🙏

      My life is so much better now, and I've learned how life happens moment to moment, the present moment is free from the past and future - which consist only in our minds as memories and imagination. It's been a deeply spiritual journey for sure 🌸

      @@laisa. Airpod volume was not the reason so many ppl have been complaining about getting T. It’s something to do with the electronic noise reducing signal causing them to get it. Possibly changing signals in the neural brain system. Even ppl who are just listening to speech. Of course not everyone is having this experience. Just us sensitive types I guess. But yeah, noise trauma from earbuds n headphones is also one of the main reasons ppl get it.
      BTW what kind of puppy and what it’s name?

    I have tinnitus since 2017. Julian and his videos has gotten me to get over it. 4 weeks ago, i was focusing to much on the noise. I searched forums, because i've had enough of it. But these are echo chambers of temporary suffering. I have it now like in 2017. Intrusive noise, very loud over all thing, hyperacusis.
    please don't let your tinnitus and your fight of flight response get too far. I haven't heard it for weeks since 2 years, before that. It IS possible.

      Personally I think its best not to wear anything in the house. It's good to habituate if you can and put your energy into calming and settling the nervous system with yoga et cetera. Of course if you're using the food blender then you may need to use protection for the loud household activities. But with time your internal sensitivity should come down again the more you relax and switch off.

    I have had tinnitus for at least 20 yrs. For most of that time, I didn’t hear it unless I looked for it. A little over a month ago, I was laying in bed. I turned around and the normally low tinnitus that I had turned very loud. Panic, doom and gloom sent in instantaneously. I was a mess for weeks. I was absolutely terrified. With the help of your videos, I have been able to do a lot of self reflection. I have been in a high level of stress for many years. The pandemic has only increased these stress levels. I am beginning to view the loud ringing in my ears as my body’s way of warning me that I have been neglecting myself BIG TIME most of my life. Your videos have given me hope that the spiked noises that I have been experiencing can and will indeed go away once I am able to control my stress levels. I feel blessed to have come across your videos. God bless you!

      @@nilsasalgado2777 thank you for asking… I’m doing better. I have to admit that I can still hear the noise, however, it’s not as pronounced as it was before. While I am at work, and busy living life, I don’t notice it as much as I did in January. It’s really not until I am about to go to sleep that I notice it. It doesn’t prohibit me from falling asleep either. I am in the process of decreasing my stress levels, but have not committed myself the way that I should. I work in a school so in two weeks my Summer Vacation will begin and I plan on really committing to my mental, physical, and spiritual well being. In the meantime, meditation has truly helped me a lot. I really love Joe Dispenza’s meditations ESPECIALLY the Blessing of the Energy Centers, which you can find on CZcams.

    I'm not sure I like this new interpretation of temporary. I've had tinnitus for almost 1 year and it all but gone now. Your videos have really helped me. I hope your not saying that I'll have it forever.

    Julian, I watched a video of yours where you said sometimes tinnitus just goes away, or is significantly reduced. In your experience, does that happen with people who have hearing loss related/induced tinnitus?

    When taking a shower , let the water drop on your neck , middle of head n neck , and close your ears, you can hear the water drops deep inside you while you have your ears closed, for me that is like meditation, thats a way to find peace for me and almost like a meditation. try it

      I would just take it very gently. In my experience it's best to work with symptoms and take their advice, if you see what I mean. You may wish to trial slow walking meditation or some of the other techniques in on the app. The best thing you can do is to practice different approaches and techniques and find which one suits you the best and know which ones will help you on any particular day.     Can anyone relate to this:
    I've had tinnitus for 2 years solid now.High pitched ringing,mainly monotone but sometimes more than one tone at once.Left " ear " mainly.
    Worse at night
    Remember as a child ( 40s now ) hearing similar high pitched ringing in my ears/ head but was always quick to disappear.Still get those seemingly unconnected loud ringings..I wiggle my finger in my ear and this always seems to get rid of those.
    Moderate hearing loss..again had some since childhood..suffered a lot with earache etc.
    Suffer from eye floaters,again since childhood,although the childhood ones were exclusively clear joined up bubble types...which I still see but also black stringy ones now.
    Had and have bad neck and back issues since the tinnitus worsened.Connected ?
    Just wanted to know if any of you good peoples tinnitus and history are like mine...perhaps there is a link
    I've also noticed a lot us sufferers seem to be sensitive souls..again is this a link ?

      Had glue ear as kid and operations. Thought tinnitus was normal so habituated it for years. Certainly seems worse at evening, but I guess it’s because background sounds are quieter and a natural tendency to try to listen for tinnitus which makes it louder. I’m not a sensitive soul and quite stress tolerant, but I do get stressed. However, as I’m so tolerant to stress it is hard for me to determine when I’m actually stressed as I don’t get anxious etc. Hope that helps

      I would say yes to all of the above. Neck and back issues mean you’re out of alignment. This can cause the muscles to tighten as the body tries to correct itself. Many physical ailments result including tinnitus.
      The Atlas is the main bone that keeps the body aligned. When it’s out Tinnitus, migraines, eye issues result. The neural system is akin to cars moving on a freeway. When one car crashes and stops a traffic jam ensues. The neural system behaves the same way. When the Atlas is adjusted many of these issues go away as the neural pathways are opened up to allow healing.
      I’m having Atlas Orthogonal adjustments myself and am noticing a difference with several issues I’ve had for years.
      There are five types of Atlas techniques:
      Atlas Orthogonal (uses a percussion instrument)
      These use manual manipulation:
      Blair
      NUCCA
      Knee Chest
      Toggle
      I’ve read these all work well in conjunction with Cranial Sacral.

      @@80srenaissance67 yes. Excessive wax and had them blown out when I was 7. No problems as an adult but this may be a genetic thing yet no one in my family had this issue. Dairy, food and pollen, grass allergies can cause ear problems too because of excess mucous.

      @@JulianCowanHill Nice one today I tried a little exercise of my own, lay comfortable in a silent room and listening to my tinnitus for just 5 minutes while doing deep breathing exercising and centering myself, it took all the fear away from the sound and silent space.Admittedly my buzzing is probably only a 5 out of 10 and only a few days with it but can still be terrifying, I'll try the exercise again tomorrow for 6 minutes it went really quickly not slow and painful as I thought it may be..Not everything works for everyone obviously but never give up.

      Yes I do. Our brains are not designed to hear their own internal buzz but rather to hear the external world out there. I believe that once we feel safe again, and when we can shift the focus onto more positive and interesting things, and practising calming things like yoga or tai chi and self soothing techniques We can all get better. We need to learn to leave our ears in our hearing alone so that they can revert back to pottering along quietly in the background.

      @@JulianCowanHill true but to how much of a degree? Ben Thompson said in his video on your channel that he has never been bothered by his T, yet he still has it. Which means he must feel safe and no activation of anger/sadness/fear is being stimulated.
      Personally I have heard (and felt) my T switch off completely for around 1 minute. However i have had it for 2 years 24/7 now, and it's still persistent. So i wonder if it is possible for it to switch off and stay off or whether this is the new normal i have to learn to live with. True silence is what we all long for, I too would like to experience being back to pre-tinnitus but wonder if its possible without medical intervention or devices like Lenire mute button

      It is a real landmark when we first start hearing 0/10. I remember how shocked I was to hear silence after my 20 years of T. It is important because we know it can happen. We have to deal with the frustration when it comes back and the journey is to move into "so what mode" which takes experience. In my experience people start having more and more 0s that last longer and longer when they stay on the path of self-soothing and calming the nervous system and leaving the ears alone.     I'm taking antidepressants and clonazepam since then My tinnitus spikes every other day. Why is that so?

    You don’t need to apologise for anything Julian, you have done so much to help people with this very difficult condition. Take no notice of the trolls who seem to actually enjoy being miserable and a “victim”..you are never going to persuade them of your methods. They obsess endlessly over a magic pill or some weird surgical procedure that’s going to immediately “cure” them - it’s never going to happen as most of the condition is driven by our attitude and behaviour.Carry on the great work -all the best 🙏😄

      Thanks for your support and feedback. Fortunately the positive feedback far outweighs the shadowy stuff. Being a psychotherapist has helped me see how we can often project our shadow onto others and then blame/attack them for it. Putting things on CZcams has been a training in learning how not to take comments personally!

      he recommended lowering salt intake and cutting sugar where possible. Might need to make the changes gradually as making big cuts can be stressful for the nervous system too.

    What about at times when it is spiking? Like, for example- I have been really tired today. I didn’t get good sleep. And my tinnitus is blaring. This after 4-5 days of very low, to unhearable ear noise. How does one get more of the quiet/very low and less spikes? Is it possible to come out of a spike the same day as a spike has happened? How does one end spike days?

      This is where we need to pull out all the stops. Practising different techniques, we build up a toolbox of coping strategies. When we have a spike we need to pull out the strongest ones! So cold showers, a good hour at least of yoga, massage chairs, sessions with hands-on therapists. The spikes come down fast as they can when we stay with practices so we can weather the storm without becoming emotionally activated or distraught. This takes practice. I find getting help and support is one of the best things. We all need to have a repertoire of things that help us on a bad day. On my app there are many different techniques to try out.

      My spikes happens when i am tired and had a bad night sleep too. But have gone from spikes lasting days to hours in a day. I perform 30 minutes of reiki on myself which i find helps tremendously.

      Unfortunately this can happen. I have come across this a few times. It goes away depending on how much practice you do and how much hands on help you are able to get. I highly recommend Craniosacral Therapy to help your system settle. If you cannot find a CST therapist near you find a good body-based practitioner who can settle your system and help you switch off.     Hi Mr. Julian! 1 month ago after one week very bad flu (maybe covid maybe not) tinnitus came here too and since then I have it 24/7. Went at 3 doctors and they say the hearing is ok and no visible problems. What can I do? It’s the pressure I feel on my ears that scarry me now. N.C.

      @@LukezyM no, they gave me some blood flow pills (tanakan), some sinusis pills (sinupret) & milgamma (ginko biloba). Tinnitus from 10 to 1 after almost 5 weeks now at 5 (constant high pitched). Calming & accepting the situation helped me. I’m sure tinnitus will fade away but I’m worried because of the TMJ pressure 3-4 hours episodes I have. Will keep you posted, ask me anything you need anytime. All my best! N.C

      @@cl-zachwilliamsstudios3358 Ok, so you got the treatment. I also got tinnitus 1 month ago. They gave me this pills that increase blood flow in the inner ear. Let’s hope they help a bit. Ginko is supposed to be good too.

    When I'm lying in bed at night in despair because I can't sleep I notice that if I touch my face the noise gets louder. This doesn't happen in the daytime even though my tinnitus is constant. I have unilateral hearing loss due to menieres, and it's the same ear that I have tinnitus

      I have noticed that people with menieres sometimes are suffering from upper cervical problems. Like c1/c2 misalignments. It's also more common to see unilateral stuff with cervical problems. Laying down puts more weight on your neck and I imagine makes you more sensitive to movements and touches to your head. I have a cervical problem and am seeing an upper cervical chiropractor about it, and it's helping. Either way, it doesn't take long for them to evaluate your neck and is usually covered by insurance.

      @@feoleb I'm in Wales and we have the NHS thankfullyt. I had a brain scan and x-ray on my cervical spine. The X-ray showed more wear than 'normal', but nothing that should be problematic. Really interesting what you've said and certainly something that I need to look into, thank you 👍

      Neck misalignment and possibly AirPods caused my T. Have had two Atlas adjustments which have helped sciatica and neck mobility but not T. The C4/5 are subluxated so during my research I came upon prolotherapy. Just had PRP injections today to help heal the ligaments and tissues in the neck which recent upper cervical chiro X-rays showed were due to a decades old whiplash injury which became chronic after dancing in my living room to relieve pandemic stress last April. (Here in the US insurance does not cover any forms of Prolotherapy. 10 injections from C2 to T1 cost us $1,000.)
      If the Atlas and Axis are out if alignment a whole slew of physical ailments can proliferate. Adding Prolotherapy, PRP or Stem Cell treatment can help healing further along and are becoming very popular in the sporting and alternative medical industry. The healing success rate is very high. As far as results, it can take weeks to months for an issue to heal/resolve. If anyone here wonders over time what the final results were and if the T finally went away please feel free to ask and I’ll reply. It’s my first day so give it time. Cheers!

    Severe Tinnitus is caused by irreparable damage to the hearing system and no amount of positive thinking or mindset control will cure it.
    We can’t spend twenty four hours a day in a cold shower, Julian.
    These pep talks are fine for people with mild Tinnitus but for someone like me with loud, unrelenting high pitched ringing they are hopelessly inadequate.
    People commit suicide due to this condition, that’s how impossible it is to just “switch off”.
    There is no cure for Tinnitus in it’s most aggressive form.

      Being angered and irritated by your own nervous system is really challenging because it causes a reaction. It is like fighting yourself. I have found irritability comes down when we shift the focus onto calming practices or find an outlet or get help to switch off and settle. Once this all calms down then symptoms can back off. It's good to get really absorbed in things that are good for you and take your mind off it. It is even better to bring the reactivity down.

    I believe I am experiencing what you describe here. Which would explain why it is much worse some days and non-existent others. The days of quiet are few, at most 5 days a month which tells me something triggers it and that there can't be permanent damage in the inner ear. I have habituated to my high pitched right ear tinnitus but the low pitch left ear tinnitus is driving me mad. The body vibrations that accompany it are awful and hard to ignore. But this can't be permanent if I have 4/5 days a month tinnitus free.

      You’re right about so called ‘ear damage’ in that if it comes and goes it’s not the inner ear but the brain.

The ENT I've been seeing believes the vibrations I experience have to be from an external source b/c if I pick up my foot I don't feel them in that foot, only the foot touching the floor. If I pick of both feet I don't feel them in my feet, but I do feel them in my buttocks which is touching the chair that is touching the floor. AND they are non-existent if I'm riding in the car. Some days the vibrations are non-existent but I feel like I'm rocking in a boat on the lake, which brings MdDS into consideration. If I leave home, and go shopping I don't experience the vibrations or the right ear low pitched tinnitus. But when I return home it returns. If you have any input about this aspect, I'd be interested in hearing it. I've been searching for answers for a year now. Initially I believed it was external, but am not certain of that now.

      @@dinahsoar6982 so if you’re saying you only hear it when you’re at home here’s some info Liam Stops T talks about in his videos. Scroll down to the ones about wifi that I found on CZcams. You may be sensitive to electronic devices in the home. Also, there are many ppl who are empathic who pick up other people’s energies. Electromagnetic frequencies in the outside environment can play a role too esp with all the 5G going on. Also still, it could be neural in that your body is reacting in some way to physical aspects around you, perhaps eustacian tube dysfunction. If you fast and find that it goes down my guess is it could be diet related. When I stay keto and do occasional fasting the noise goes down. I also put a mesh cover on my router at night.

    Perhaps he has helped some people with mild tinnitus but he really doesn't know what catastrophic tinnitus is, noise that is SO LOUD it's impossible to ignore it without maskers.

    So everything you've been saying for years now about tinnitus being 'temporary' is actually not true. Tinnitus is actually permanent but your negative reaction to it is temporary. So how did you get rid of yours? Or is it just a case of you still have it but have habituated to the point where you hear it if you search for it but not otherwise? That's the dream......

      I'd like him to clarify. Who is he apologizing to? Has he been talking about remission or habituation this whole time? He talks about his tinnitus in terms of remission. Habituation is good too, which 98% of people achieve. If you don't notice it, who cares? Is that what he's talking about?

      You can defo get silence 100% everyone can you just have to have the right mindset, I'm writing a book on this right now julian has been my inspiration. The problem is being stuck in the FREEZE response it's basically like taking one step forward then two back, just keep going and believe then one day it's gone
