Практически все эти мелодии мне знакомы знакомы с детства. Хотя и не знала многие названия. Но "Bella, chao" узнаю сразу! Мелодия "O solé mio!" у меня ассоциируется с "Ну, погоди"😊
When I was a kid, I used to think that Tarantella Napoletana was the Italian National Anthem because every time that I watched a video or a commercial about something Italian it was almost always playing in the background. 😄
"O sole mio" sounds so good here, the low notes on your piano have a very unique quality to them for some reason, and of course the performance is excellent as usual :)
Lord, thank you for these songs, but you forgot this: "Le brutte intenzioni, la maleducazione la tua brutta figura di ieri sera, la tua ingratitudine, la tua arroganza, fai ciò che vuoi mettendo i piedi in testa. Certo il disordine è una forma d’arte, ma tu sai solo coltivare invidia, ringrazia il cielo che sei su questo palco, rispetta chi ti ci ha portato dentro. Questo sono io" You should play it in an next episode, please.
As an italian, thank you for these songs: we're going through a horrible period, and seeing that people care about us and our situation is heartwarming. Hope we can get well soon... thank you again ❤
Wow! I loved it! I recognized every song but, as you knew, didn't know all the names. I'm Italian American and grew up listening to these songs whether played on piano by my Paternal Aunts, or on the classical radio station. Thank you! I'm immensely in awe of your playing!

I can honestly say that I have heard the majority of these songs. I never knew they were something much larger. Much of these pieces have been played through out the years in commercials, cartoons, tv, film, covers you name it. The ones we remember most are the ones that stand out more because they are used more. Taratella Napoletana and Funiculi Funicula, I'd hear as a child regarding anything that had to do with Italy. Funiculi Funicula was always played when something had to do with "pizza". Or they would use Taratella Napoletana. First time I heard it was in an old 'Disney cartoon. It was a 'Jack and the Beanstalk' skit with Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Goofy and Donald sing 'Funiculi Funicula' as they awaiting food to be brought back by Mickey trading in their cow. William Tell Overture, somehow became synonymous with anything that had to do with running. Especially horse racing. Violon concerto, was often used associated with visiting museums, catering events, anything grand. Ranz des Vaches, I'd hear in just about every cartoon from Disney, to Looney Toons, Tom& Jerry, Tex Avery, etc... It was always played as a backdrop for "waking up" in the early morning sunrise. O sole mio, was another I'd seen in cartoons from Disney, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Tex Avery, etc... It was always the something to have you laughing. It shows you just how many of these songs have been with us. Timeless classics, that we never knew where they originated.
Don't forget that the theme for The Lone Ranger was The William Tell Overture. Try to listen to Toscanini conducting it, Incredible and it was the version used for the TV show.
