I was a kid in the 70s and all of those old cartoon themes were my a big part of my childhood soundtrack because they were always in syndication back then. There were quite a few shows produced during that decade but the old classics stand out way more in my mind.

In 20th century most people didn't notice the effect since only the people with big publishing companies behind could create things that get published to the masses. Internet changed this and now companies (ab)use the wide extent of the copyright law to enforce their rights. They have the legal right to do so. Basically we need to adapt copyright laws to 21st century and shorten the length of copyright. However, the 20th century law allows publishing companies to make obscene amounts of money that gives them a lot of power in lobbying and manipulation.
This is seriously bringing back some great memories.

I think Lord Vinheteiro is giving away how old he is here. The mid-80s were especially important to him.
Children no longer watch cartoons in front of TV. There are no longer shows common to the entire generation. Internet, for better or worse, killed the "the intro trick" for musicians.

I agree, because I was born in the late 80’s and I don’t even know some of these cartoons! I knew every other era, and I wouldn’t be looking at the screen to guess, and I kept looking back at my phone during any 80’s song because I didn’t know some of the songs
@@the-chillian Just for his name (...aaaand a quick check on his social media for good measure!), I can tell Vinheteiro is Brazilian. I can't say for other countries, but most of the earlier cartoons in this video were popular here in Brazil for a long time. They played and re-played daily (both on the early-morning children shows on free channels, and on the children-targeted channels on paid television) from the 80s until the mid-2000s -- and were a big part of the childhood from most people I know born within that period. So it doesn't tell us that much about how old Vinheteiro is, apart from the very wide age range of 20-40.
(That all being said, my quick search for Vinheteiro on Google when looking for his social media also gave me his age, and you are absolutely right. XD)
@@NinaVilela Oh, the EARLIER earlier cartoons, sure. That was true in America too: Popeye and Tom & Jerry and the WB cartoons are absolute classics. But there was a big hole from about 1960 to 1980, with only "The Flintstones" and "The Pink Panther" but missing out on dozens of others, many of which are far less obscure than some of those he picked up with later. (He's also missing out the entire Harvey catalogue, although that was never anything too special. Not even Caspar the Friendly Ghost.)
