We only see the people that get caught; it's likely that many are successful most of the time.
In EU you can swallow drugs and you free to go. The scanners aren't x-ray

The TCA agent asked “ you know this man….?” I said nah, just saw him on the flight…The agent said “you sure?” I just walked off and waited to hear them running after me ,but they didn’t…

As an American who lived about half of my life in Europe (Germany) and has worked really close to law enforcement officers due to my job I can say that they are way different than the police in America. Different cultures, rules and laws

the fact that half of these were based on body language is crazy. they can pick up on the way someone is walking or looking around. its pretty obvious once the bags start to get searched getting closer and what not. but to know b4 they even start looking through their stuff is amazing.
100% agree, my brother actually worked for loss prevention at Kohls and he told me after a few months or so you really are able to spot certain behaviors, and mannerisms of shoplifters trying to sneak things past checkout or in their pockets, but yeah it's amazing how skilled they are at weeding these people out.
It is not the body language per se. The cabin crew are trained to identify people who do not take any food or drink during any flights. If u don't for sure you will be stopped.

I love how much respect they give them, they even tell them they are arrested before even cuffing them, and very calmly and respectfully too.

I love how chill all the customs officers are about the whole thing. They have a very British lack of excitement. In Australia, if you are an internal drug courier you get taken straight to the hospital and given powerful laxatives while an officer holds a bedpan under you. You can hear the little "tink" "tink" of the packages as they hit the metal bedpan.

They had one woman who passed the drugs in a airport toilet in Indonesia, since you don't want to get caught with drugs in Indonesia, she ate the pellets out of the toilet and then caught the plane to Australia.
Arrived with gastro and feeling very unwell, and presented herself to police since she was worried one had broken and wanted to go to the hospital.
Don't know about you, but when I heard that for the first time, I fet a whole lot better about my low points in life.

the laptop was a a bit on the big side first of all but also had a bulge on the top side

The absolute most polite cops and criminals I have ever seen. Ever! I love how people just accept they are being arrested.
Every time I travel I try and look as suspicious as I can to see if they pick me yet I have never once been pulled out from the line. Must be hard to fake nervousness.
They won't give you all their trade secrets, body language is just one tool, they have x-rays, dogs, other means , so they won't reveal.everything on CZcams

I give these guys a LOT of credit, to just stand there and say, “You are under arrest.” He is SOOOO chill. I would expect the people to NOT stand still after those words. Granted they can’t go to far without TONS of back up coming but still…!!

So, many times, officers watch people from the point of origin, on the plane, and when they arrive at their destination. They watch behavior, their bags, ect... so sometimes it's random, sometimes it's after observations.

@Chase10995 Was my 1st time flying and because I was nervous and ddnt know where to go....they thought I was a drug mule 😅😅😅 searched me ,screaned my bags bt I told it's my 1st time flying out of my home South Africa and I'm all alone and scared....and they were so compassionate and helped to even reach where I was staying.😊 it was happy ending for me as I did nothing wrong bt same thing happened when I went back home

I have a Davidoff leather backpack that literally every time (I’ve had it a good 20+ years) I go through security I’m pulled aside and they do the little white pad wipes thing on it. Idk why this backpack ALWAYS sets something off, but I plan accordingly for it time-wise.

@Spritz86 My hands tested positive for something in Rome, got pulled out, questioned. Scanned, nothing on luggage. I could not believe it. Thought for a moment, hand wipes on train...luckily had an extra, gave it to them, it tested the same as my hands...off we went home! Thankfully they were very nice about it as the entire thing was a shock!

I know I’m in the minority here but I feel so sorry for these people once they’ve been caught. I can’t imagine the sheer terror they’d be feeling. And often they’re forced into it due to debt. I know not many people will agree but I just hate seeing people in distress.

I got searched like crazy two years ago, but I did have a few one way tickets from Peru to Mexico than back to the US. It was annoying, but I had nothing to hide, and there was nothing for them to find. They were doing their jobs.

International drug smuggling is probably one of the most hazardous occupations out there. A lot of people don’t want the mule job, so it’s easier to chance it with force on someone else. Someone doing this independently I think would be more rare.

On our way home to SFO from Heathrow, my husband and I were searched and questioned mercilessly by the airport officers. They even pulled us off the plane after boarding! The BA flight attendant apologized, and explained that they’d been having an uptick of Americans smuggling at the time. Thought for sure we’d be spending another night in the UK.
One night out of the US is better than a week in the US

Everytime I travel outside the country I'm stopped by customs or cops. I remember when I was in Sicily they stopped the car I was traveling in on the way to the beach and stripped searched me in the street looking for drugs. Then they searched the car with a canine. Of course they found nothing. My friends who I was visiting amd staying with were angrier than I was and told me they singled out the car b4cuase they probably thought i was Morrocan or North African. When they found my American passport they told me to put my clothes back on. I'm sure a lot of people get stopped who are not mules but just have a certain ethnic look. Black and brown people will always be the first to be targeted whether they look guilty or not. When white people are profiled it's becuase they actually are doing something, displaying guilty behavior or their body is gving off sins that something is wrong ( like unwarranted sweating).
