They don't get this money by working, it's usually borrowed, land disputes or something that allows them to get this money.
It's a one shot opportunity for them to invest all this money into getting into another country and there's no going back because people might be looking for them.

Nothing worse than getting a beautiful piece of fish and then having to try and work with somebody’s steak knife because that is all they have in the kitchen. Also, it seemed like she used her laptop case as a briefcase. I have a case that I use in a similar way. It mostly has my notebooks with 25 years of recipes in it but there is also a few resumes in there, for sure. It’s called networking. Never know when you will meet someone to pass a resume to. Comfortable? Comfortable? People who are desperate enough to leave everyone and everything they know, spend their last cent and are ready to do the most grueling work with no security and always at risk of being exploited are NOT looking for a 'comfortable life.' In some cases, it's a matter of pure survival for themselves and their families in their home country. For some of these people, they may be the only hope for their family to escape hunger and want or get an education or have enough money to escape a war zone or famine. If you are sneaking into a country instead of flying in first-class, you are not looking for 'comfort' but a chance at a decent life compared to the hell you face at home. I work with foreigners living in my country, most of them either students or professionals, and they all miss their home country, family, food, familiar people, places and things, their culture... They may know it's a huge advantage to have a European education or to live in a stable, peaceful, well-organized country, but they have made huge sacrifices (or their family has in the case of most students) for the 'opportunity.' If they could work or study at the same level in their own country, they'd be in their own country.
